But you have to ask if Safety Man could authorize such a raise(or if he would be part of the process). Ricky(being the True Boss Man) would know Safety Man was bluffing.
I love that both characters are so developed that they both clearly know the game being played. That "Really?" about the steaks sold it. My brain actually interprets them as different peeps, lol.
@ShinyMetalass254 you do know rickie, Rickey, and Riki are different ways to spell the same name of Ricky. I just defaulted to the one I commonly use. If you have a problem with that, understand English is a Frankenstein amalgamation of several languages.
Where l used to work we used man lifts. If we got in one we were 4 ft off the ground so had to strap in before we moved. Problem was safety strap let you drop 6 ft before restraining you.
@@davidh7300 Guessing you tie it off at the opposite end you're working depending on the side of the platform. Guess the next problem is the possibility of the strap slipping right/left if they somehow fell over the edge of a man-lift, but that cab be fixed with another carabiner.
totally demeaning ... but i would fess up ... laying on concrete hurt, or cutting a deal that if i go to the ER, i'm a changed person and will stay that way for the $4 raise :)
More like a college graduate who thinks he knows better and keeps running into the reality that most people just don't give a crap, but when he IS right he really enjoys it.
My company has a tie off rule over 4 feet. We’ve asked repeatedly about where exactly do we tie off? The ladder? The ceiling grid? How do we tie off above us if we can’t climb the ladder? Do we climb the ladder to tie off and break the rule? We’ve never gotten an answer.
Not to mention the breakaway thingy they require us to use when tied off doesn't even work for only 4 feet. If you ain't ten feet up you still going to hit the ground.
Safety Man doesn't win many of these, but when he does, he likes to win BIG. I remember the time I fell off the roof of my parent's home. Single story, not really that far a drop. Didn't break or dislocate anything. Because their rosebushes caught me.
@Jason Fuentes lol yup. The only thing more grabby than roses are what we called porcupine eggs. Essentially, seedpods with velrco hooks. Lot less painful than rose bushes, lol.
Don't feel bad man we were drunk one time on the front porch of a plantation and it got the bright idea to jump into the bushes which were about 12 ft below. I stuck The Landing but I completely missed the fucking bushes. I'm pretty sure my kneecaps came out of my shoulders
"No, I didn't fall off the ladder. You distracted me, and I needed to move the ladder. So when I went to move it, I went and tripped on it." "So now you're blaming me for you falling off the ladder?" "Number one: I didn't fall off the ladder. I tripped. It's a common accident. Nobody's at fault. Little kids trip all the time. So did I. I'm used to it. I just need a little time, ice, and painkillers, and I'll be fine. Number two: you're the Safety Man. It's always your fault. Number 3: accidents like this only happen to me when you're around. Once is funny. Twice is a coincidence. But three or more times? That's a pattern right there."
I can kinda relate to to pain from being a kid taking an express trip down the stairs. Takes a minute to shake it off. But to miss out on a nice steak i would crawling if i couldnt get up. Loved how they were playing each other essentially. Ive climbed up onto my tractor platform then the big tire then the steering rod support (only big enough for tip of foot) to climb into 8ft high shelf in barn rather than get the ladder. Nothing dangerous to it
I’m starting to think that the way he’s able to act is out with such well-developed individual characters is that Ricky has a lot of brothers. All inside his head. I’m sure when he goes home after work he carries on the same kind of conversation
Man this one was good. I also heard ricky does all his own stunts too. He really took that fall and just held a conversation like he really was on break the whole time. THATS acting!!!
I think the tie off rule should only apply to anything other than a ladder. I mean where on the ladder are you going to tie off onto that isn't going to drop the ladder on your head when you fall off of it?
I would argue that the safety man was the cause of this accident. Had he not walked up and distracted the employee, the job would have been done, without interaction.
I love this skit so much! A lot of it reminds me of something that happened in my life many years ago. But I digress, keep up your great work on this channel and I can’t wait to see what else you have in store! Have a blessed day.
I started as a helper and worked my way up to management. I was in safety for the last 17 years of my career. I can promise you Ricky works for every company out there lol. Thank God I'm retired.
Paramedic here. Had an otherwise healthy patient who had a femur fracture when he lost his balance while standing on the tool box on the bed of his truck. He had to get external bone stabalizers and was out of work for months. If no one had found him, he would have bleed to death within the hour.
I'm of two minds on the tie off thing. On the one hand I saw (with my own eyes) a man step off a scaffold and telescope his tibia and fibia right up to either side of his femur. He was screaming the moment his foot hit the ground. I don't know what happened to him after that, I wasn't part of the crew. He only stepped down something like 18 inches. On the other hand, I'm up and down 10 foot ladders all night with no harness. Extension ladders, A-Frames, fixed ladders over 20 feet. Sometimes it makes sense to tie off. Sometimes it doesn't. Bad things can happen no matter what.
Brother you nailed it again! Like these other guys quoted ,you have these characters so developed,it's hard to remember that they are not separate individuals. Boss Man Breadstick,,you are the Best ! Oh ,let's nor forget about old Rosco! What's so funny ,I have been everyone of these characters in my life ,take it from old Floyd Rosco ,Brother!
Love watching these, I could be having a bad day.. n this really makes me smile.. And being single N kinda bored makes me want to actually date someone like Ricky... lol
I loved it 🤣🤣 Tbh I was expecting the safety man to celebrate to Ricky's face or something after so many times he mentioned safety n Ricky ignored it all😆😆😆
I can't count the number of times that 'safety' people have come and started asking questions and interrupted my work. It's gotten to the point that I have to completely stop what I am working on to answer their questions. I then have to mind dump all the crap they had been talking about to get myself back in the work mentality before going back to what I was doing.
