Quiet nights has been one of my top English blends for a couple of years now. The sweet/sour combo with the Latakia works perfectly with me. Also, I really like the tin art. Fantastic blend when you are looking for an English, but not a heavy hitter. Two thumbs up from me!

Hey Bradley not surprised to see you come back to this blend since it has just recently with another of GL Pease blends, become my new favorites. Chelsea Morning has taken over my early day bowl category and Quiet Nights along with White Knight from Hearth and Home are neck and neck on the back stretch with quiet Nights leading by a half length! I'mjust gradually enjoying English and Balkans more and more, really have almost stopped my aromatics at this point. I trust your reviews from my past experiences, thanks for another good one.

Been stuck on this one ever since I found it a few years ago. The absolute go-to "after dinner" blend for me. Just hits in all the right ways. I don't have a refined pallet but I do notice the sour from the oriental you mentioned. A favorite feature for sure.

About to receive a package of this blend soon to try. Always exciting to explore new blends. Just wanted to say that I appreciate your high quality sound production, your videos sound great. Good enough to listen to as I work. Keep up the great pipe blend content!

Also, in case you aren’t aware, Gawith (Samuel and Hogarth) has quite a few bulk blends available on smoking pipes including squadron leader in 8oz bags. Not a bad time to jar 8 ounces of squadron leader to save for a long time. Another good English blend you have done a review and revisited episode for.

Ive recently come back to smoking again after 10 yrs. The absolute craziest thing to me i suppose is the fact that Penzance is still incredibly hard to get, lol. I had a tin yrs ago it took me what seems like yrs to get.and now after trying again ...Every where is "Sold Out" 😂😂. I dont know why i thought after a decade that Estorica would hire more folks and produce more tobacco. Strange to me😂. None the less i love the Quiet Nights.

Bradley, interesting review! I've been a big fan of Greg Pease since his first, short-lived venture, Friedman and Pease. They had some great blends, which cannot be reproduced for various reasons. Syrian Latakia being chief among them. I have never smoked Quiet Nights, believe it or not. But I'm sure I'd like it. Penzance, I was familiar with when you could get it, sometime in the Grant Administration. While it was certainly good, it just did not compare to Smokers' Haven's Krumble Kake when it was made by Sobranie. J.F. Germain did an admirable job of replicating the proprietary Smokers' Haven imported blends, but none of them were the same. I'll have to give Quiet Nights a try. Great show today!

The great thing about this blend is the availability in bulk and 8oz cans as opposed to Penzance which is more of a unicorn. That's the ideal combination for me, (an excellent tobacco, which is also easy to stock up on). For me that gives a significant chunk of extra points. I have stacks of it piled up along with Nightcap.

Always enjoy these second take videos! You kinda threw me when you said Quiet Nights contained Perique, as I don't care for Perique, and remember loving this blend. I also didn't remember it being a cake. Then I realized that the blend I remember was Gaslight! (A delicious English plug with no Perique.) I also think Gaslight compared very well in my mind with Penzance. Cheers!

Finally since Last week we can have some Blends from C&D and G.L Pease here in Germany and i immediately stocked up on Star Of The East, Haunted Bookshop and Quiet Nights (which i absolutely loved). I have to also say that both G.L Pease and C&D Blends are an absolutely hit here as most shops need to resupply already!

Bradley, Quiet Nights quickly became one of my favorite English blends from first light. I really enjoy the "incense" note from the Oriental and was wondering if you knew which type of Oriental leaf produced this flavor/note? I've tried G.L. Pease's Embarcadero and find that particular Oriental leaf a bit too spicy for my tastes. I have their Cairo and Gaslight in queue for my next order. I'm looking forward to comparing Gaslight to Quiet Nights to see if I still prefer the Oriental forward version over their more standard English blend. Thanks!

It's such a great blend. I've gone through a few tins of this stuff. The one I'm smoking through now has 4 years on it, and even after 4 years, the latakia is still pretty powerful. I do agree with you: I don't find it that comparable to Penzance. To me, Quiet Nights is a bolder blend for sure, especially in the latakia department. Quiet Nights is a mustier blend I think. Penzance is more subdued and has a certain hard to describe quality to it. And the big thing about Penzance to me is that it morphs through the bowl and reaches its peak right at the end. Quiet Nights definitely is a favorite of mine. And Penzance is a "birthday" or "Christmas" blend because I've only got a few ounces of it.

G.L. Pease is my favorite blender. Quiet Nights has long been a staple for me. I am quite fond of Chelsea Morning also.

Just smoked it for the first time. Wow, this is a very gentle and muted smoke, but very interesting all the same. It's softer and sweeter than I expected, and every once in a while you get a little spice from the perique. This is an English blend? I'd never guess it. But I'll definitely be getting another tin.

I stopped smoking Frog Morton back in 2016(when it was available) after I tried this stuff, first English I fell in love with.

To me it is a close enough, readily available sub for Penzance, especially when aged so the lat tones down a bit.

I enjoy quiet nights for those evenings when I want a relaxing smoke, but am tired of nightcap (my daily blend)

Bradley just wondering if you've ever experienced this? I loved my first 2oz tin of Quiet Nights. So I ordered an 8oz can. Lo and behold popped open the new can jarred up 6oz and started on the other 2, it was nowhere near the same T that I had just finished in the original 2oz tin the evening before. Have had the same exact thing occur with SPC original Plumb Pudding. What gives here, thoughts?

Nice revisited, sadly GL Peasy and C&D blends are now impossible to obtain in Spain 😞. Some years it was possible to buy small quantities in bulk or a couple of tins from smokingpipes without the package being stoped by the customs but now even a 25g bulk package will be stoped and the duties can be up to 3 times the price of the T 😢 I was a huge fan of C&D Bayou Morning and Star Of The East

Down the road if you’re ever looking for more options for revisited videos gl Pease “Westminster” would be another good option. You were pretty fond of Westminster in your original review and it’s a nice ribbon cut. I agree with you in that an easy ribbon cut is typically a plus.

This has been my number one English since my first go of it. I'd go further and say when I have a pipe, more often than not I fill the bowl with this.

Where is the easiest place to find Penzance?

Yes I agree it is a great Smoke but I have never tried Penzance but heard a lot about it for a new smoker. I bought 8 oz of Quiet Nights it’s yummy! Like your yo tobacco video’s.👍👍👍

Idk if penzance is still under production but I couldn’t even have it in UK considering it is made by jf germain. The quiet night would be the best english and then i would put second is jf germains king charles.

Yeah- you probably really really liked it because that shits smooth as fucking butter for what it is. Dependable as hell but not an all-day or you’ll have serious shit breath. You the man B.

This was the blend that taught me that I cannot tolerate perique. I love the cut, the flavor, and the character in the bowl. The vomiting always ruined the experience though. 🤢

Horrible swooshy sounds. Really ruin the video. All your videos are audio based, meaning people are listening. These sounds are horrible to hear in-between.
