I have put 5100 miles on my 700 Series. This is a GREAT bike! Battery shows no depreciation in range in about three years of use. I can go sixty miles on a full charge (using a number 2-3 pedal assist, which is perfectly comfortable).

I just got mine in and they have already made some changes to the bike compared to the ones I've seen people review. THe biggest change was the tires. It's the same schwalbe tires, but now has a super bright reflective strip on the rubber all the way around. It makes you super visible at night from the side.

I love the 700 series... hopefully I can get my hands on an updated version or their next iteration of it. Thanks for the comment and for sharing the recent changes! Enjoy your 700 series!

Pretty sure I'm going to pick this up at $1549 right now. Seems like a no-brainer over the 500 series w/ rack and fenders for $1500.
@Top5ebikes
@Top5ebikes 2 года назад
Thanks for the comment! We've owned then both and either would be a good choice but w the sale price of $1545, the 700 series provided even more value. If you buy the 700 series, let us know your thoughts once you start riding it.

I would love to see a throttle only range test on the 700 , it seems to check all the boxes . One question can u get a child seat on that rack?
@Top5ebikes
@Top5ebikes 2 года назад
Unfortunately we had the 700 stolen so for now, no more videos. I was really upset bc it's been my favorite ebike. And yes, you can put a child seat on the rack! I would ride around with a Yepp Maxi sitting on the Factory Ride1up rack. You do need to add an adaptor which I link in this article top5ebikes.com/en/child-seats-for-ebikes/

@@Top5ebikes Thank you very much for mentioning you were able to our a yepp maxi on the rear rack! I was long everywhere to see if it was possible, as I noticed it didn’t have the yepp window in the rack. Thanks!! The website says it is now a Bafang 750w instead of Shengyi 750w. Do you know if one is often quieter than the other? A lot of people mentioned the bike was loud in the past. Thanks for the review!

What are your thoughts on the 1 up 700 vs the Aventon Level? I'm stuck between the two. I don't like that Aventon doesn't list the exact components they use.
@Top5ebikes
@Top5ebikes 2 года назад
Thanks for the question. I personally love both of these brands for different reasons and the 700 & Level are such similar ebikes. Here are some thoughts: the 700 series is $100 cheaper, 700 now comes with a Bafang motor, 700 assembly is a bit more work, Aventon has dealers to provide support...I think I'd personally go w the Ride1up but I'd also recommend the Pace 500 next gen. The new features of that ebike also make it a good option (although it's $1699 without fenders or rack). Btw we have a pace 500 about to be delivered so O can provide more feedback on the 700 vs Pace 500 in a few weeks...it will be interesting bc i loveeeeeee the 700. It's such a cool ebike
@OutnBacker
@OutnBacker 2 года назад
I have the 700. IMO, after looking close and doing due diligence before I bought, the Aventon Level frame is most likely made in the same factory. Both are excellent quality builds. The 700 comes with more things that you would probably add after market, so a better package for the money. When bought mine, the Aventon did not have a thumb throttle over-ride. I think thye stepped up and added it. I'm into my second year and have had absolutely no issues except that I ride in a ver rainy area so I added a large weather flap to the front fender. The 700 is fast, and I used to say that a shock front is a waste of weight. But, since it goes fast, I have revided my thoughts, and now I think the handling is superb because of teh shocks - which are adjustable and can be locked out. Aventon has soe dealer support, but ALL bike shops will keep your bike tuned and shiftying great bnecause the components are standrad off the shelf items. As for the electriacls, you're on your own no matter what bike you have due to supply issues. Any bike shop will assemble your 700 for a nominal fee.

Hi there, thanks for the comprehensive review! Have you ever ridden the Ride1Up LMT'd (Limited) and if so, how does it compare to the R1Up 700? My wife and have been researching E-bikes, and Ride1Up seems the best value for the money. I was supposed to buy her an E-bike for her birthday, and instead, I bought (pre-ordered) a Ride1Up Prodigy for myself (I am in a bit of trouble :-( ). She was not impressed by the Specialized Vado 4.0 mid-drive motor which is similar to the R1Up Prodigy, so I am looking for a zippier? rear hub bike. Please give me your experienced thoughts on 700 vs LMT'D, and mid-drive vs rear hub drive if you feel inclined. Regards
@Top5ebikes
@Top5ebikes 2 года назад
Hello! Thank you for the comment & question. We have not ridden the LMT'd so i cant speak about a real life comparison... but I can speak about the specs differences. The LMT'd is lighter (about 9 lbs), has a bigger motor and includes other upgrades (suspension, grips, etc)...but it doesn't come w rack like the 700 series. Now that the LMT'D has a cadence sensor just like the 700 Series, I'd say your decision probably depends on the motor/power, where you mainly will ride (if rougher trails, then go w the LMT'D) and weight of the ebike. I hope this helps and please let us know which Ebike your wife gets! Also, the prodigy looks like an amazing ebike. Enjoy the prodigy when it arrives!

Good video thanks. I saw your reviews on the Ariel Rider Rideal.. Was wondering which bike has the most power that is best for hills and has the best range? Rideal or 700?
@Top5ebikes
@Top5ebikes 2 года назад
Thanks for watching and for the comment...hmm. those are tough questions! (Btw we just sold the Rideal so this is based off of my memory) The Rideal for sure takes off the line quicker but I think the 700 is an overall more powerful motor. Also the 700 has a higher top speed. Battery wise they have the same size but i was able to get a longer range (throttle only) w the 700 but there could be so many factors determining range. Btw I've mentioned the 700 series is my favorite solo riding ebike bc its more comfortable, especially vs the Rideal. But then again the Rideal is $899 right now so that could be a reason why people would pick the Rideal over the 700 series. I hope this helps!
@18andlikeit
@18andlikeit 2 года назад
@@Top5ebikes thanks for your reply.. I was set on the Rideal, but it really does look more like a Walmart bike with a motor and and battery attached to it. I'm getting older and I'm thinking it won't be comfortable for me on longer rides. So I'm looking at other bikes now. The 700, even the 500 looks interesting, but I've been eying the Ride 1 up Limited bike.. I don't see a whole lot of video reviews on that one. Wish you could do a full review on one!
@Top5ebikes
@Top5ebikes 2 года назад
@@18andlikeit the Limited has good spec's...we'd love to review it but don't have it as of now. But who knows? Maybe we'll get it considering we've received 3 Ride1up ebikes to date....btw we've had a great experience w the 3 ebikes.

@@Top5ebikes because of the tire tread pattern or the frame itself?
@Top5ebikes
@Top5ebikes 2 года назад
@@TheDougbergman because of the frame. It only has a front fork suspension so it's a bit rigid for rough trails but perfect for light trails/uneven paved roads. I've taken it on rocky trails and it does ok, but for a rough trail I'd much rather have an ebike with a full suspension.

Is it actually a 500w motor? As of March 2022 on their website, it states 750w motor.
@Top5ebikes
@Top5ebikes 2 года назад
Thanks for the great question. I see the site now says 750w sustained....at the time we reviewed I'm pretty sure the peak was 800w/nominal 500w. I double checked and saw other reviews also mention this. Not sure if the newest version had an upgrade when it comes to motor wattage.
