The love lizards are back with their spicy dancing! Can you keep up in this dance battle? (No practice) This is actually the first Rhythm Heaven video I made in Sony Vegas. Definitely messy, but I learned a lot.
TLDR: any song works as long as it "feels right." I believe any game can be used with any type of song as long as the game's rhythms fit some way. This is entirely subjective because it's based on how it "feels" with any given song. Probably the best thing would be if you can match a game's cue exactly to a rhythm in a song. (This is especially tough with longer/more complex or distinct cues.) But it can also work if you match a cue in a general way, like matching the general feel of a song, or only parts of a cue with the song's rhythms. That's more what I did here, for example. The cues more reflect the song's feel and rhythms than matching it exactly. There can be other "outside" factors too though. Like I made a mental connection with how the song is an RPG battle between two parties, and how the game is a kind of dance-off battle between the lizards. That's also why I altered the color to feel hotter, or more intense. I know this isn't anything direct, but at the end of the day, all I can really say is to just keep an open mind and keep looking for opportunities where it can fit. I think that's the challenge of any remixer, really.
Strawzzboy64 what you said about the trying to match the exact rhythm is difficult is really true honestly. Sometimes I just can’t resist finding a game which its rhythm matches one part of the song. Well, I currently had a new custom remix (visual) made and uh if possible, maybe give me some advice on that?
