@whiplashtv2022 Mines a 2AP in a 6l80e, still a RCR spec. It's not been fully tuned yet. Got a base tune but Adam Cooper who built trans, and speced this cam and converter said the tune in the trans should be good.... he's not tuning this so I've been sorting out some stuff before I dyno it for tuning. Not sure I really think it's converter making this noise because locking it up does not stop my noise. But I hear alot of people say the triple discs make noise.
Generally that is a good idea. Rick said that I don’t need to upgrade the stock cooler, but I will definitely keep an eye on the transmission temps and make sure that they stay in a good zone 👍🏻
@@whiplashtv2022 Old school transmission fluid started to break down and "cook" at 200°f. The transmission temps in my coupe hoover around 190°f. I have no idea how much heat these newer trans-fluid can handle. Regardless, I like your idea of monitoring the temperature. Good luck.
I have never seen higher than about 180ish. The transmission fluid still goes through the radiator transmission cooler first, and then the stock external cooler. It will also help that my coolant isn’t making a pass through a oil cooler anymore which heats up the coolant.
No, it is not derived from the 5FPX as far as I know. I am not sure how high I can foot brake it too. I haven’t tried that yet. I will get back to you when I do try it though.
@@whiplashtv2022 Very Nice!! Love the build. Putting LSA in my 69 Nova. May have told you before. Check my facebook page GM Muscle Builds, Projects and Upgrades
@@1bad69xss4 that sounds like an awesome build! I have seen LSA supercharger powered old school cars more and more lately. I think it is super cool to see.
I have a "converter" coming out soon that will handle 2000hp, and weighs in at a mere 19lbs.. As soon as I get my shop moved back to South Carolina, we will be building 3. Running in 2 customer race cars... It will totally change the way you race.. Electronically adjustable stall speed.. Yep I said it.. One unit.. every application.. NO tire shock.. Fully adjustable slip rate, and fully adjustable slip RPM.. Impossible you say?? Nope..
@@whiplashtv2022 is going to be pretty slick for sure. Got about 4 years of R&D into it at the moment. A little help from some German engineers on their end. And trying to make sure we are not violating any other patents. It really will change everything..
