I got these boots last week. I struggled like hell to get them on. They were nice, looked really good. Struggled my ass off to get them off a few minutes later. Returned them today. That upper was too narrow (and too tiring) for them to be worth keeping and wearing.

They took about 1.5-2 weeks for the shaft to relax and get them in and off easier. A boot jack really helps (as is it does with most cowboy boots). But the narrow shaft allows them to be worn with a larger range of pant fits.

@@Tom_H327 I need to pick up a pair of Thursdays myself. I way close to getting a few pairs of boots….. the the heat hit and I switched to my summer shoes. But fall is right around the corner!

I grabbed a pair on sale for $100 bucks off. It is the lighter version, Mojave suede. Thanks for this review. I look forward to my pair now and getting some age on them. Since you didn't show in the video, I assume you don't have a boot jack. I use mines every day and if you get a really good one (don't skimp), no worries about getting your boots scuffed. And for your boots or shoes that are broken in, it takes even less effort to come off. Just a recommendation. Thanks again. Happy New year.

I do not have a boot jack. I actually didn’t know they existed until pretty recently. I may have to invest in one.

I don’t know about 10 years. But it my Double H Wellingtons are nearly 20 years old. I got them some where between 2005-2007.

These would have been a great buy if they were square toe. Point toe boots are just not that great anymore once you get fitted with some square toe boots, so much more comfortable and look better with everything.

I find the opposite. I prefer pointed toe. I think they look much better and I find them to be more comfortable. I can see if I had a wide foot the square toe giving me more space, but having a D/E with foot, pointed to fit me better. And again, I like the aesthetic look of a pointed toe over a square. I've got a pair of Double H square toes that are about 13 years old and still look almost new because I don't like the look and feel of them.

I would agree on the comfort but not the looks. Narrow square toes are cool but the wide ones are ugly imo. There’s a reason why all sartorial dress shoes for men are round toe.

Absolutely not maybe they win in comfort but aside from that they look like bricks on your feet , nothing like a good fitting traditional narrow cowboy boot
