I’m 21 years old and have recently descended on my cigar and pipe smoking journey, although I’ve always been more partial to pipes rather than cigars (stereotypical grandfather was a pipe smoker kid.). I really hope you muttonchop piper, continue to make videos for your audience. I enjoy your pipe smoking volume catalog as well as these new blend reviews and will be checking out you let’s play content as well. 💯💯💯💯💯In my opinion, Quiet Nights is the greatest English ever blended. Better than Penzance. Smooth is the keyword. Hard to describe, just a must try.

This is the quintessential look of a pipe smoker. I can't believe he's not a spokesperson for a big pipe company with his own line of pipes and tobacco. Love the look of the set with the fire and rocks.

Absolutely hysterical. I have been stuck on getting into pipe smoking for years now. For a few months I'd entertain the idea, and then i would just go back to my daily routine. Off and on, rinse and repeat. Well once again, i have been thinking about pipe smoking and once again, your videos find their way to me. It must be fate😂

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This is one of my top 5 tobaccos! For me, if I can pace myself and smoke it slow, the sweetness really comes through. The note I enjoy most that I get is fruit pastries! If you can smoke slow, i hope that note shines through for you. For reference, the tin I smoke from is about 2 years old. I would highly recommend this blend 🤙

This blend gets a 3/5 from me as well. It’s got an excellent Smokey aroma from all that Latakia in it. I really wish the orientals would come through a little more, then my rating would be a little higher. The tin note is excellent, moisture is almost always perfect, however the room note is not appealing to a lot of people who do not smoke. It’s definitely worth a try for new pipe smokers, if you don’t like it just jar it up and try it again at a later time.

🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 This is my absolute favorite tobacco I've tried yet. The smokiness combined with the Oriental spices are wonderful. I smoked Maltese Falcon and this one has a little less Perique spiciness and a bit more Oriental flavor. Both are excellent but Quiet Nights is my favorite. Just ordered 2 big cans. Btw great backdrop.

I just want to say thank you and that i appreciate what you're doing. Your channel got me started on this adventure, having a good time. I only wish you made this video two months ago 😂. It must be the latakia (maybe fermentation), but when i first had this blend i did not enjoy it as much as i wanted too. However after transferring it to another container and letting it sit for a few weeks it is so smooth and such an enjoyable blend before bed. Lol just getti g to the end of the video, but i already wrote all this. Oh well, great to try more enjoyable after it breathes (?). Good winter blend, good if you like stouts.

❄❄❄Deep, dark, smoky, and a little sour. I don’t hate it, but it’s not really a favorite since I tend to prefer “lighter” tobaccos, similar to the way I prefer light roast coffee. I will enjoy this when I'm in the mood for something like this.

🎖🎖🎖🎖 I did like this blend and the latakia was not excessive for my taste. I don’t think it would be one of my regular few times a week tobacco but certainly will keep it on my 2nd tier shelf for when I’m in a latakia mood.

I love quiet nights but I can really tarnish my palette for days with a metallic taste. Consider also spark Plug for a little more tang

✌️✌️✌️✌️ solid blend! Smokey, spicy, rich, savory, with a hint of floral floating through out the smoke! I would recommend to rub out the flakes a little bit…pack your bowl a little on the loose side, and smoke this blend slow for the best flavor! 5 years of age really brings this blend to life…I highly recommend this blend! 💨💨💨 Smooth Latakia blend that reminds me of Edward G. Robinsons pipe blend but with the burley replaced by perique and orientals. Spiciness on the exhale- I think this would be much better with some age on it. Like Mutton, I too are rating it a 3, but ranks up there as a 3.5.

💪💪💪I like it it gets better with age had some 3 years aged not a lat bomb but heavy on Latakia it's definitely worth trying if you don't like it put it in a mason jar and give it a year it gets better with age

😃😃😃1/2 for sure I completely agree I’m smoking some from 2017 the Latakia flavor is amazing definitely the boss in this blend but the pepper and the sour pops make this blend for me a excellent slow smoking experience. Chris is right about the coffee as well it pairs well and enhances the experience! I would not recommend this blend to a new smoker though it needs a seasoned pallet to really get the most from it age age age this blend for sure fresh is a little rough aging definitely softens the Latakia it becomes creamier

Quiet Nights is my favorite blend. But oddly enough I rarely smoke it because I am letting it sit and age a bit. Also I have many other blends I’ve been trying. Quiet Nights in the evening and Chelsea Morning in the Morning.

😊😊😊Newish pipe smoker here. At first, I did not like it., too much latakia for me. But I stuck with it and started to enjoy it. I had to dry it out a bit first because it was too damp. Overall, not too bad.

I mean, it’s like music to my nose and tastebuds! So rich and complex and as a Latakia fan, it’s like tobacco heaven 😊 Cheers!

New to pipe smoking and just tried it for the first time this evening. Only other thing I have ever tried is a GH cherry aromatic. While I enjoyed quiet nights initially I struggled to finish it, just too smokey and leathery. Think this will be one for me to come back to once I'm a bit more seasoned.

🧐🧐🧐 -- I really wanted to like it, but didn't find myself reaching for it throughout the month. Perhaps it's the combination of the Latakia and the Orientals, but to me, this tastes like mesquite. It basically tastes like beef jerky. Maybe I'll come back to it at a later date or maybe it will just sit on the shelf indefinitely. Either way, glad I tried it!

🤗🤗🤗🤗 First blend I truly loved. Reminds me of the incense at Mass. Smoky, contemplative, lovely smoke. I smoke lat-bombs almost exclusively, and Quiet Nights is just that: a calm evening after the bombs have already dropped.

Like the video😀😀😀😀 Good english smoother than Gaslight. Medium nic. My jar was of similar age as yours so the sweet was noticed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tin note: Smoke; Campfire; Grass; Incense Taste: Medium Nicotine: Mild Moisture: Good Tasing Notes: Smoky, musty, and funky Latakia balances well (though on the heavy side) with the Virginias, which give a slight grassy/barnyard flavor. A light floral/incense aroma is detected, due to the Orientals.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Top tier English blend. New pipe smokers beware that if you're new to Latakia this blend may be a little overbearing. But, if you're a seasoned pipe smoker and like English blends and haven't tried it yet give it a go, you'll be glad you did.

🍔🍔🍔 I don't really prefer the smoky latakia, campfire flavor, but the other tobaccos in this blend did give it an interesting flavor.

👍👍👍👍 I really enjoyed this tobacco. I had to ship it to the UK, with the tax I got hit with it actually worked out to be £11 more. So anyone in the UK wanting this £11 more for delivery from the USA Is worth it. Its like nightcap times x10 for me. Superb tobacco and excellent video once again.

🤔🤔🤔🤔/5 - This week I was checking on my jarred baccy and decided to dip into some G.L.Pease Gas Light and Quiet Nights. The Latakia is definitely driving the bus, a good blend for anyone wondering what Latakia is and how it plays with other blends. Although I've only had these two mentioned blends 5-6 years now, I think (and hope), that with some aging they will mature into something that I can reach for weekly. Thanks for the post Muttonchop, I was thinking about your channel earlier this week and what a pleasant surprise this was. Always look forward to your content, thanks again! P.S. I'm tempted to try the little that I have left of some McClellan Backwoods flake. Maybe from your experience, you can recommend some in-production blends similar to this blend 😉. I'm looking for that vinegar sweet ketchupy smoky flavor.

🐼🐼🐼🐼/5 I have come to love is tobacco! First month participating in Blend Club. It was just ok on first smoke, but by the third bowl I was hooked. Just received an 8oz tin. Smoked mainly in a Savinelli Tortuga 673 with a filter (mostly) but not all times. Favorite part is the retrohale

🔥🔥🔥🔥 I actually loved this one. As strong as the tin note is with the latakia. You definitely don't have it that strong in the room note. It's definitely a english I'm allowed to smoke in the house. Lol. A good medium to full smoke. One that will be in my rotation often now.

I've tried so many, but I always come back to Capstan Blue (when I want a Virginia), My Mixture 965 or GL Pease Westminster (If I want an English) And Peterson Sunset Breeze or Cult Blood Red Moon for an aromatic.

🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️… I recently opened a new tin of this and gave it a shot. I wanted to love it but it was just, 🫤 My favorite English blend is Chelsea Morning and I was really hoping it would be a slightly more Latakia forward version of that but I didn’t find it to be all that close. Too much Latakia for my tastes and the only other background I could pick up were the orientals which can be hit or miss with me. I’m going to jar up the tin, set it back and forget about it for a while. Maybe age will change my mind but it won’t make it high on my list regardless.

Do a video on how to break in a new pipe and what is the best tobacco to break one in with please🙏

🔥 🔥 🔥 I agree with your 3 star review. I keep some of this in rotation, but for an every day English, I prefer something a little more balanced. Quiet Nights is very dry, smoky, and earthy. For me it lacks any kind of sweetness to balance it out. Natural sweetness or otherwise. For that reason Maltese Falcon or Boswell Northwoods are perfect for an every day smoke.

I really have to be in the mood for it, which unless I am around a campfire, just does not do much for me. As latakia goes, it's smooth but way too much latakia for me. It's just not my jam.

Like it better than Nightcap. This is for quiet nights, Nightcap is more like a thunder and lightning night.

🙂🙂🙂 I found the blend to be pleasant, but much like Muttnchop the latiakia was overpowering, so much so that I can't really pick out the other components. Having said that though, I found it very mild, maybe this is the other components toning down the latakia? Easy to light, and it stayed lit with minimum effort on my part. Paired well with my morning cup of coffee.

💨💨💨💨/5. Smoky Leather tin note with hints of lemongrass, smooth but complex smoke, rather enjoyable with the same tin note flavors dancing. Great retrohale. Also, I love a lat bomb. Not really a lat bomb, but I do love me some latakia.

The tin aroma smells like a delightful summer sausage! It's a lot like Presbyterian mixture, but a cut above, in my opinion.

Does anyone know why Cult Blood Red Moon has dried up?

🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 My smoke was very spicy and dominated by the Perique from mid-bowl. Before it took over it was a smooth creamy sweet smoky smoke that was quite nice, but I think Gaslight is better as it holds onto the sweetness, and Maltese Falcon is more interesting.

By chance, during your conversation with Mr. Pease, did you happen to ask what his favorite blend is?

😢 moisture was good., and it packed and lit easily. The only thing I can taste is the Latakia which, to me, is burnt rubber and creosote. Very unpleasant and borderline noxious. I keep trying to give english blends a chance and keep getting disappointed. I have found a few aromatic english blends that are pleasing to me though. If I could make a suggestion, could the next months blend be put into the description please. Take care and happy piping
