Thanks a lot!!! This video is so useful for me! Actually I m thinking about hamax outback and Thule chariot cab 2, but seems like cab 2 doesn't have my favorite color green-yellow anymore, and this week hamax outback has a pretty good discount which costs only 6000 sek about 609 usd. Perfect!

Great video! We have the outback as well and we're super pleased with it. Works well for jogging and strolling, but it's also really good for cross country skiing where it's nice and stable. Despite the weight, I find that the size of the wheels and the wheel on jogging conversion kit makes it feel lighter than it is, since it's able to roll over bumps and uneven terrain with ease.

Hey Christoffer, I'm glad to hear you're getting around well with the Outback. Did you get the jogger conversion kit, or do you just jog with the stroller? I find it's fine to just jog without the converter, but I don't run very far or fast usually.

What about the Burley D'lite X? It looks great. Have you tested it? It's cheaper than most Thules and seem easier to use.

Hey, can you possibly show me the absolute lowest height at which the handlebar can be used? I have dwarfism and can't find anything that gets low enough. The Hamax might be an unusual solution to my stroller problem... also, I'm a keen cyclist so a bike trailer is perfect!

I bought it half price. Will do a first ride today but it looks very sturdy and a bit heavy but safe. Schwinn I like as well but in Europe its quite expensive and Hamax was actually cheaper for me.

Great videos man really helpful I was considering getting the hamax outback Single child stroller that comes in at 37lb and only 799$ on Amazon I really wanted the thule chariot lite but it’s on back order I can’t find it anywhere and I don’t wanna wait till late September my question is would you wait 2 months for the chariot or purchase the hamax

Ooooh, that's a tough one. You could flip a coin honestly, they're both great. Personally, after using both the Cross and the Outback, I would go with the Outback even if it is a little heavier. The wheels are so good and it just is more comfortable for the kids. Looks cooler too ;)

Have you tried using something like a bakfiets? I've been considering a Workcycle FR8. I liked the idea of being 'closer' to my kid, rather than them being 'out-back', Being able to have a conversation with them while we're out, seeing the same stuff, etc. Plus the weight of the the trailer. These are the main reasons I've been struggling with the idea of getting a trailer as opposed to a dedicated family bike. What are your thoughts?

Hi. Does the Hamax Outback co es with the necessary adapters or couplers etc for 12x148mm thru-axle on a bike?

Yes! The hole in the coupler system will fit a 12mm thru-axle. Of course, every bike is different because of the frame, but you can try it and see if it fits. There's a very good chance it will. Sorry for the late response...

You are awesome dude. I’m going to splurge and get this one. I kinda like the Thule with double seats but this one looks super duper cool and it’s well made. Thank you your Chanel is necessary to us parents 👍🏿 and funny thing is I don’t even know how to ride a bike but I will use everyday as a stroller until I learn how to ride a bike.

I'd say the Hamax Outback is best overall. The reason would be because the tires have some pretty good tread on them. If you want a cheaper option, I'd go for the Burley Bee. It's only around $300 and has really solid wheels.

I bought this trailer but it seems the back of my seats in the middle have a hole in the back I wondered does yours also have a hole in the middle of both seats at the back where storage is?

I don't have a hole that I can point out. Does it bother your child's experience? I wonder if it's good to contact Hamax about it.

Any idea how this differs from the Hamax traveller twin? Asking as the traveler seems significantly cheaper

Pretty similar actually! It comes down to quality materials, weight, and jogger conversion. The Traveller does not have jogger conversion (I believe), is lighter in weight, and the seats are not as comfortable as the Outback.

I cannot for the life of me get this thing close. I’ve been pulling on the lips with all my strength and I pulled back the cover and I see that the mechanism is open so it should fold but it won’t. So frustrating

Hey Robert, if you're doing a lot of running with the trailer, I'd recommend either the Hamax Outback (the one in this video), or the Thule Chariot Cross. You can do light jogging with those, but if you're running fast, you should get the jogger conversion, which is available here: amzn.to/3emFYf8

Hey Benjy, great video, thanks! I've watched a few of yours before ultimately buying the outback. We've been using it for a while now on longer trips where napping happens ☺️. Have you ever thought of walkie talkies or some sort of intercom between yourself, potentially a second rider and the trailer? I've been trying to find something online, but didn't come up with much. I was hoping for a setup with 2 earpiece (adults) + 1 loudspeaker (trailer).. Maybe you've thought about this already, would love to get your opinion!

Have owned the Outback now for 14 months. Zipper is not great. In fact, zipper is shot. Unit came with a plastic foil and a mesh, and three slider bodies for the zippers (two on one, one on the other). Successively, each slider body lost its ability to seal the zipper on the plastic foil. Renders the thing pretty much useless in the rain, be it as bike trailer or stroller or for jogging. I assume if I get replacement slider bodies, I will be able to seal it. Disappointing as otherwise I really liked this product.

There are a lot of people complaining about issues with the zippers after ~1 year of use. What is your experience so far? Do they feel durable?

Zippers are durable for sure, but there is always a chance of it breaking. I would actually shoot for the Schwinn Joyrider personally. No zipper, just a really handy cage-like canopy.
