@wedge I have so far endeavoured not to do so . . . although realistically such a phrase my well appear half way through any future comments I may feel inclined to express.😉
Not me, i have no issue letting a car pass as it takes 2 seconds for them. You of course. prefer they slam on their brakes and waste gas while you mosey on by. You probably complain about climate change..However, how much gas would we save if everyone let the car pass in these situations?
Only time I've wanted to do it is when car is already stopped and guns it while I"m walking across. In the situation in this clip, i would of noticed the car and waved him through...Probably wouldn't of even broke a stride as fast as that car was going
@@lukedukey If half of humanity sold their cars we'd have far lower emissions. That's an achievable goal. The only way we'll get change like that to happen is through activism. The small amount of emissions generated by damaging a few cars is far outweighed by the emissions we would stop with better urban design.
Lovely comments section full of outraged people. I bet they're on the Fawlty Towers clips too, "If you treated a worker like that you'd be closed down!" and "A rat wouldn't sit in a biscuit barrel like that!"
Except Fawlty is shown as being a mean pathetic man and no one would think of emulating him. While Ricky's character is shown as being a cool, clever, edgy kind of guy, with a morality that people should follow. Everything in this scene portrays him as doing something right, even if it's very wrong, while Fawlty meaness was always played for laughs not for people to go "Oh I wish I would do that"
Listen: If you slung a fucking cactus through the back window of a passing car, you would end up: A) Nicked. B) Getting knocked the fuck out. C) Or BOTH 🙄
"I'd like to see him come at me with all that 'I'm a hard bastard stuff,' I'd say 'Put the baseball bat down, send the minders home. It's just you and me, skin on skin, stripped to the waist. Mano an mano" --- Ross Kemp of the Super Army Soldiers
@@tiotom9217 throws a few crocodile tears in and everyone goes on about how it's 'hilarious yet thought-provoking' etc. Geezer has one gear... And it's a bit tedious after 15 years.
Only doing what soo many of us have thought about and wanted to do!. Sticks through the wheels of cyclists who ignore Pedestrian crossings also comes to mind! 🤣
Also some people with bikes on the road are a bit annoying too, I mean I know that's the law and if they are fast enough on bikes then that's not a problem, some people usually go on the path and that's the slow people but I don't blame them if no one gets hurt, but if they are too slow on the road then they only have themselves to blame
He doesn't have enough Cactuses for Bangkok. I dodge bikes on the footpath and drivers just ignore zebra crossings as standard, despite there being laws against both crimes, and the lazy police do NOTHING! Correction they watch football in their booths, and collect made up fines as they are underpaid, again as standard.
Totally disagree. Then you missed the whole idea of the series. That’s the beauty of this season - it’s completely different from what we’ve seen before. The last two episodes are the best of all the series (IMO).
@@kpoudavoff Very little new in S3; too much filler in the form of protracted rants (esp. the “Brian” character. That said, S3 did find its way in the last two episodes. Still a gem; still loved it.
@@kpoudavoff I hope he will not make Part 4. Season 3 was not emotional (except for 1 scene with sick kids) and 2-3 funny scenes only. Not even close to Season 1 and 2.
@@marektruper4242 it was emotional in many senses, I guess you’ve just missed that. You guys are missing the point of the show. Every next season should not be “more emotional” or “more funny”. Season 3 finishes the story of Tony and his people, in a very beautiful way. Ricky has clearly stated that season 3 was final.
@Wanda Greene Exactly. Although the Rickster obviously believed it was the best thing he'd (his ego) had ever written , it would have benefited with someone to bounce ideas off of. Someone like a lanky goggle-eyed freak maybe!(?)
Despite understanding the frustration I can't actually enjoy this as funny because it's dangerously psychopathic behaviour. How does he know there are not kids in the back seat, or he's not going to cause the car to swerve off the road and crash in to someone? There should have been at least one scene in the series where Tony faces the consequences of these over the top acts of revenge. Should have at least cut the scene as the guy gets out of the car and then have Tony show up with a black eye and say "I probably took things too far" or some recognition that just being annoyed doesn't give you licence to potentially kill someone.
Probably the only thing I disagree with him on. Might be different where I live, but is it really that hard to wait 2 seconds for a car to pass vs having them slam their brakes AND WASTE GAS so you can execute your right of way? Are people that desparate for power? I personally HATE walking in front of cars, so i have no issue looking both ways (just like we learned in grade school) and waiting the 2 seconds for a car to pass
The double standard to criticise the driver for not sparing 10 seconds to stop, when you yourself as a pedestrian aren't prepared to wait a few seconds.
@@emmuzboosh But common sense also applies. You could be quite close in your car up to a crossing when someone turns up. Going thru would make more sense than having to harshly brake. I don't even drive. I cycle and walk everywhere. My point is that the virtue of patience kinda works both ways. 5 or 10 seconds isn't really going to ruin your life, is it? Especially if you see yourself as the 'better person'.
@@recruitmentch I've had drivers violently accelerate when I've started crossing on a zebra to try and bully me back onto the pavement - in all cases the were nowhere near when I started crossing and simply decided they shouldn't have to brake when someone else has clear right of way. That's not common sense, it's dangerous and entitled.
I find the whole show poorly written. This scene should have been funnier. There's nothing clever about it. Sure I watched it but it's no where near as funny as Ricky's first two shows.
Well the majority of the audience would disagree. Literally MILLIONS of people across the globe love this show because it shows grief for losing a loved one, something most people can relate to. There is a reason Netflix BEGGED Gervais to do a 3rd Season
@@Stuart267 Popularity doesnt automatically mean it's brilliant. McDonald's is popular. Afterlife has connected with people. Which isn't hard - almost everyone has experienced loss.
