I have said it before and say it again Hygger are banging out some good products and your assessment of the usual air stones is spot on Chris especially if used outside in a pond. This Hygger model is certainly oxygenating the water with some force and given that it is made from acrylic is a bonus. This looks like a game changer especially the larger model 3.1" and interesting to see how it looks/operates in your pond over the cold Canadian winter. If it works there, it will work anywhere!. It's going to be great in the pond. Also in to keep holes open in the ice and definitely for deep aquariums That fine air bubble mist is just so much better than those loud bubbles that just take away from the aquariums

Really like the design and low maintenance and the biggest factor is it can be hidden, no visible suction cups no chunky block. Can hide it in the gravel. Great review Chris. Will definitely look into these for my community tanks. 😊👍
Thanks my friend. I really like this one. Several ways to take it apart and clean it. Be nothing like the old stones or you're trying to scrape and take a brush to them. This is just a cloth and I really like it so far

Hey Chris, this product looks great. I like the quality of construction, maintenance for cleaning and product efficiency. I strongly thinking I'm going to picking up 4 large heads for my winter air pump for my goldfish water feature. When paired with a pond heater, it will disperse heat very nicely. Keeping the hole open and maximize efficiency of heater as well. Thanks for the recommendation and product review bud. Appreciate the share. 🍻

Damn looks like a nifty airstone, like the spread on the water surface! It's very dispersed and won't hit the top glass of the tank so much ass the original airstone that really vulcanos the bubbles up in the air. Look like a great product, thx for sharing buddy

Very detailed review of the product. Good comparison with different types of air stones. It’s great to know that it requires low maintenance, and I definitely prefer equipment that requires low maintenance. Quality looks good too!
Looks awesome Chris! When mine goes I’m going to look at getting one for sure! Mine is bright orange and floats to the top every once and a while no matter what I do. I also really like that you can take it apart to clean it, I haven’t seen that before!
Hi 👋 Nice product, great review. I agree, would make a good alternate for small shallower fish ponds, but also for indoor koi quarantine/hospital tanks. Hygger should consider a water garden/fish pond line of their products.
I agree Terry. I wish they would do more with their pom pumps and other items they sell, especially gearing to the the pawn trade, but one step at a time right? He has definitely. These would be great for quarantine tank and even small ponds that you have in your greenhouse facility. It's really nice fine mist of bubbles. Not those big clunky ones that are so loud and take away from the look of everything and being that you can clean these up. Yeah I think you'd really like them, especially where you work at
Awesome video Chris! We use pond agitators at work in the sprayers. I bet that would work really well for that aswell lol definitely going to be my next air stone because it's so hidable

It's on a pretty decent pump right now, but nothing huge as it's only about 3 in and a real big pump and I think we're pretty much blow it up as it's made for aquariums, but I'm going to give it a try outside in the pond this winter so maybe they'll make a bigger version for us a pawn keepers?

Yeah I think you guys will really like it. It's fun to take it apart and see how it works. Regarding your question, why it's a place the way it is for the intake port or for the bubbler it so it sits flat so the hose goes straight down into it. Once you start playing around with it, you figure it out real quick
Hi Chris! Really revolutionary and modern this Hygger air diffuser, I noticed that there are several models. Having hard and calcareous water I have always had problems with the pores of the diffuser clogging after a short time, can these be cleaned with some acid solution or other? Good weekend
Our water where I live is very hard and there is a lot of calcium so I think this would be really great and be really easy to clean and it won't clog up like my typical air stones that I have here. So I think I'm really going to like this and I'm going to put it through his test and deeper colder water outside with dinner
Certainly different than the typical air stone most commonly seen. Would be a good choice for most aquariums but too small for larger and deeper ponds although as you noted could work in smaller ponds 2 - 3 ft deep or preformed ponds. It might however be a good option even larger ponds for use over winter to help keep part of the pond surface ice free if suspended no more than 12" below the surface.
Thanks Ken. I think it would be great in those little quarantine tubs that you're running right now or a spot for let's say for your goldfish. But yeah, way too small for larger ponds, but I do like the concept of it. Much easier to clean than your conventional air stones or disks and definitely won't clog up. It's so easy to take part in several different sections and clean, so it'll be interesting to see how it does. I'm definitely going to put it outside in the winters. See how that holds up.
