You can tell how excited he is every time he gets his hands on a super car. It's funny and great.

Beautiful car, mean looking, but the days where the average guy could buy a muscle car are gone.

The 2014 Camaro Z/28. The car everyone loves to hate. But the car those same everyone's, couldn't afford.

The 5th gen z28 is by far the best looking version of the Camaro. More attractive than any 6th gen. If only they could've kept the look of this car with all the benefits of the 6th gen design.

The cinematic style introduction to the car, but then it just suddenly drops all music to you just standing there next to the car, keep the music, but quieter, and have more camera angles, it makes me feel like I'm watching an infomercial from the 80's!

So the true question... Zl1? or Z28?

I want to thank you for doing these reviews and wish you luck on your journey and I hope you are able to continue doing quality producing. The Z/28 is a car that I am proud Chevy built and I thought the music you chose for showing the car was perfect.

I dont know why people go out of their way to bash this car, I really dont like the way Porsches look, (With the exception of the 918) but I watch every video on them because they are a part of car culture, something not to be ignored. They also feature superb engineering and storied driving feel.The Z28 is going to track well and test well, along with the Z06 will post roughly in the top 5 to 15 in every measurable catagory that car magazines use as a metric. This is especially the case for the Z06...this car is counter establishment, attitude on four wheels, and if you dont like open rebellion with the smell of tire smoke and a car that can cover hot laps at Leguna Seca than that is truly your own fault. This car wakes up in the morning ready to fead on pretentiousness. Car design is supposed to evoke a response and if that means you hate it, then just as many people will love it. I would rather a car's design be devisive to the enthusiast community than it take Zero risks. Its the price of moving forward and evolving Icons that have existed for 35 years or more. I get tired of hearing Euro snobbery, yes I love the same cars you do, but you dont have to put us in the interigation room behind a one way mirror for liking or even loving cars beyond the scope of what you deem respectable. Much like the early years of car developement we are quitly living in an age of wonders, where there is a progressive power war, accelerated tecnological developement and overall tremendous growth going on around us as we speak, respect it and move on if you choose not to stay.

how i missed this review. anyways, great review, i just love the 5th gen 'maro. it's just impressive the evolution from the 2006 camaro concept to the 2009-10 camaro ss, and so into the 2012 camaro zl1, and the last 5th gen 'maro update and also, the wildest, the z/28 camaro.

My father had a 1978 & 1981 and I had a 1979 Z28 I loved those cars and still do. But this new Z28 is at a new and higher level than those. What an awsome car, sounds great!!!

Great review Matt! I've still got my eyes on a future BRZ purchase, but man, V8's sound fantastic...Makes getting something like this or a 2015 Mustang GT a real temptation.

Almost 80 grand for a Camaro? Bit overpriced considering it's just a restyled Holden Commodore with an old stock Z06 motor in it.. Z/28 must've gone to the Porsche school of selling you less car for more money!! LOL! The only reason it manages impressive lap times is thanks to the ENORMOUS and enormously sticky cup tires on it.. Put normal sized, normal tires on it and it's lap times would be mediocre. If I was into Camaros, I'd save the money and go with an SS or ZL-1.. Then strip it out and put the cup tires on myself, ending up with a car that's almost as fast or faster, for less.

Damn, that Z28 looks absolutely bad ass in black! ZL1 is the mac-daddy for the straight line, but if I had to make a choice that Z28 would be IT! Loving the exhaust cam, I did that on my 2005 mustang GT review and it just makes the car sound more awesome!

A friend of the family has one of these, same color. She is 60 years old and will never track the car, ever. Not sure why she didn't just get an SS or 1LE. Oh well, at least someone will get an awesome like new Z28 someday if she ever sells it. I love my SS but this is on another level.

I would love to get a fifth generation base Camaro with six speed manual with the LS7 7.0 liter V8 with after market cold air intake, exhaust, black gloss rims, racing tires, etc. That would be an nice muscle combination!

Damn, this one didn’t come default with the RS package gauges?? How sad… The one driver/sports car-influenced part that allows you to keep an eye on the car’s performance/operation in live time (yes, yes, I know it’s not 100% accurate).
