Nah the first song is so out of place. But it’s like Pet Sounds from The Beach Boys. The song Sloop John B doesn’t make any sense compared to the rest of the album but yes Garden of Love was Rick’s ultimate album he thought. I think it’s his best one. It is a solid 10/10
Actually the format for the show is live performances-that what made Don Kirschner’s Rock Concert special.I never saw a lip synchro performance on it in all the time I watched-and I was an avid fan.It’s Rick though,I can only imagine why he couldn’t do it live.
The thing I loved about the Late great Rick James is that he was not only a great singer entertainer, but he knew how to work the stage and the microphone 🥰, Love you Rick Always forever in Our hearts💕🥰💕
I agree with you 1million %, I have been saying that same things forever! You can also add Jermaine Jackson, & El DeBarge along with Rick, as the 3 most underrated singers, songwriters, arrangers, producers & multi-instrumentalist in the history of music !

I can’t believe How much I’m really digging Rick James and stone funk band . They were really incredible back in the day . Lolo I’m downloading all his albums on iTunes now .

That life we all make choices he had it tuff when he was young he was full of talent very smart but he had addiction. He lucky he lived as long as he did. Great voice
God this is such a good fucking album. If you’re here I imagine you listened to Garden of Love which Rick considered his Magnum Opus. Lmfao. But it is such an all around amazing album. Definitely one of my personal top 10
