Richard Briers talks about The Good Life (2008) 

Complex character Margo. All the negative stuff around her haughty, superior, snobbishness is obvious but her lack of emotional nous made her very vulnerable to ridicule which really cut her (she could also be extremely thoughtful and generous as a friend) an absolute genius character creation played to subtle perfection by Penelope Keith.

Fantastic series, still makes me laugh nearly 50 years on!

He was one of our greatest actors, absolutely brilliant, Ever Decreasing Circles is a masterpiece of acting and comedy... I miss him..RIP Richard

Margot's naevity to the real world was priceless and Penelope Kieth executed her lines to perfection. 😅

It was absolutely brilliant. That show was something we will never see again unfortunately on television unless it’s a rerun of the original.

Much loved. Will always associate it with The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin and Butterflies.

It's only just dawned on me that neither couple had any children.

It shouldn't really have been that good, but the acting was brilliant and made it so.

Apparently Richard Briers swore like a trooper in real life. I think that's so funny but I just can’t imagine it.

I remember looking after "Margo" and her husband in Quills Restaurant , Carlton Highland Hotel, Edinburgh back in the 1980s. Some Yanks were hounding her whilst she ate. I told them the Tattoo started in 20 minutes, they soon shifted (even though it didn't start for a couple of hours 😂).. I had the pleasure of looking after them all night, great memory for me, Mick.

I'd day that it wasn't the class system that came to the fore in the programme but more the battle of the sexes.

Richard Briers hated his character Tom, he thought he was selfish and arrogant.

I still feel that the Margot character helped to win the 1979 General Election for Margaret Thatcher.

Mrs Weaver has a tooth missing - that wouldn’t make it to air these days :)
