Leather Honey is an excellent conditioner for dark brown and black leathers. It will darken leather a little bit. Bick 4 and Saddlemore are both excellent leather conditioners
We can agree on that as boot polish has some similar ingredients in. But if it’s me , I would do the saddle soap as first step, then do polish. It would turn out beautiful
Thank you for instructive video. Just a comment, due to how the video is framed (for Waypoint segment) and the speeded up video with quick cuts (Wild Bill segment) it's a little hard to understand the use of the sponge (which BTW is not mentioned in the text).

@@chicsparrowofficial I understand everything you just said. My point is that saddle soap is simply the cleaner used on all those things. Soaps do remove some oils from leather and AFTER using saddle soap to clean you follow up with a leather conditioner is all. Some conditioners also help protect leather from water. Products like Leather Honey, Bick 4, and Saddle butter work miracles on making leather soft and pliable. Good video btw.
@@richlopez5896 Thanks, Rich; leather care is super important for longevity as well as the overall tactile experience. There are hundreds of products out there to use, and while Saddle soap is one I've used since childhood, there are many others I have in rotation, and I would recommend others find products they love for the care of their leather goods.
This was very helpful. With the new B5 options available I am sharing my home with more beautiful leathers to nurture. Does the saddle soap work well with Meteorite? I am also going to look through your videos for leather balm suggestions...I live in a dry climate and I don't want the leather to crack or disintegrate in any way 😎
I a crème Huckleberry pocket size TN and its filthy! Well loved and used. Patina is one thing - dirty is unacceptable! 😂 I’d like to clean it before I condition it. Any recommendations?
