I was surprised to learn that actress Drew Barrymore has a line of Walmart kitchen appliances. This is a review of the Beautiful Kitchenware 2-Slice Toaster with Touch-Activated Display, model TA1741-UL in Oyster Grey.

Only issue I found was the loud beeping I can not seem to turn off. Not ideal for late night or early morning toasts when others are sleep close to the kitchen

Dec 2022. I was gifted the 'Beautiful' toaster/kettle but I am not happy that they are digital. It stays lit and flashing all the time which draws energy. The kettle has to be physically turned off or it continues to reboil the water. I'd prefer a keep warm/reboil setting I have to choose to select instead. I think simple appliances are underrated. The toaster does cook slightly unevenly like my old one. While the colours are nice these appliances will cost you more in everyday use.

Our old Cuisinart just died, so I invested in the new Beautiful toaster in white. Hope it lasts for a while. The Cuisinart lasted about 4 years I think.

Anyone know how to turn off the blinking B without unplugging it? If you like your bagel crispy like me just use the toast setting for bagels.

I can’t seem to get the settings right. It burns everything haha. Luckily I like burnt pop tarts and toast.

Is it ok with pop tarts? Instructions are not to toast pastries with filling

Does it toast both sides of the bagel or just the “cut” side?

I think just the cut side... Unfortunately I have started a "no-bread" diet for 2023, but here's what I observed starting it empty: In bagel mode setting 2 only the inner elements glow orange, and the outer elements do not glow at all. In regular mode, both outer and inner elements are glowing orange. There is also an indication stamped on the top that looks like a hamburger bun which is telling you to insert the cut sides of the bagel facing in... Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting!

Is it possible to turn the volume down on the beeping?

Not that I know of... the only thing I can think of to try if you are technically inclined is to take it apart and put tape over the beeper, although that would probably void the warranty. Thanks for watching!
