Be aware that if you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, when you polish it out your windshield WILL be distorted.

I used to put talc on a wool buffing pad. That took care of the sandblasted look and then polish it with wax.

6:21 "see clearly the glass is gone..." There's a couple vent windows in it tho, that's glass 8:07 it's date coded.... Lol!

when buffing glass one thing to remember the deeper the scratch the more glass you will be removing, and you can cause a distortion when that is in your direct view it can be just as bad as seeing that scratch rule of thumb if you can feel it with your fingernail don't try to remove all of the scratch just try to make it a little better

Probably wouldn't use a pneumatic rotary if you can get ahold of something with controlled speed like a buffer. Clean it, clay bar it, clean it again, rub it down with Nufinish or car wax, let it dry, buff it off, better than rain-x.

what would be interesting and quite cool/stylish if someone made or customized existing bench seating that has foldable arm rests and body rests for when you're going racing but if you're cruising you can fold them up and they look like a normal seat.

Been watching a lot of Power Nation's uploads which begs a question that I hope will inspire a cool hour or longer episode... How many years has Tommy Boshers been apart of Power Nation? How many different shows has he been either an actual host or in the background wrenchin'. If memory serves didn't have a Mullet when he was first seen?

Watching as the cars and trucks are being made rust free and then all painted nice, afterwards cutting into the metal to install things and leaving all the cut metal edges unprotected, I was just wondering why?

Texas law does not state that windshields are required on any vehicles. Love my state

I doubt that's true. Most modern cars require the windscreen to be present because it's a critical structural element in the roof in the event of a rollover. That means you're dead if such a car doesn't have a windscreen and you flip your car over.

@@andoletube maybe but did the whole internet thing and that was I came up with. Also just a few days ago met a el Camino on the road with zero winds and had texas tags and the sticker on the a pillar. Driver was wearing goggles.

@@war_moose5814 I would imagine there is a specific date of manufacture, after which you have to have the windscreen installed. Probably mid 80s or so is when the windscreen became a structural element, but anything pre-mid 80s probably isn't affected. Kinda like with seatbelts - if your car is pre-seatbelts, you don't have to have them. Although in the case of windscreens, the roof was stronger in pre 80s cars and the glass would have contributed relatively little strength.

@@andoletube what I found the only thing that is needed is that if a windshield is installed working wipers and cleaning system is needed. Years ago when I was stationed in Oklahoma I remember laughing about only dot approved eye wear being required in Texas....was an MP

My vintage alfa has rust fog along there perimeter of the windshield. I guess its staining the glue layer that sandwiches the two sheets of glass together. Any way to remove that without me having to buy a new $1000 windshield ?

I live 5 miles from town my wife drives a Chevy me I have a 71 cuda it's in the shop getting ready to be restored. I will not drive a Chevy so I bought a clapped out Dodge omni for 50 dollars. Wife's Chevy is new. Mopar or no car.

I'm not a huge fan of the show's new format. 90% talking, 10% actually working on cars. Super dark shop is distracting. More corny jokes over actual information. Idk man, it just feels off compared to the Power Block of the past.

@@zacharypokorny5126 Because Chrysler makes a minivan that's faster than most of those 60's-70's "muscle cars". If you don't believe me, look it up. Even modern pick-up trucks can run 13's from the factory.
