Mr Baker- Absolutely AMAZING! I own a number of Original Schlitzie memorabilia including an old carnival worn show dress from his/her last days on the sideshow circuit! Thank You for keeping her memory ALIVE !!! Your Pinhead Pal, Andrew D Gore
It's an honor to watch you work. I've made it a goal to teach myself into makeup effects mastery, and anything you post that shows your process is a generous help.
Freaks is one of my favorite films. The expression and the final pose, with the hand on the cheek are perfect. Seeing the process in time lapse is an amazing. Now where's Wallace Ford? :)
Nicely Done! Ive not used monster clay, hows it working for you Rick? Did you ever get a crappy pencil "Baker Portrait" many years ago? yeah, that was me.
Hi Rick, I was wondering if you could advise on where to get this type of clay and what its called? I live in Canada and have ALWAYS wanted to sculpt like this, but just never knew what type of clay to get! Thank you and LOVE ur work!
Thank you so much Rick. And thank you for replying so quickly! I'm an tattoo artist/artist and am currently being commissioned to do 'An American Werewolf in London' collage (in pencil). Do u have an address in which I can send u a print of it when I'm done? I would love to send one to yourself and John Landis if possible as a thank you for all the great work you guys have done over the years. ! Thanx again!
No one can compare to Rick Baker. CGI seems to be getting worse and worse...The Walking Dead, for example...cartoonish. There's nothing like the real deal.
ruvelf Some, but mostly CGI. It's the CGI that irks me...cartoonish, if you pay attention to blood splatter and that sort of thing. It really is...you get what you pay for, with CGI. TWD's budget is insane (for television), so I get it, but it bugs me.
