I’m pretty sure that Rich did johnny olson and Rod Roddy really proud up in announcer heaven when he was working at the price is right. It’s a shame that Mike Richards let go of him. If Bob was still around may he rest in peace, he probably would have faught to keep Rich on the price is right. Bob Barker said in an interview that Rich has a happy voice and the price is right is a happy game show.
@@MorganNye It's a television trick. Digital lights are very obvious and don't look as good as the real ones so in order to get that effect in the opening intro with the light border they point a camera at it, remove all of the color surrounding the lights in a process called chromakeying (in this case it seems to be Orange, but could be any color as long as it's solid and the same throughout, typically it's green which is why it's called greenscreening sometimes) and then superimpose that with the control mixer onto the screen over top whatever camera is active during the intro. A lot of television and game shows up through the 80's and even early 90's did this where all the prizes and credits you'd see on prize cues or at the end of the show were actually chromakeyed onto the screen before digital graphics were a lot easier and not as expensive to produce.
