Good discussion with several great points made, and two great ebikes! Definitely designed for different riding styles and preferences. It would be more difficult when comparing two models with significant overlap, such as between Ride1Up’s 700 and Turris, or between the Ride1Up Rift and Aventon Aventure. Ad for me, I have their LMT’d (gen 2). It has a 100Nm hub motor. It can climb and accelerate, but since it uses a torque sensor, it makes you work to go faster. Getting to 25mph on flat roads is easy, getting to 28 is significantly more work. But it has a throttle so I can use that to help climb hills. I am very curious about the Prodigy though, as there is a small delay (about 1/3 of a second) in response to pedal input with the LMT’d when starting from a stop. Perhaps I’ll upgrade to the Prodigy v2 with its belt drive and IGH after they get UL certification.

Interesting you mention the 700 and Turris... stay tuned :) Fair points on the LMT'd. Next to no delay on the V2 with pedaling. UL certification is in the works from what we hear.

your top affiliate link in description is broken ;) I do have a beginner question, what is the best way to find out if E-bikes are for you? Borrow some decent one from local e-bike store for a day to test it out?

Ride1ups website says the 700 has 90nm of torque. Is it 90, or 60?

We noticed that a couple of days ago too. It seems they updated the motor and controller. So it was 60 when we released this video but now it is higher.
