However, and in public space, in my opinion, it is quite legitimate to point out something that is obviously wrong or incorrect, regardless of whether the person has proven it himself to do it better. Because constructive criticism, if formulated politely, can only help everyone. It is important to make up your mind and not accept everything willingly! Always and in all areas of life!
This was in no way a restoration. In fact, it is a FAIL. Removing and reinstalling the old rubber simply ensures leaking. Painting the case makes it harder to shed heat. All that was done here, only shortens the life of the unit. In a professional shop, even a simple cleaning includes seal replacement, which was also not done here. A restoration comes with a long list of parts to be replaced.
I viewed this expecting a complete overhaul. Well, these guys have just cleaned the exterior, no checking.of.end float, renewal of bearings, thrust washers, gaskets etc.... This transmission is no better of than when they started. In my humble opinion, an utter waste of time and effort. What have you proved that you can clean and put togther an assembly!!! what a joke.
Ну видимо да. Подшипники судя по цветному окрасу перегретые. Дефектовка не сделана, разобрали, грубой корщеткой все зачистили, даже посадочные места, герметик при сборке только в одном месте помазали, и то чуть ли не пол тюбика. А вообще в начале видно что коробка со сгоревшей машины
Ну да ну да нахй эти подшипники менять, главное помыть тогда и работать как новая будет, даже не смотря на то что она горела так не происходит же никаких изменений структуры металла, главное помыть с Фейри! Давно такого бреда не смотрел
RIP to the meaning of "Restoration", this was just a cleaning, nothing more, there's no checking of bearing or synchronizer, and most is the gears, good cleaning but not a restoration

Love Japanese manual transmissions. My 2006 Nissan Frontier manual transmission still shifts like a dream. When I heard Nissan executives got rid of them, I told Nissan I'm getting rid of them and going back to Toyota who still makes them.
Надо название Угарный ремонт коробки. Что она с горевшей машины эт понятно. Такое ощущение ,что ее разбирали раза три. Я тоже до последнего ,думал то что все ремонт коробки. А тут мойка в порошке корпуса. За чем-то главную пару ,было мыть. И так подшипникам уже каюк. Еще и бинзинчеком помоем. Высушили все . А еще одно ,прокладки бензином им же трандец,она и так дубовая они еще ее помыли. 😄😄😄😄😄😄

For years plus of doing this stuff one of my favorite things to do when I had a chance and access was to steam clean everything or pressure wash everything drain everything out and put kerosene in it and run it and wash it out then when you take it apart it's all clean when you pressure wash it it's all cleaned off too many people on RU-vid waste time with screwdrivers wire brushes and scrapers and air tools with discs on them get the grease off first especially some of these TV shows where they're using drills and wire wheels when they're doing restoration they're spending hours and days when all you need is a high-powered pot pressure washer to blast everything off rather than scraping and scrubbing and hand wire brushing and wire Wheeling with a drill I did this crap a long time ago I'm just not the lucky one to have a shop given to me by my parents
But see it’s not terrible to him. Now he’s got a clean good looking transmission that someone will buy off of them. Plus to him it is fun to do these things
@@Radionut Yeah I know. Everyone likes shinny machines. Though it is misleading to call it "Restoration". I feel bad for anyone who would buy it. They would end up with a whole lot of headaches a few km/mi down the road.
This was somebody cleaning a transmission and leaving brush bristles inside of it. Also you should not paint the transmission after cleaning. The video is really not titled correctly as the bearings,seals and other wearable parts were not replaced as would be in a proper stock rebuild or restoration. Good try though as everybody starts someplace and will learn as they progress.

Все стало понятно когда чел начал откручивать гайковертом с головками не срывного типа) Ещё и через удлинитель обычный из набора) Орнул знатно, смотреть дальше гайковерта не стал и так все понятно)))
Nice cleaning and washing of an old transmission, but really, really far from being a restoration, in fact if you put it back on a vehicle most likely would fail soon. For ckeaning a trnsmission you dont need to disassemble it, washing and cleaning is on the outside surface.
Os Srs deram uma aula sobre como pintar o Câmbio, mas também deram uma aula sobre oq não fazer. Não desmontaram o câmbio, não trocaram os anéis sincronizados, não trocaram os rolamentos mais importantes, não trocaram as juntas e não trocaram a trava da 5° marcha. Coitado de quem comprar este câmbio.
3rd world repairs, 3rd world performance. Not a single bearing or seal replaced, paint on gasket surfaces, no torque wrenches used during reassembly...yeah this won't end well.
This is not a restoration, in fact all the components and mechanism inside were already in good condition..Cleaning of outside casing was enough, which you did :)

I didnt catch the name of the micrometre? what was it? , How much ware was on the baulk rings? they are made of bronze so they ware evenly?. How was the fork fingers?. Did you pre-load any of the bearings?. at least they had some freebies! extra burs you left them on the flats. I didnt see a torque wrench used anywhere. But at least its clean and shiny
I can guarantee the transmission was better untouched. Makes you think twice about purchasing rebuilt/restored transmissions. Looks new from outside, absolutely nothing repaired inside besides replacing parts where they belong to. Great idea actually for a quick flip, but an absolute disservice to the person who will be using that transmission.
Japnese & Korean manual gearboxes like Honda , Toyota, suzuki , Hyundai - Kia made are the best in the world. They don’t cause transmission loss of power like other brands. Because of that the horsepower & torque measured on Crank is transferred to wheels without any major loss like other car brands
Она где-то лежала и гараж горел либо снята с горелой машины. При чем давно, даже масло всё выкипело и всё заржавело. Собрано конечно с грязью. Сожрет там всё со временем. Болты видно что сорваны до этих чудо мастеров раз сто.
Torque specs....? Or nah? We'll just slap it back together...it'll be fine...enough people have made better points on what can be improved with this "restoration"...whatever works for you guys...
Это не реставрация, это создание видимости, аля перекуп стаил... Старые просто отмытые запчасти, как тут уже написали новых запчастей таких как сальники, подшипники, синхронизаторы просто непоставлены так как не дефектовалось ничего... Так показуха для просмотров
