Badr hari was a fuckin BEAST. I remember when my dad introduced me to the golden era of pride and k1 - Badr, zambidis, overeem, fedor, buakaw, wanderlei. These were legends for me.

Absolutely agree! I dont know about soccer...but Kickboxing has been associated with Holland for many manh years. R.I.P Ramon Dekkers, one of the first non-thai person to win lots of fights in Thailand, using his dutch style,thats like late 80s and 90s. Rico is cool, but kickboxing is Dutch more than anything else!

The first Rico v Badr fight was the one that showed how much heart Rico has. Badr was winning & had Rico busted open in the first couple of rounds & Rico, somehow, digs deep & comes back like a fucking warrior. That boy is a real champion.

I remember watching the first fight live, the stare down while they tried to control the crowd was one of the coolest scenes in kickboxing, pity the way it ended. the rematch gonna be insane.

The bottom line it’s a huge deference between Hari and Nico. Hari fought the best of the best fighter of history of K1 verses Nico is like new to the sport. Hari is a legend of K1 is a bad boy and a killer.
He was winning however that doesn't mean he would have won if he hadn't broken his arm. Badr was starting to get fatigued where Rico can go hard for 5 rounds. We'll see during the rematch in december
Badr Hari in my top 5 fighters of all time. the strength he brought to the ring.... it was unparalleled. the most dominant style in any fighting discipline since maybe Tyson. Ofc all my opinion, feel free to disagree.

@@Donnouri1 I was born in Pakistan myself and moved to the US when I was 6 in 1996 and I have to say the same thing. Even back in the early 90s in Pakistan if you were able to you could send your kids to private catholic schools where we learned English. I can still remember watching WWF in Pakistan when I was 4 and being able to understand. Even when I started school here I was moved into first grade when I should’ve been in Kindergarten because where I was already in Pakistan I would be considered going into 2nd grade. Even now when I tell people that I wasn’t born in the states people look at me very shockingly and I apologize for not sounding like Apu from the Simpson’s lol. Ok rant over haha
@@questionmark8046 I could definitely see that, I wasn’t the biggest fan of Rico when I first started watching glory but he won me over man I’ve seen a few of his interviews and he’s very charismatic, funny, entertaining and just seems like a really down to earth dude who happens to arguably be the best heavyweight or even P4P the best kickboxer on the planet!

Watching this because of the fight coming up. We definitely need to see Badr vs Rico again!!! No one's knocked him down let alone twice in a match.. huge Rico fan, but think he's a little slow and vulnerable, but can only imagine what those legs feel like when catching one to the quad 🤣.
Lets hope Badr is a good shape december. Rico had his time long enough. I think Rico knows he makes less change in MMA or boxing heavyweight devision. So he stays in kickboxing. That is his good right. But i would like to see some more exciting fights out of the comfort zone.

Badr and Rico are like night and day character wise. Badr the more spectacular style but weak bones. Rico has that rare natural bone structure/build as a foundation that you are either gifted with or not. He is a very technical and great champion and like all true champions, the right mentality.
Honestly, I have nothing against this guy he is an awesome athlete, humble and respectful. It's just his style of fighting it isn't doing it for me man.
