White noise is equal energy per freq. pink noise is equal energy per octave 👍🏼 Also you can swap the x axis from log to linear you can do it with the axis tool at the top right of the rta graph Windowing sets a time period, every freq has a time period for a full cycle, if you set the window at 1msec the rta will not record for long enough to get low freq in fully so the rta then doesn’t display lower freqs well, it’s handy for capturing direct sound in loudspeakers and removing reflections that are further away and therefore arrive later 👍🏼
Very informative! i liked it. learned some new stuff! can you also explain Phase, Gating settings, Impulse response and how to correctly and fully align phase? Thank you very much!
Rew says use rectangular window with real time generated pink periodic noise, what about local file (pink periodic also) on usb? Does Hann would be better for external files because of clock difference as Rew says? Thanks for the great content by the way.
How were you able to record the sample rates without using some sort of speaker into the mic ?... can you please go over how your set up is and what would i need to practice the same measurements .... i would love to check if the pink noise i am using is any good
Good day sir I believe I have to go back thru your work on here and do retunes to my car, for instance my midrange just isn't giving me the smoothness it had b4 tune and the tweeters especially the driver side you can barely here I don't know if it is time alignment or level. Do you have any tips.
