Reviewing YOUR Favorite Persona Arcana 

I relate to the sun arcana the most. I was diagnosed with Parkinson at the age of 5. At 17, I started having seizures. Shortly after, I found out that Parkinson is a slow painful death. Despite this, I don't let this hold me down. Can't believe I've been on this journey for 22 years.

I was very emotional when hearing about the hermit one that talks about autism. As an autistic person myself I can heavily relate to this kind of stuff. I had zero friends growing up and I was bullied for being the “weird kid”. When I reached high school I decided to join a club. It was there I made a small friend group with a couple people and I’ve been happy ever since. I always pondered to myself “Why I got into the Persona series?” Maybe it’s because I wanted to see what social interaction was like. I introduced Persona to my friend group and they liked it as well. Anyways thank for listening to my story.

The one about the autism. I almost cried. I have autism too. I would also be made fun of for being different. I met a couple of friends. They understood me. And I couldnt be happier if you see this you are more than welcome to talk to me. Just wanted to put it out there. Also persona helped alot in my life. I made friends who like it. One gets annoyed with my references. Its all good tho.

The Empress Arcana is absolutely the one I've felt the most relation to. Seeing characters like Mitsuru and Haru, both being mature but still, lost in the world and held back by some outer force, trying to find their own goal, and the resolve to work towards it. And while I wasn't the same kind of 'sheltered', more of, just hiding and relying. The haha funny of Mitsuru not knowing how to eat a burger and stuff like that, Having only fealt like my life really started this year, making it on my own, I end up in situations where I feel proud just, being able to do things normal people do like that. Plus Haru being a garden gal that wants to open a cafe was nice just cause, yeah me too.

I always liked the Fortune Arcana. Jun, despite not being a social link, lived most of his life a lie, and had to deal with being the Joker for the rest of the game. Keisuke whole social link was about finding what to do with his life and Naoto tries to track down the "Phantom Thief" until she finds out why there was a Phantom Thief. I just liked the questions about life they ask, like how I just randomly question my life.

Time to talk about 2 moon characters that no one mentioned, Maya is a fucking amazing character and protagonist. Her journey in IS and EP is really sad but despite that she always manages to be very cheerful and willing to put herself in harms way to protect the ones she cares about. Shinjiro is one of the best characters in the series despite what his social link does to P3P he is the main catalyst for the character development of most of P3s characters.

Very random fact but Sojiro’s English VA is also in the show Serial Experiments Lain which is from 1997. When I heard the voice & saw it was him i just found it very cool lol

I personally love Ekichi and his association with death, how he dies in a sense when he was fat timid but kind, and being reborn as a strong and arrogant asshat. And then dies again to become a hybrid of the two. Death is especially relevant to people who are trying to change as people especially an awkward teenager like me, not to mention Radamanthus and Hades are some of the best fucking designs in the series

I’m not sure what to say, so I’m gonna just quote Hellsing. *”Suddenly it reeks of hypocrisy…OH, well, if it isn’t the Devil arcana! And what’s this? No wine glass taped to your crotch? Progress!”*

Though I feel most connected to the Moon Arcana, my favorite/most relatable Arcana of the series belongs to Persona 2 Innocent Sin's Sun Arcana: Tatsuya Suou and Eternal Punishment's Justice Arcana: Katsuya Suou. I never played the Persona 2 duology personally but Katsuya's portrayal (from his younger brother's perspective in Innocent Sin) as this hyper-cold perfectionist who consistently fails to understand Tatsuya as a person and a family member reminded me a lot of how my own family have admitted on how they feel about me sometimes. I am a perfectionist, admittedly and I don't really know how to understand others, especially back then. Then came Eternal Punishment where the protagonist role shifted from the silent Sun biker Tatsuya to the cheerful Moon journalist Maya, and both their characters were greatly fleshed out. Katsuya lets his guard down around Maya and it becomes much clearer as to why the perfectionist Detective seemed so emotionally absent in IS!Tatsuya's childhood. Given what his younger brother went through, Tatsuya wasn't the best at allowing himself BE understood preferring instead to live under a loner pretense. Meanwhile it shows just how hard EP!Katsuya tries to make up for lost time. It doesn't justify how cold the older brother was (and by extention, how cold I was), but it does give way to understanding both sides of this estranged relationship the brothers had. Innocent Sin features Shadow Selves, and Tatsuya's hit especially hard with the subject matter of not being able to help hating those who have wronged you and the emptiness that comes in having an utter lack of direction your own life, AND the choosable dialogue options for how you want to respond. Only for Tatsuya's Shadow to mock and deride him for acting like the empty shell that he feels himself to be. In line with this, Katsyua's Shadow is also a bit close - uncomfortablely so - to how familial bonds can also feel like shackles, the pressure to support them can kill whatever aspirations you had for your own life, triggering self regret and resentment toward them to form instead of the love you should be feeling. But it's not like those shackles aren't also necessary to be with someone through thick and thin. In fact depending on your choices, Katsuya can retort by either sincerely apologizing to Tatsuya and Maya or by *shooting his Shadow with his loaded gun and threatening that Reversed Justice bitch to get away from Tatsuya or-fucking-else.* Proving beyond a shadow of a doubt (heh) just how much Katsuya loves his little brother in spite of everything in the past. Those are shackles of compassion. That's what being a family means. With the themes of sacrifice and forgiveness being such a major component in the duology's story, it fits like a glove. Watching the two become more active in the others' lives in spite of their former mutual bitterness was really endearing and gave a message of hope to me. I may not be the best at expressing it (like Innocent Sin's Tatsuya) but I DO love my family and friends with everything that I have, and I'm making up for my regrets as best I can (like Eternal Punishment's Katsuya). Katsuya's personality is also something that I can't help but admire. He's an active Detective in a world where lies and rumors manifest into reality on a daily basis, yet he's still a straight-laced, firm believer in upholding the moral framework that justice provides and will stop at nothing to weed out crime and corruption wherever he finds it, especially when trying to take down the antagonist. He's just a really upstanding guy, and summoning a cat Persona gets him to become a cat person, despite also being allergic to them like me. His back and forth snark with Baofu are top-tier. The brothers realizing that they're both crushing on Maya yet still deciding to support her together instead of fighting over her was as funny as it was adorable. Since no one seems to acknowledge that P2 is a thing, though may have went ALL over the place, I won't be spoiling anything. Please give a shit about Persona 2. I'm begging you. There are let's plays, no-commentary walkthroughs, and emulations too. It's still my top pick for best Persona stories in the series.

I took one recently and found out I associate myself with the hermit arcana fitting as I’m a person in pursuit of knowledge and share the same as my fav Jojo. Also I find myself changing my overall perspectives in pursuit of my knowledge. Edit: I only pursue things I’m interested in and that’s worth my time.

I literally dated Mitsuru, Margaret and Haru, which all are the Empress Arcana, so... Yeah, I'm simping a tarot card.

As a high schooler with autism, the hermit ones always spoke to me, but it was the emperor ones that I hit me the hardest. These big burly guys that all have something they like that would be considered weird for someone like them to enjoy, they all out up masks to hide their insecurities about liking these things. It sort of reminded me of how I used hide my autism and try to live my perfectly average life, however, when they learn to accept the fact that they like these things and that they don’t care what others think about them if they say it, it really hit home to me that my autism, isn’t something to hide. That being normal isn’t all that it’s hyped up to be. After learning that I shouldn’t hide what I really am, I finally made some real friends who understood me. I always felt like no one would really ever understand me because I was different, but these people all did, mostly because they were like me, they all had a disorder that they tried to hide from the outside world, but me being open about mine caused them to open up about their’s, and we were all able to be truthful to each other and understand, because we knew what the other was going though. What I’m getting at is, masks suck (literally and figuratively) and the only way to have real friends is to ditch your mask with them, and if they accept you without any masks, then they’re probably the best friends you could’ve found.

I relate to the Fool arcana. P3 protags death is one of the only deaths, real or fictional, that I've actually cried at. He found his reason for living but it was also worth dying for. I also generally act like Yu Narukami, and some people seem okay with that despite the fact that I have no idea what I'm doing.

I have to say tower mostly for the learning of one self and redeeming one self even in a shitty situation. Mutatsu in particular strikes a cord ever since half of my old friend group doesn't even want to interact with me anymore due to self-destructive actions, and I can personally understand why he's so determined to get you to fuck off and the strength it required for him to actually apologize and attempt to atone for his shitty actions is something I can only respect. The other two aren't as big as monk boi but Shu's understanding that he doesn't need to follow the pressure from his mother and Shinya's story about breaking a slimy and destructive habit/personality trait instilled into him by his upbringing are both good imo (shu is a massive fucking nerd tho) Edit: Just got to the "building the tower" comment and that is exactly what it feels like. Years worth of your life being put into building a tower only for it to fall due to your own pride.

I always found the strength arcana to be really interesting. Though I haven’t played persona 4 yet, the general theme of the strength arcana seems to be about discovering and harnessing one’s potential - or, strength. I’m pretty sure that the real card represents controlled and tempered strength, rather than just raw power. The social links of persona 3 and 5 represent this pretty well. For example, Yuko has infinite potential as a teenager, but doesn’t know what she wants to do with her life. Her social link is about finding her strength and figuring out who’s he wants to be. Caroline and Justine are both 2 parts of an exponentially greater whole. Their social link is about discovering their potential and the truth behind their existence. I always find social links of the strength arcana to resonate most with me, since I grew up fortunate to have lots of opportunities to earn a thriving life for myself, but I’m often lost in what I to do in life and how to get there.

As corny as it might sound, ever since entering high school I’ve honestly felt like a Fool Little be little I’ve been coming out of my shell, leaving behind my timidness and anxiety in an effort to make new friendships and try new things, speaking up for myself and making my own decisions, and finally seeing the positive effects I have on others after being pessimistic for so long. My development isn’t exactly done yet, but I suppose that means I’m still on my journey Other than that, I relate to the Magician somewhat, as I’ve always been that sidekick/close friend who always cheers on someone else, and I developed with their help

What if, in the fake persona game I'm making... Mothman is the Moon Arcana Social Link? And he's a TEAMMATE!

The Sun has consistently been an arcana I end up drawn to and completing by the end of my first playthrough. In P5, the genuine kindness, concern, and committed action of Toranosuke really drew me to him, and hearing his speech made me actually feel like I could put my trust in a politician to have the best interests of the next generation at heart. Then, in P3, I don't think I need to explain how much I loved the Dying Man. When he said I wouldn't understand him because my Academics was too low I thought "Oh, what a snob!" and then found out he was dying and immediately ate my words. Last but not least was the drama club member in P4. Almost romanced her, I love acting and she clearly has a passion for it, I empathize with the use of something you love to just escape the pressures of reality, and seeing her slowly but surely warm up to her dad and use this experience to grow as a person and artist was truly inspiring. I was so sad to see her as I left that station in Inaba because I knew I wouldn't see her again. The Sun has a theme of compassion, connections, and attempting to understand and sympathize with those who share a different worldview. It shows people overcoming being their own worst enemy, be it despair of the connections you wish you had, the failures of your past, or the bleakness of your future, the Sun arcana learns to press on, doing the right thing no matter what threatens to hold you down! The Sun arcanas are about learning to keep making others happy, even when you are your own worst enemy.

I relate to the chariot arcana, because I always get back up and never give up, just like all the chariot arcana characters, especially the track team and Kazushi, who won't give up track to help his brother out, even if he has a screwed up leg

I've always found the Devil Arcana super interesting. Getting with somebody with Devil has always been a process which gives each character a sort of mystery. Reiji requires an entire hidden sidequest to even obtain, Tanaka is the longest Social Link to begin and Ohya requires to protagonist to break the law to even interact with. I also really like Magician because they're always bros.

honestly i've always related to the sun and moon arcanas, particularly the sun arcana characters of the sun arcana always try to remain optimistic even if things aren't going their way, which resonates a lot with me, such as akinari having to deal with his terminal illness, ayane missing out on huge opportunities because of her selfless nature (i relate to this one the most), and toranosuke dealing with his bad reputation. going on with ayane, i relate to her a ton and it made me feel really glad to see her grow more confident in herself and, as she said, become more selfish also she's just really cute

I saw Yukino in the thumbnail, I clicked. My favourite is probably either Emperor or Sun, for the reasons others have said. To add to the sun one, I also really appreciate how in P2, Tatsuya's development sorta ties in to his arcana. It's something I found relatable, and reassuring at the same time as someone who is unsure about the future.

I really relate to the Sun arcana in terms of themes (trying to make the most of a bad situation) and I really love characters from the Lovers and Emperor arcana (Yukari and Akihiko being my favourite characters in the series).

I think a really cool video idea would be taking characters from other games and deciding what arcana they'd be (DMC maybe?) Just an idea that I thought I'd put here, I think it'd be really cool

The Tower I don't know why but long time ago I decided that of all the Arcana in the game The Tower would be the one to represent me, maybe because even back then I was aware of myself enough that I knew my journey trough life would be hard and difficult, mostly because I myself caused it, causing my own Doom, but I need to go trough it and go beyond. The Social links have been a mix but the P3 and P5 ones are pretty good, the sage dude was fun as an old man that smoked and drank with a teen but the backstory he had was kinda sad. Then Oda was one of the best in P5, Oda was a fun character being a gamer and all but his situation with her mom made me think about my own relationship with my mom, it wasn't as bad but it made me think.

I am the Hermit. For years now, i've lived a very solitary life due to illness; and its something i'm comfortable with... most of the time.

People seem to forget that Ryuji was just as much to blame for Morgana leaving in the Okumura arc as Morgana himself was.

oh boy, the fox, that would be me, if you ignore the most obvious thing of the fox being an animal you can see her story a lot more clearly if you imagine her as an old priest lady, managing a small temple and wanting to help strangers that dont even know she exist simply because she wants the world to be better. God knows that I spend a lot of time trying to help other people to ignore my own problems, helping strangers is a lot easier and a lot more satisfying than working on oneself since that process is a lot more painful and shameful to confront

15:20 the - as I call them - alternate arcana I believe started with Persona 3 via the Aeon Arcana, though I believe Aeon is actually recognized in some decks. Persona 4 also added Jester (alternate Fool) and Hunger (alternate Devil). However with Persona 5, they completely ditch Aeon and introduce Faith (alternate Star) and Councilor (alternate Magician). I'm personally not the most keen on alternate arcana, but I don't really care as long as they keep it reasonable. I haven't seen much of P5 Strikers, so I can't speak much to that game atm.

Ryoji's definitely my favorite social link, and Akinari is close second. I think it's probably because how it fits so well into the story itself that if you were to romance him, it fits into the story perfectly. Like death falling in love with a maiden. it's all just accepting your death and who you are, living the best life you possibly can. Accepting his fate, as he can't control it himself. other than that, the hermit arcana is a major yes, because people are just difficult to deal with. its why I love character/story based games.

You know, I think I relate to the Fool and its themes of varying situations, posibilities and connections, yet also being kindof a blank slate, all encomposing a journey, as well as its aspect of being eighter a Wildcard or a zero. I get told that I'm good at making friends but that I also have to open up more myself. And also from stuff like changing schools quite often at one point, I'm very familiar with starting from the ground up and ending up making a group of friends that at one point or another I had to say goodbye to, yet our friendships still persist. I believe I've been trough a lot and at the same time there's still a lot I've yet to see. I've also realized I just relate to a lot of other Arcana to just be one, yet because of that I have tought I just don't have a personality, and that might be partially true, but I also just relate different aspects of myself to others a lot to try and understand them. I also really like the kindof shapeshifter themes a lot of Fool Personas usually have, and just shapeshifters in general, as I think the Fool's themes could apply very well to a character capable of changing their form, it could be used as literally varying possibilities as well as possibly acting like different aspects of themselves, not to mention acting like a "Wild Card", and they're just fucking cool as a concept, and this includes the Wild Card ability the protags have, it works symbolicly for who they are and it's just a cool ability. Tough if I had to choose another one, the next one I relate to the most is The Fortune and its idea of taking control of your fate, also Naoto is amazing. But really, I still feel like I need to mention some others that are up there too, Hanged Man's theme of dealing with something that's tying you back, Tower's theme of coming back better from a slap by reality, (and their P4 SLs that are underrated af) Justice's formation of one's own morality, Sun's search for positivity, Star's journey of self discovery or Magician's message about hidden potential, I love them all

The Magician Arcana is definitely my favorite. While I don't really have any attachment to Kenji, Morgana and Yosuke are some of my favorite characters in the series, Yosuke *actually* being my favorite. I heavily relate with Yosuke's struggle with loneliness that stems from boredom, as at some point I just started wallowing away by myself for hours at a time. As for Morgana, he's a fucking dumbass so I can relate to that.

I find it hard to box myself into just a single arcana. I see traits of chariot, sun, hermit, priestess and star in decreasing degree in myself. (Chariot most, star least) And i think that's cuz tarot is just a way of explaining your path in life. When it comes to fav link its obviously hierophant. Those never miss and are reminders that life always throws you curveballs, so you gotta adapt. When it comes to what arcana im attracted to most its between lovers and priestess. I love the overly girly, cute type while admiring the shy genius.

I love the emperor arcana the mostly for Kanji and Akihiko. I just Simp hard for them. Also Kanji struggling with what he should or shouldn’t love is something I find very relatable. As for Akihiko I just find him to be The cutest Himbo out there

Oddly enough, I feel the most connected to Judgement. I personally think I have a pretty good grasp on how everything around me is. I understand it pretty easily, or at least know how to figure it out without much trouble. But I still have a lot of work to do in actually attaining the stuff I really want. I have the means of getting it, but I still need to actually get it. I also can relate with Sae in general and how she wants to help both people in general as a prosecutor, but also to help her sibling as a, Y'know, older sibling.

I think if I had an arcana, I'd be Moon for what it means to be of that arcana. Mainly it's illusion, creativity and fear aspects. (I don't relate a lot to the characters but I have very minor tiny reasons to relate to Ai Ebihara from what I know of her. I don't know much beyond the persona wiki and a couple videos I've seen) But my absolute favourite has to be Empress as Mitsuru and Haru have my heart and are holding it hostage. Mitsuru is quite honestly one of my favourite characters to draw and is the reason I'm considering dying my hair dark red. Haru has a lot of things to her that I relate to (some how her dad is a little similar to mine in ways and I stopped talking to him ages ago) and I nearly made an attempt on a craft project to recreate her sweater because that looks fucking comfy as hell. As a bonus, I actually really like Margaret's design. I think she looks the best out of the velvet attendants (but Elizabeth is the best due to the hilarity and depth of her story)

I’ve always find myself relating to the magician. Magician characters like Junpei, Morgana and Yosuke (I’m assuming because I haven’t played persona 4 yet) are the friendly, loyal, and goofy best friends, a role that I think I fit quite well. I’m a pretty friendly guy and I enjoy being the jokester of the group, but I tend to use humor to hide my insecurities. When it comes to picking a girl to date I’ll usually go with the Empress, I’m always drawn in by their elegance and motherly natures, especially Haru who just makes my heart melt

Justice and Lovers are my favorite arcana. Ken, Nanako, and Akechi were all such layered characters that made you want to dig more into their scenarios. As for lovers, they always ended up being the girls I romanced and always felt like a windstorm of their own in a good way. That said, I think my favorite was P4's Hangman(Naoki). I'm a sucker for sibling bonds so seeing him grieve his sisters loss really made it feel real.

My favorites are a tie between Magician, Hermit and Counselor, if that last one even counts. Ive only really played P5R, but I know what the other games are and who the characters are. Watching Morgana grow as a person was really nice to see even though I dont really relate to him at all. Futaba is my freaking spirit animal though. I've lived in 9 or 10 different houses in four different states and that has caused my social life to die out, and it doesnt help that everyone seems to think Im weird because I am autistic. I would act the same if I became a shut in honestly. I also kind of see myself in Maruki, but its complicated lol. I love his confidant arc and how it makes you think, and thats on top of the * other * story things that happen.

I took a quiz and I got The Moon, and as someone who actually likes Ai and Mishima from the bottom of my heart, it's pretty accurate. They both go through that phase of hating yourself and fearing showing your "true self" to the world. Besides The Moon I really really adore Yosuke and relate to him, the other Magicians not so much, but Yosuke being bored and not content with his life, thinking of himself as a pathetic loser, it's way too relatable to me to the point I can't experience his social link without feeling way too sad.

just for let you know people have actually 15 arcanas (for the tarot creators that number was important ) , your first 5 are the more noticiable , the medium ones are visible if people know you and the last 5 are the ones that represent your opossite . in my case my strong ones are death, tower,priestess,hanged man and hermit and ironically identify alot with those characters

There’s something to learn from every Arcana, so for that reason I gotta go with Fool (specifically Joker because he’s literally me frfr). However, I really identify with Makoto and Haru’s journeys of having expectations kinda being put on you while trying to determine what you really want from your future. So for me, combine Joker’s calm/go with the flow vibe with Makoto and Haru’s desire to find their own future and that’s literally me for real for real.

Just about everyone I follow says they miss the internet from 10-15 years ago. Almost feel a bit bad cuz I definitely wasn't as present on it back then.

We all know that chariot and magician dudes are the best clowns.

To me its more a combination of the fool and the hermit. I never realy got to develop a real personality and therefor i tend to allways "adopt and mimic" other peoples personality (the way they talk, move, handle things) which works similarly to the protagonists wild card ability. The Hermit part would be that I have a strong sense of self reflexion and analysing things to the detail, for example i keep analysing metaphysics, how *broken record sound* works, how satan works, demons, angels, monad, archons etc. This analysation also made me "imprison" my emotional side, since it would very often conflict with my rationality and analysis resulted in logic being superior. Also including me never having the chance of making friends and ultimatly developing a phobia towards deep bonds. On the other hand, the combination could be busted in understanding and gaining insight. You can "adopt" another persons (sometimes even entities) personality and analyse it to gain understanding about a person without even meeting or talking to them.

My associations definitely lean towards Hermit and Star. Struggling to speak with new people, or even just being open about my emotions to people I do know well, winds up being rather difficult. As for Star, alot of what Shadow Teddie hits a little close to hope and Teddie's arc means a ton to me.

For me i like the emperor arcana because i can relate to them the most. I try to just put up a front like im go with the flow but really i have immense self control and seem cold and distant like most of the Emperor arcana social links.

Sun will always be my favorite, I've loved them all and the intended meaning resonates with me. Always move forward from your mistakes or your weaknesses, push past them and throw yourself out there. While I am still very shy and have social anxiety, I always try and get past it, I especially resonate p5 Sun for some reason too.

I really liked ryuji’s confidant, when I first played persona 5 I was in a really dark place but after seeing ryuji a character I could relate to it made me get a boost of confidence in a way, also me an ryuji both have a bad leg yet still enjoy running but he doesn’t have blood condition so. I also related a lot with any characters with a messed up past

What I’ve found is that a lot of the characters start off with their arcana reversed (example is the reversed Hermit is unwelcome isolation, which lines up pretty well with Futaba), and as you level up your confidants their arcana flips to its upright position (once again using Futaba, the upright hermit means self-reflection and soul-searching).

I often find myself associating with the death arcana. I guess the reason I think I identify with it is that it represents the loss of some thing only for something to begin. I guess just to make a long story short I lived my life with very little vision and six years ago when I was finishing high school I slowly started to lose it until it eventually was gone. At the time it felt like I was living in a personal hell but overtime I began just changing and right now six years ever since losing it I feel like I’ve gotten so much stronger because of it I have gotten to the point where I feel that I don’t need my eyes to live a good life. TLDR I am a death boy

I guess tower and emperor are the ones I can relate to. I have desire to play piano almost same like yusuke has desire to paint. however I failed a lot in my way. I can also relate with Shu (should I hate myself?). I have to lie to myself and my family that I can easily prepare to exams that coming next year.

I really like Mishima’s character and his confidant. He is the only character in the game that confronted his own shadow by himself (and didn’t get a persona). It also shows how Joker didn’t actually solve Mishima’s problems (like he did in most of other confidants, by changing someone’s heart) he just pushed Mishima to the right direction, so he could change himself.

when i took an arcana test i got jester. i was a little concerned as the only jester is a serial killer but looking more into it i do relate to the meaning of the jester just not the character representing the jester

Although I am a boy, I really relate with the empress arcana because of the weight of expectation and responsibility. Having to inherit something and also forge your own path really rings with me. I have had to deal with the leader of my family dying and kinda having to inherit that role and what comes with it. Though a specific character I relate with is Yosuke , we are very similar personality wise and we both like orange and headphones

I personally fall under the Strength arcana more than the others, I'm just trying to understand myself and I've become able to keep myself together when it matters most.

I’m a weird mix between Hanged Man, Justice, and Priestess. There is some aspect about each that holds me back from being 100% of any of them, but picking and choosing certain bits of each, the bad parts and the good, does lead to something close enough to myself. Or maybe I’m just a blank slate nexus Fool, I don’t know. I kinda feel similar to the people who said Fool in the video, or at least from the little bit that they said. I have one super good friend and a large mix of others from many other places that generally confide in me rather than me confiding in them. I do a lot of activities that others would generally never see one singular person doing all of, but I’m not necessarily connected to or super good at any of them. The reason I hesitate in saying Fool straight off the bat is because I myself am not going to tell you that Joker, Yu, Makoto, or any other protagonist is the best character in their game, because they’re not. They’re not even characters, really, they’re just outlets to project yourself onto. You begin to see my dilemma. Ah well. In terms of the arcana itself, I’m picking jack of all trades master of none Fool, but in terms of characters…Justice, probably.

and about the Hangedman Arcana in P4 particularly.. it is creepy how they chose Naoki as Hangedman, when her sister literally died hanging.. GEEZ ATLUS.. Back when i first played P4 during my childhood, ive never ever do Naoki's Social Link, just because of this fact.. and I've plyaed P4 3-4 playthrough back then, never once.. just a few months back i played P4G PC where i finally do Naoki's Social Link..

For me it’s probably the priestess arcana, which feels weird considering i’m a guy and all of the priestess characters are women but it is what it is. The links tend to just revolve around trying so hard to please others to the point that you never really feel pleased yourself, and that resonates with me a lot.

I find the Hermit arcana as the one I most understand - having come from an abusive household, lost my father in a car crash (both a blessing and a curse, he was the abusive one), and then experienced the isolation of having my mother need to work constantly to support us, while struggling with her own trauma from the abuse, and on some level being afraid of me because I reminded her of my father (I had mismanaged anger issues, my entire upbringing was mismanaged - she even described me once as a "dog about to break its chain"). I was depressed, school life was isolating and I was bullied and mocked, and house life was like a pressure cooker. But I've grown from it and made every effort to become the opposite of what I had feared I'd become. That's why, while I understand the Hermit arcana, and can connect with it, it's not my favorite. My favorite is the Lovers - able to approach life simply (I'm envious of people who go through life in a simple manner, without all the mental barriers and mazes I usually sift through), kind, selfless, and want to give from themselves to others. They are the marked opposite of what my family was and of what I at one point could have become. With the exception perhaps of P3's Yukari, which was not the kind selfless soul the P4 and P5 Lovers were.

I have for some reason always liked the characters that have the emperor Arcana in persona 3-5. What all of them have in common is that they are strong alone and don't rely on anyone else, and they just seem all around well rounded as people. Like they don't care that much what other people think, they are just themselves and find strength from themselves. As a sometimes antisocial person that have for the most part not cared that much about fitting in I guess that relates to me in a way. Akihikio, Kanji and Yusuke...

talking about Eri and Shu, ig it is because people couldnt really relate at times? Shu kinda, if they have "talent" their parents forced them into.. But Eri, relationship between stepmom and stepson.. It's actually relatable.. BUT.. this is mostly the perspective of the mom.. not too mention at first Eri looks like she hates her stepson..

I wish bizarre one-off arcana got more consistent appearances. Jester, Apostle, Hunger, Aeon, Universe, Councillor, Hope, and Faith are all KILLER concepts that were really only utilized for one character each and never brought up again. To be fair, a good many can be folded into corresponding arcana (Jester/Fool, Apostle/Hierophant, Councillor/Magician, Hunger/Strength, Aeon/Judgement, Universe/World), so it's not a total loss.

The arcana is the means by which all is revealed

Don't do online tests to "find your arcana". There's a way to calculate your birth arcana based on your birth date. Do that instead. Also keep in mind that in Persona, the arcana the characters are represent them at a particular moment of life, not exactly who they've always been or will always be. That isn't to say NONE of them always have or will be this way, just that some are in particular ruts unique to that moment that don't necessarily represent their entire or "true" personality.

I like the Justice, Chariot, and Death Arcana for the reasons presented in the video.

according to a bunch of internet quizzes im the death arcana but in terms of which arcana is my favorite it's gotta be fortune (jun is my favorite character in the SERIES, keisuke is my 2nd fav sl in the series, naoto's very relatable)

Most relatable is Jester, although not much info is seen in it it's mostly a comic relief charecter that's hiding something from others

Judgement - Reckoning, wrath, new beginning. Sure in P3 and P4 it's about revealing the truth and finding the path via dungeon crawling mostly (P4 it's so rapid it's hard to even count it), but in P5 it's about having a belief which is initially misplaced and learning that the truth is not so obvious, that if you're going to make a judgement, you must have all sides of the story.
