My main take away from her QNA video is She likely - Doesn't know how to tell a good story - Doesn't know how to write flawed characters - Won't know how to establish character dynamics and write around those - Will write herself to be a Mary Sue Girl Boss - Doesn't know how to write character motives - Doesn't know how to design villains and establish THEIR motives - Is shamelessly ripping off Modoka Magica and is still directly and indirectly spoiling it more for me (I'M STILL UPSET ABOUT THAT BY THE WAY!) - Also keeps shamelessly copying ideas and character designs from Mr. Enter - Will write Mr. Enter into the story somehow JUST to be petty about her firing - Still doesn't know how to manage her workers if the editing is the main financial need for this show - Might just take her "Miscellaneous Funds" and spend them on materialistic items like going to conventions and stuff and not pay a musician - Has double standards for bringing up the Across the Spider-Verse production team when she's clearly no better of managing her video productions, let alone an "animated series" - Is very consistent with her words and might not write characters or stories consistently - Won't succeed in this show at all - Just needs to quit Like I sad before, this is just sad, if a crowd funding didn't work for Mr. Enter, it ain't gonna work for Rebeccah because this whole show screams unoriginality. Regardless of her excuses that originality is hard to pull off these days With that said, I have 0 hope for her, and I will just point and laugh when the project goes south
A few things I took away from the video and recent developments, to sum it up, she is gonna base the episodes on her experience, and pull a lot of stuff from Madoka Magica, a show she happens to really really love

The fact that Rebecca tried to claim that moving JPEG stills counts as animation is the stupidest thing I've heard. Animation requires the proportions of a human body or the convey effects to move. You can't get away with just having the stills move. Also the stills changing doesn't count as animation either, because they just swap between frames.
The kicker about her whole tangent about originality and her show not being based on and original IP is that the cat she has is just a recolor of Kyubey from Madoka Magica. Granted I think they’re meant to be the same creature, but if you’re gonna say you’re “heavily inspired by Madoka” while also saying it’s not based on any IP, it’s gonna raise eyebrows.

If anything, it could lead to a snowball effect, as other characters/aspects may be called into question, as in there could be plenty other characters that were 'inspired' by others. Also, I figured that cat's design was borrowed from somewhere, I just didn't know what show it came from, good eye.
I’m not too versed in Madoka to know exactly what was lifted directly from it (Saw a few episodes once years ago). I’m assuming more stuff was stolen from it but you’d need a hardcore fan to verify that. I will say her recent obsession with the show and the elements of it she’s throwing in should be put into question
Didn’t even realize it, but it makes sense. If possible can you provide clips from Madoka’s Homuras plot? I may make another video comparing the Q&A and Madoka. The fact Rebeccah has a cat resemble another character is another smoking gun

It's also less like she plagiarized the story and more like she looked at it, decided that she didn't like the tragic parts and decided to make it "wholesome" and that the ship actually "sails".
I am laughing my ass off at those terrible character designs lol! It's like if Chris Chan ran Dingo Pictures in a day care. I wouldn't make fun of them if this was a simple passion project or something. But keep in mind Rebeccah expects people to pay THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for something that she has been doing for years with little to no improvement! I highly doubt this is a passion project no matter what she says about this being 10 years in the making, like... 😂 No! No it isn't! You watch this one anime spoil it, and decide "I'm gonna make a show like THAT just because I really really wanna!" She's passionate about said anime I'll give her that but ya know what a passion project actually looks like? Having a story in mind with enough heart behind it, years worth of concepts like characters and world building ideas being tossed around left and right and enough of both to really know what you're doing (Trust me, I've spent almost 6 years coming up with my own) But Rebeccah has proven time and time again that she isn't the brightest bulb and this whole campaign can just be boiled down to her just wanting free money if her "Miscellaneous" profits are anything to go by. I’m debating rewriting and redesigning these characters and stories since it’s just “Madoka Magica but PG 13”. She doesn’t give anything for us to really know the characters past their purposes in the story, “She’s the leader” yes, then what? Is this character going to be important or just a road for exposition? Mami (the original character this bootleg is based off of) was more than a leader, she was an example of what becoming a magical girl in the world of Madoka Magica entails. It’s infuriating for Rebecca to go off about “originality” when these characters are about as original as a blade of grass.
1. She should have explained the Premise and the Characters Personality in her Trailer. That Way she wouldn´t have had to make a second Video 2. Like I said before, I´m pretty sure now that the brown haired Character is based on Sally Dunn from Growiing Around. Not just because of the Hair, also because of her Attitude She seems to confuse Animations with Slide Shows. Honestly, I don´t think she is scamming anyone. I think she is just that incompetent

I think a big giveaway for me was not just the hair, but the head-structure; it kinda reminds me of how Enter draws his characters. But the fact she is established to have a quirky personality like Sally, and Rebeccah's penchant to copy other stuff, it was worth a comparison. Not to mention, I'm learning now that Rebeccah may've copied a character design from Magical Madoka (Kyubey). In the video she claims slideshows constitute as animation as long as there's movement. Incompetence sounds about right.
About the spoilers part, I feel very off with spoiling the project that has little content because I don’t have any interest if the protag survives without briefly explaining the stakes, but I would be fine if this was like the first episode or main premise. Protag hides her identity. Side girl makes a sacrifice for her love. The villain breaks the team apart. Also, those descriptions should have belonged in the CHARATER section so that they wouldn’t seem one-dimensional. For the cyborg girl, I would say that she got into an accident and struggles with her new body, so she acts rebellious to mask her insecurities. The villainess would not be revealed to be the villain, but some of her character traits such as doing dirty work, being brash, and hard can make viewers speculate her true motives. Those sections just make the video feel so scattered and difficult to follow. I would at least categorize the questions into cast, worldbulidng, story, etc. Finally, I can’t even take spoilers seriously cuz it’s like: “This girl wishes that she and her crush would become immortal despite her wish’s terrible implications. The pictures: Girls posing and smiling for long periods of time In fact, the entire video is just PNGs posing like they are in Project X Zone or something, it at least that game has dialog, voice acting, a cohesive plot (though not the best), and animation.
At worst it sounds like a desperate attempt to gain interest, never reveal too much all at once. Unless it's just revealing the framework with which the motivations and what have you can be established. Agreed. With the way she describes most of the characters there, only to go into more detail in the spoilers can really throw people off. And those do sound like more interesting traits. That makes sense, especially for a project that's essentially in a vacuum. Yeah, honestly she should've spent more time commissioning other assets, or just avoiding instances where there needed to be variance. And yet somehow Witches carries a 25k price tag.

Ok first, off she wants to have 500 videos on her channel and that she has 250 videos and this is a problem she has deleted a couple of other videos such as the adressing my abuse the my little pony G4 spin off and many others im not saying you should have more reviews im saying make both 2 parts of videos on your channel not just reviews but also something in the second part like vlogs cooking ect don't dedicate your channel as a review channel like channel awesome is yeah i know they have fan fiction videos but there not as out as they are now. Rebbechah please have a second catagory or end up like watch mojo with there top 10 videos like your never ending reviews.
side note i didn't bring this up so here i go, i forgot to say about how the "leader" aspect is completely different in other stories like how in sml junior is the leader of his friend group joeseph and cody you can say its none canon but i think its canon. but yeah overall its mostly women and not alot of guys but i know the story of the nature is girls but i don't know if rebbecah is into woke but im gonna say she is.

rebeccah literally has 25 times the amount of subs channeleven has. this is still punching up, even if the bar isn't very high. also, like entity mentioned, smaller creators are not above criticism, and this is criticism of a project by a smaller creator that relies on people donating their own money to it of their own accord.
