Aww..We all took 90's Country Music for granted. Nashville was on fire back in the 90's. So many people got record deals. And CMT was actually worth watching. Not a reality show in sight.
It’s unreal how much country music has deteriorated in such a short time. I still have hope. There’s good music out there it’s just not played on radio.
I grew up on the 90s country. It just won't ever be the same. Sadly kids today won't have those memories with these songs as we did. I have kids and most are grown or closer to being grown, and they just won't have those memories and the world isn't safe as it used to be. Sad😢 time in the world today. I miss these times.
This kind of country music is why I became a country singer. Doesn’t get any better than these classics! I also had the pleasure of serving Rick and his family at Serrano’s Mexican Cantina in Austin,TX many years ago before I moved to Nashville. All the best Mr. Trevino.
What are you talking about? He was born and raised in Austin, Tx. English is his first language. He actually had to learn Spanish before he could record his first Spanish album.
Rick, just thinking about meeting you that day in 2006, what an upstanding man you were, and a gentleman, I would have been proud to have called you my son...... I’m now 70 and still learning as I go. SEMPER FI SON
I think he just didn’t care about Nashville any more. He has been doing his own thing in Austin, he has a show at the Paramount theater on February 25th.
I met Rick in North Austin when he was 17 and his promoter, his dad. I knew he'd go far, but somewhere someone dropped the ball. He never hit the top of the hill in country music. Kinda sad 'cause he had the talent.
I've never felt such emptiness I've had it made I must confess I've had you, I've never been alone So keep in mind I'm a little green Yeah, this is all so new to me But I'm Learning As You Go So girl take it easy On this heart of mine Remember as you leave me This is my first time And girl while you're walking out Please walk out real slow Cause I'm Learning As You Go It's hard to see through all these tears Just where I should go from here I've never been down, this old lonesome road So excuse me if my heart should break I'm bound to make a few mistakes But I'm Learning As You Go So girl take it easy On this heart of mine Remember as you leave me This is my first time And girl while you're walking out Please walk out real slow Cause I'm Learning As You Go And girl while you're walking out Please walk out real slow Cause I'm Learning As You Go Yeah, I'm Learning As You Go.
America Country musician Rick Trevino here .I want to use this medium to thank you for being my fans and I hope you never stop listening to my music and if you like to talk more my first digit is 860 followed by 736 then 304 and 1
I break up country music by pre-2001 and post-2001. Seems that was the change of country music when Toby Keith became ultra patriotic and country started getting more pop and rap tones.
this is a good loved and lost song. Good story he's telling here. Losing your first can be a tough time for a young person, but we learn and grow...frickin life....

I don't know what happened to this guy but who ever didn't push his music career higher should have been fired. I could listen to him and George Straight songs all day

I went through a country phase in the 90s; some friends were fans and it rubbed off...saw quite a few concerts then. I lost interest soon after the year 2000. I still listen to 90s and pre-90s country every now and again, though. This is a great song; it's too bad Rick never quite made it as big as he should have.
Likely as not i had not heard this song in 15 years. Was watching Jamal aka Jamal Reactions on RU-vid. He said check out Selena Duico Medley . I did. Knew little of her so Wikipedia 'd her. Bio mentioned Rick finding her. So here I am remembering his name but not his song. And man, what a flashback gift. Two stepping country song so nicely done.
un enorme abrazo Rick, te sigo desde 1993, cuando me encontré con tu música en una tienda de discos en la Cd. de México. actualmente sigo al pendiente de lo que haces. saludos desde Colotlán, Jalisco, México.
Found myself singing this song from out of nowhere today. Such a great song to do the Fort Worth Shuffle to at Cowboys Red River Dancehall ❤ Happy dancing around my kitchen with great song
