So, I love VW Beetles. Volkswagen just has a certain pull for me, whether old or new vehicles. Of course, those are not their only designs I like. I'm a fan of their Golf line, and the Corrado is another (really it is a mix of the Golf and the Scirocco anyway... lol). The Golf II Country is really a cool entry in their lineup in that it's basically an all-wheel drive / 4x4 Golf. I like the extras added even the hanging spare.

I can remember when the Golf Country came out. There were even some in my neighbourhood. Wasn't seeing so many but they were always something special. Nowadays totally rare. I guess I've only seen one in the passed 10 years and it was on a classic car show. I am not a big fan of these resin models from OttO and some other brands. The details are looking pretty amazing - although you can't open anything. One problem are the windows. Avoid to touch them in any case because once these are loose then it's a hassle to get it back (some glues may change the visibility of the foil). Sometimes it is seeming like that OttO is testing the demand for certain models because some time later it can happen that you will get similar models from Solido - an OttO brand as well but metal diecast models (but you can only open the front passenger doors at them and you've a functional steering on the front axle).

It would be wild to see one of these in the flesh!!! And yeah, Otto is ok and they actually price their models decently but I do wish they'd get in the full opening diecast game because they have cool licensing and execution. And agree on the windows!! Solido is another brand that for the money produces quite a good number of cars but yeah, for some I wish they were fully openable S well.
