Thank you for this video. I wasn't even in the U.K. when this happened, but the horror has never left me - until now. Amid the terrible carnage we find a young man, Usman, who embodies true humanity. This video has helped bring healing to me.

The fact that he targeted kids is what hurts the most. Usman is a hero and deserves this moment.

This still hurts to me. I wasn't at the actual concert, but I heard the bomb go off when I was at my house and my mum ran down stairs and said 'what was that?' and then we read the news and a bomb had gone off and we just cried. It hurts much more when it is in your hometown and you could hear the actual explosion. I just kept thinking about those who died during that tragedy. This year, when covid is over, I am getting my first tattoo of the Manchester worker bee on my hand so I can always see it and so can others. I will always love you Manchester

I remember seeing an older interview with Usman from soon after the bombing. He was so deeply traumatised and blamed himself for not being able to save some of the most grievously wounded victims. He was so deeply affected and it was heartbreaking to see how tortured he was with grief and guilt. Usman was a true hero, humble, compassionate, and selfless. I hope he has the peace and healing he deserves.

That shot at 0:19 still hits me. As a father, the thought of standing there knowing something terrible had happened having probably heard the blast and wondering if your child is going to be coming over the walkway

ptsd is a real thing and it is hard no one really can understand it’s like you’ve seen the unimaginable and the world continues on

Diversity is our strength

After the report yesterday finding criticisms with stewards/security etc them being young knowing nothing who would be flipping burgers otherwise,probably passing time earning a bit of money - what an insult to this young man who was 18 at the time look at what he did he saved this woman's life. Of course emergency services should be there in a flash but watch some 999 progs once in a while who want to critise them not going straight in - on these programs they are advised not to enter dangerous situations by police unless its safe ie stabbings, shootings etc. Yes they're desperately needed in this situation but what good are they to you if they run into danger and there's another bomb, there's a gun man on the loose and they get caught up in it who treats you then? Even pre covid as this was the NHS were stretched so what stretch them more by putting them in a risky situation for something to happen to them? As much as many emergency service workers turned up that night they haven't got a never ending supply of staff so if anything happens to them then not only do the people caught in the bomb need helping they will as well. They're no good to anyone injured or dead too. I read a while back that all who were there to help initially were 1st aiders not proper medical staff etc. Next time you think just a 1st aider remember what this young man did and also bear in mind that 1st aiders like paramedics have to consider their own safety/danger 1st before they attend anyone. Those 1st aiders there helped as much as they could not having a clue if there was another bomber or shooter etc possibly putting their lives at risk so be appreciative of those who do 1st aid too they don't just get told how to put a bandage on they get taught things like CPR too. Well done Usman you were an 18 hero who apparently should've been flipping burgers instead you saved a life. Be proud of yourself and all the best to you x

many people in this situation face the fight or flight BUT in some cases there are some that ..for lack of a better way of putting it .....run on auto pilot like this guy did , don't think just do ..worry about the rest later. i know this feeling all too well , while i obviously wasn't there i've faced situations that would make many sick but for those on auto pilot they are literally unaffected by the situation but deal with the immediate problem and deal with the emotional side at a later point. example : i saw a car accident and the lady drivers head went through her front window screen of her car which literally scalped her , tore the skin from above her eyebrows up to the top of her head i had to literally hold that large piece of skin in place AND hold her head/neck off the glass until emergency services arrived to take over , it didn't hit home until a couple of days later like a ton of bricks.

The FAULT is not the security at the theatres, it's the security around our country which is at fault There is none !! It's a free-for-all. In many peoples opinion, and mine !
