US Firetrucks carry a lot more equipment than the UK trucks. They have everything at hand

i like the words when they are responding my dept talks about what they are going to do at the scence while responding

Here in the Netherlands we also have the green flashers.... its for firefighters and EMS responders to see the car with the first responder and officer in charge is there....

@Kenster1025 Yes, and in some states it can also indicate that EMS is onboard. But in this case, yes, it indicates volunteers.

i wish they had the response for the tractor trailer that flipped over the convrete median going over branch ave. And @fire3fighter343 i think he was driving in D then shifted to low because he was coming to the corner to fast, that corner is sharp trust me i ride it everyday.

Why did they pass by the emergency cut through just a few hundred feet past the scene and drive a mile or so down the road to turn around and drive back?

Sorry if this sounds stupid but I know very little about fire engines. How does the driver know where to go regarding navigation? In other words does dispatch relay exact coordinates to a gps on the computer for the driver to see or does he have to know where he is going. Thanks.

once the call comes in you get you bunker gear on and then Jump in the truck and go with your crew because you should have your bunker gear on even before rolling out of the station on a car fire call. For a volunteer deaprtment once a call comes out get your gear on jump in the truck and go don't wait around from 0:50 to 1:33 you waisted 10 minutes you could already been at the scene having the fire undercontrol and trying to save someone car. For a Volunteer fire department in a small town/city,etc u have 30 minutes or less by the time the call goes out and you leave the station. If you go over 30 minutes u can get in trouble. That is why its best to step up your response times quickly and not sit around and let someone wait for you. Jump in the truck with your gear on and Go with your crew and they should be scrambling to because your a fire department people rely on you to save the house,car, etc when they need help. Where i work at we had a Garden bed fire in the Parking Lot next to a Bank and the fire house was right down the street well it took forever for the fire department to respond and by the time they got to the scene Garden bed fire/ Grass fire/ Mulch fire/etc it was fully involved they were so slow that we had to do the fire fighter work our self because of how long they took to respond. The volunteer department Got in trouble because the response time was so slow and they run code but also goes the speed limit which is 25mph in and around town.

@raksoen well it depends, we prob get more fires and also we carry more water, hose, tools and random shit lol....but i do agree uk trucks are fast but i think ours are sexyier lol

@raksoen are fire trucks in the usa can haul ass BUT that just puts lifes in danger and some of the rigs have this one thing (i forget what its called) but once you reach a speed like 60 or 65 it wont let you go no faster then that.....there is no need to be going 60 or 65 anyway....part of the firefighters job is to remain SAFE even when your going to a call :D

im in America and i think that our American rigs not those foreign ones ours are so much better looking and just better looking in my opinion

@call17police Au États-Unis tu peux faire des ``RIDE ALONG`` avec certains services incendie... faut que tu t'informe à même la caserne ou sur leur site internet des disponibilités. Certaines villes au Canada en fond aussi!

Christmas tree! Your vehicles are too big you need small vehicles for some emergencys and its much faster!

@ScottishPoliceVideos personally i also think that the fire trucks and ambulances in the US are waaay to slow and ugly! In the UK are the emergency vehicles very cool and nice!
