If it only cools a small space then do you need to have it on all the time when you are there? What about on those really hot days, do you need to keep it on all day?
Does your unit make a shutter sound or a rattle sound when turning off? I just purchased one and it does make a sound when I turn it off. Just wondering if it’s normal. Thank you!
How to ensure there is no mold/mildew growth inside the machine? Or how to clean the machine? Can we add electrostatic PM2.5 filters (those made for air-conditioners) ourselves, to reduce any mold/mildew? I bought 2 such machines recently, but don't know how to do this. Many Thanks!
How about placing it near the window in the bedroom (exhaust facing the window) and with ceiling fan on. Will it help circulate the cold air inside the room?
that’s actually the idea way of placing the cool focus. I cannot because I am not near the Windows or Doors for my room. Just bare in mind that, You will still have to keep the machine closer to you as it’s not suppose to cool down a whole room.
I went to a product available, Midea. But, did a rework to make it double ducting, adding extra duct that the condensor inlet not taking cooled air inside and avoid negative pressure. If you want to find portable AC, find the one with double ducting. Otherwise, super inefficient cooling expected
It's like trying to cool yourself off in a hot car with the windows down and one a/c vent on 🤣. Looks neat though! Thanks for the honest straightforward review.
Hey there, is it fine if you review a portable air conditioner and tell us how it fares? Preferably a local brand so that it can be easily purchased and related. Thanks!
Yang Yang do you have any example of portable air conditioner? Close comfort can be easily purchased and the delivery 📦 is pretty fast. Some got it within two days
SUPERADRIANME TV Maybe perhaps Europace? I’ve seen so many people purchasing it but yet there’s no video review of it till now. So it’s hard for me to pull the trigger to get one just by reading reviews online.
honestly this costs much more than a portable air con, which can cool the entire room. the savings in utility bills "earnt" from the lower electricity consumption would take a while to make it worth the higher cost lmao, not to mention all the deployment hassle to optimise its usage as well as the fact that it can only cool small area, while also heating other parts of the room with its exhaust
This is a paid review. I've personally tried this item. Live in Petth. It doesn't work as described. The cool focus pumps up cool air on one side but pumps out hot air on the back,so while you get cool air on you the net net on the room iincreases the temperature.
Steven Yeong thanks for the encouraging words. Yeah price point is high, that’s why I try to test out most scenarios as I can. but to beat the heat and not wanting to install an air con, this seems reasonable if it suits your needs. Worth it for a good night sleep.
@@stevenyeong1600 how do you like it so far? Is it ideal for personal sleep use? Worried that it only cools neck area but lower back/legs are hot and sweaty.
@@natphil8377 I don't use it for sleep. I put it in my study room as it gets really hot in the afternoons. I reckon if you position the aircon unit near your feet or head and the blanket can cover the aircon unit, it will cool whoever is under the blanket; feet, body, head.
@@stevenyeong1600 I work from home in an enclosed glass study room. I thought of buying this to put it right beside me or diagonaly infront of me beside my monitor. I have a pedestal just beside my chair on my left so I can put this unit on the pedestal. Will this help me cool down? Or is this overpriced
You have to see the USD to RS conversion to understand why. I purchased a unit due to living in wildfire prone zone and I paired it with a bed tent. Great sleep here and using much less power since I can leave the main unit off.
I have a tip to make stronger airflow. Remove the black sponge filter at where the air comes out. Put back the blue cap and push it upwards. Thank me later. :) U don't really need that black sponge filter actually. Remove it and u will notice much stronger wind
If you are asking about external compressor, then it’s no. This is a standalone unit. Hence the coldness and effectiveness cannot compared with air conditionings that have an external compressor
Avoid this piece of joke at all cost.....one look and u can tell the people who made this do not understand the fundamental rule of cooling a room.....u have to remove heat from the environment to the outside. ...most air conditioners achieve this by having an exhaust which vents the hot air and waste heat outside.... Without an exhaust u are just venting all the hot air and waste heat back into the room within 15 mins the heat will build up in the room to the extent that air con struggles to cool the room and the place feels like a sauna. In fact u don't need this just buy a regular portable Aircon disconnect the exhaust for 15 mins and see what happens.
Actually I am using it and I love it. My wfh desk is beside the window. So I direct the back towards my window while this blows on to me with aircon air. It does work and keep me cool. Better than a fan. But of course if u use it with the back facing your room, den obvious the back area will be warm. That's common sense
@@jamesmadison3108 yes even u instinctively understood how an Aircon should work, then u have to eject the waste heat outside in order to cool the room, except ur blowing it out the window which is terribly inefficient cause u know it's an open window ur letting all the hot air from outside flow into the room.... It's like turning on ur air con and leaving the door open...u should just get a portable Aircon with a hose or better yet two hoses But that's not how they designed it or intended it to be used isn't it?.....if they wanted to expel the heat outside, they would have simply included a hose....now u have to do all kinds of funny things like use a tent to creat a secondary environment within ur home..... Funny thing is, this stupid homeless Aircon isn't even cheaper than other portable Aircons.....and a portable Aircon is already super inefficient, this Aircon is a crime against humanity,u are burning 1.2kwh just to cool ur left armpit.
stupid design imo, hot air is still circulating around the room. Dumb design really. Its more of a outdoor/balcony cooler and whenever there is a power source. Just a waste of money. why not just get a "normal" portable aircon unit with a exhaust tube and place it outside the window or door. Much more flexible. And if you dont need the exhaust tube, remove it and it's exactly the same as this.
No everyone cannot want to have the tube installed. Like we said the video. It works for some. Hence we are detailed about the hot air circulating. Stupid or clever design is up to you to decide. Cos some may think the tube is ugly or not practical for their situation. All I can say is… be chill about it.
@@SUPERADRIANMETV tube is removable. Design is still stupid. The warm air is recirculated inside the room. There is no point in buying this. It defeats the sole purpose of what the product is intended to do, cooking the room/person. Air don’t flow in one straight direction as you demonstrated with a piece of paper and highlighting the Hot and Cold zone. Air will move around the confined area and circulate. That’s why AC unit cools the room without directly blowing straight at your face, the air circulate. With this, the warm air is still circulating. I watched their ads of them placing this unit at the bottom of the bed. How is this cooling? The warm air is still in the room and bit being expunge out lol. Just my honest opinion, this is stupid.
What an expensive gimmick. Just buy an efficient mini split AC to cool your whole room. My Mitsubishi Heavyweights Industries split AC consumes as little as 170 watts when maintaining room temp of 24c even if ambient temps are around 35c outside.
Waste of time & money! The technology has been in the market & many brands available for more than 3 plus decades. Even it oscillates still never come close to conventional air-con unit.
