Rick VS Doctor  

Keep in mind that Goku vs Superman is the 2ND TO LAST BATTLE of the season, which can only mean that they’re cooking up one hell of a finale

I think the important thing that hooked me on this fight was, despite knowing about only three Doctors' worth of content, and a season's worth of content for Rick and Morty, it felt like both of them stayed completely in character. Rick was a constant aggressor, pushing the conflict further and further, meanwhile none of the hits landed were by the Doctor. He disabled tech, disarmed Rick, and hesitated on using the D-Mat, which led to Rick forcing him into regeneration. Which... Rick would have killed him during, had he not gotten greedy, and fired the D-Mat, giving the Doctor a chance not only to finish Rick off by hoisting him by his own petard, but undo _any injury_ he endured during the fight. It was really the best way it could have ended in the Doctor's favor.

At least boomstick didn't made any pickle rick jokes.

Gotta say I loved the fact that the doctor didn't even break his killing rule even for this, since Rick himself was his own downfall. They're both such a great foil of one another, one that takes himself too seriously and is used to being a sort of God in his own universe, and the other who only becomes serious when he has to and used to fighting against almost unstoppable beings. Also loved the "you gotta keep blinking to avoid the angels" bit

We all knew that they had to do the Next Time eventually but no one expected it to be this earlu

The episode was really good overall and I'm very hyped for the next time.

I definitely think the suit is the finale so mabye it’s either Yoshikage or yagami (Could very well be the beaker tho)

All i can say is It was fun. And next time is gonna be interessting.

This was definitely more of a fan fight. There's so much character shit to appreciate you're just gonna miss. Like the fact the doctor just made Death Battle history not ever actually attacking his opponent and literally winning. The most in character fight, and win condition. Or when presented with the weapon to end his enemy, the doctor still hesitates.

also no Lord Vortech cameo

I just realized that, because Rick got sent back in time by an angel, he probably should’ve won. He basically got a lifetime or more worth of prep time to beat the doctor

As a long-time Rick and Morty fan who also finally got into Doctor Who last year, this was really fun to watch.

I’d say a bad one. Not because Rick lost but because they neglected Rick’s instakilling moves like slicing the doctor in half.
