Great review, even though I don’t have one I think the Weber 26in kettle with a slow n sear is hands down the best deal out there. I personally have a pk360 and love it.
Hi Paul. I couldn't pull the trigger on the Kettle Joe at full blown retail of $499 USD, but, when I saw it at Walmart for $324 with free shipping, it was a deal I was happy to jump all over. I will be installing the lid gaskets to improve performance. Thanks for the video and your unbiased opinion.
Wow it was definitely over priced but it appears that the prices have come down in fact I just saw it at Lowes marked $199 not sure if that was a mistake but I might go back tomorrow and get it.

Thanks for the honesty Paul. Always thought they were overpriced. My Weber has never failed me once. It doesn’t get used as much as it should the last couple years since I got my Pitboss.

If they were the same price I’d go either way, that being said I’d still give the Weber a bit of advantage as it’s easier to keep a consistent temp I find. On the other hand the Kettle Joe can utilize the whole cooking grate with the slo roller on it. If being held to buy one I’d go Weber but that’s just my preference
Great 2 month evaluation of the kettle Joe. Looks like you could get a 22” WSM and a standard 22” Weber kettle for less than the kettle Joe and pretty much do any type of smoking or grilling with those 2 units.
Hey Walter, sorry you got taken on your pellet grill purchase. I don’t recommend the higher priced grills just cause the name on it. There are lots of cheaper comparable grills out there if everyone was to be honest with reviews and not just looking to make money off whoever they can sucker in to buy
Don't know what you paid for your Traeger but I have a Lil' Tex Elite since 2012 and love it. Had to replace the induction fan a couple of weeks ago but that is the only thing so far. I winter down in the Texas RGV and plan to buy another one for use down there. I hear Pit Boss are good but I just have no experience with them.
This was gifted to me for Christmas and I have been reuctent to set it up. The 2 big negatives I I see from your review, price and leaks. I don't mind modding to try fix leaking air, and since it was a gift, would you give it a try?
Great review, I had watched a couple of reviews but like you said the price tag seemed really steep for what it was and I was suspicious. Finally bought my first kettle, master touch, this year and really liked it. I'm on the fence to get the All-in-One from BBQ Quebec, it's a pizza oven / rotisserie ring / spacer for smoking.

Hi Paul, I know this is a bit old now, but the price of the Kettle Joe's have come down quite a bit. They can be regularly purchased for around $400 in the US, which is $100 cheaper than the Weber Kettle Performer. Now that the Kettle Joe is cheaper than the Performer, would you still pick the Performer over the Joe?
Hey Eric, me personally I’d still pick the Weber Performer over the Kettle Joe as you’d be getting a prep table with the cart it also come with the GBS grate and charcoal baskets you can do a lot more with those then you could do with the Kettle Joe. At the end of the day it’s your money you’ll be paying with and you’re gonna want what is gonna work best for you and your budget. Hope this is helpful to you.
Hey Andrew, if you can get a Kettle Joe for $100 I’d definitely grab it as you can’t beat a deal like that. Either way you can’t go wrong with a Weber if you decide to go that route.
