As someone with severe health problems and disability, I so appreciate that Rhett brought up the frustration of constant unsolicited medical advice. People with major medical issues have seen many, many, many specialists 1000 times more qualified than you and we understand our conditions so much better.

I know, martial arts runs in my family, so i was doing taekwondo since I could walk and was nationally ranked. And then I got told that I couldn't do it anymore, it was really hard.

Why does everyone so upset about the ending? Rhett was obviously okay with the joke. Otherwise he would have just not gone through with it. I am suffering right now with what is believed to be a herniated disc, this is week five of not being able to move hardly at all and I have been watching SO many GMM episodes. I am so glad to have found this one and feel less alone in this. Rhett, I feel your pain and I am so sorry that you had to deal with this more than once. This was obviously filmed a few years ago so I really hope you are doing better now. I just wanted to really thank you guys for talking about this. ❤️ Love your videos!!!

Link knew about all of this before the cameras started.. knew the direction they were going to go.. and still had genuine concern when Rhett just innocently talked about his back pain. These two are tight .. I've had some incredible friends/best friends throughout my life .. but I don't think many of us can say we have a friend like Rhett/Link in our 30's/40's or beyond. If you have a friend that you can work with daily and for the MOST part not get sick and tired of each other .. you've found something incredibly special.

I remember seeing my dad with a slipped disc... it looked like the worst pain in the world. He went to physical therapy, and luckily didn't have to have surgery. I know you're fine now, and hope you continue to be well in the future!

I have the same problem right now with my back. The only difference is my pain was like 15 3 months ago. In that time i started to watch GMM and it helped me not to concentrate on pain all the time. Thank you for that guys.

Same for me, know what you're going trought Rhett and same for you Mycaruba, im stuck with both scoliosis and cyphosis and i can tell you that if you are ever suggested to have surgery, think realy long and good about it, because mines didnt go well and im now stuck with chronic pain which quite literaly means that theres no future for me now...so advice, think about it if you can

Mathieu Barrette I was on a waiting list for surgery but while I was waiting did some research on the procedure, almost all personal accounts were saying don't do it because it's a temporary fix at best. I feel for you though I've often thought about what it would be like if mine was bad enough to fully hinder my life. I've been lucky so far it hasn't been too bad but still in almost constant pain.

Trust me, it gets worse. I had an 86 degree curve when I was diagnosed at age 16, at that point I didn't feel much either, the only reason I had it looked at was my left shoulder wasn't straight even if I was standing straight. I'm 21 now and I'm in pretty consistent pain. Maybe you're luckier than I am, but I fear the worst is yet to come for you..

Ok Rhett to fix your back, go to mount camucamu and do the sacred ritual of the bone beast, its a creature said to have control of any bone like substance, when you get his blessing then the divine bone go the the fleshaya swamp and do the ritual of the flesh hog this ones is an immortal hog like creature said to live beneath the swamp he's cool don't worry he isn't going to hurt you, when you get his blessing and the sacred leather, wrap the bone with the leather and say "updulg" it means fix and your back will be better, to make it permanent you will need to freeze the bone and leather wrapped together by using Dry ice, no other ice can do this, you can store it anywhere but i think its best to store it under ground or something. Sadly non of this is real, so get Advil and sleep.

I feel for you Rhett. I'm a 12 year old girl and I'm 5'11 almost 6'0 which means I can't do gymnastics or sit on the floor as long as my other friends can. My back hurts a lot when I try to do these things so yes Rhett, I definitely feel ya brother.

I totally understand your situation, last year the lower three discs in my back ruptured, putting so much stress on my sciatic nerve that I wasn't able to move my legs without extreme pain. They had to take me to emergency surgery! Hope your condition improves. Best of luck to you and your family.

I herniated 5 disks in my back a few years ago from falling, and let me tell you, it wasn't just sitting up or exercising that was painful - I also couldn't eat or remotely stand up straight.

I feel you Rhett! I have a severe case of scoliosis at the age of 13. I was born with it but it's not really fun. I know at this time it's 2016 but, if you throw your back out again, remember that others in similar situations are supporting you!

I am so sorry you go through this. I truly understand. I have degenerative disc disease and arthritis down my spine. A bit over two years ago I had neck fusion. I only have 3 discs not ruptured. It hurts. I feel for you. I'm only 36, I'm old before I'm old. You're in my prayers.

Gosh, my mom had this happen and it is truly painful. Its one of those things that affects how you do things daily for like a few months... hope this doesn't happen again! Poor Rhett!

I can relate to your pain. Back when I was 15 I pulled a muscle in my lower back and it ended up pinching my sciatic nerve. It was the worst year and a half of my life! I couldn't sit for any more than 10 minutes or stand for any more than 10 minutes. I maybe got a total of 10 hours of sleep in a week from the excruciating pain. I had no idea how much you use your back in every day activities, such as going to the bathroom lol. People like my mom who have had a 16 hour open back surgery for scoliosis have my complete and utter respect. Hope you're doing better now

I feel you on the back pain. I've never had a ruptured disk and I know that's extremely painful because my dad has had a couple of surgeries for that but I'm 23 and have battled sciatica since I was 17. It's terrible. I've been countless times to my chiropractor almost unable to walk in the door. I drive a 5 speed and when that nerve gets pinched or inflamed I can't drive because I can't push the clutch. I hope your back gets better man!

Oh, i have six bulging and ruptured discs. I fell off a trampoline when i was a kid. and now i have a new lower back/hip injury. I feel your pain.

I’m watching this for the first time in 2020. I went through this same thing. And it is the most painful thing I have ever went through. I had to get surgery after a year and a half of trying to fix it other ways. I couldn’t walk for almost a year. This is no joke. It’s very painful. So I feel for Rhett. But I’m glad he’s good now

Rhett, I know how that feels. I have scoliosis. But, didn't know about it until 2010 when my back threw out. That spasm was very painful. The ER only gave me a forsaken cortisone shot. Thanks for nothing, doc! But I've learned how to deal with it too. I'm glad you have the support by Link and others.

I completely understand your pain Rhett. I had back surgery the summer of 2014, a year after my wedding. I had a double microdisctomy. 6 weeks after the surgery one of the discs they fixed ruptured. I am now on permanent disability because they can't fix it. I take several different medications to help ease the pain as well as an anti-inflammatory ointment. I also under stand the way you were standing about a month before my surgery I was almost completely leaning to one side.

I feel your pain! I recently recovered from a similar back injury, several chiropractor visits did not help as much as falling on my ass and having my back pop lol.
