They do look very nice, i've got a pair of German para boots that are serving me extremely well but I am eyeing up a pair of Lowas for the longer term ~Peace~
Thanks man, I look forward to your review, they look to be suited to more off trail rather than a regular walking boot, almost like a welly, but more comfy! sure do look rugged, one concern I may have is how breathable they are? like you, I am a fan of a nice high rind on my boots too. Cheers bud!
***** Yeah they are not your typical walking boot per say Brasher style, but then they are surprisingly light for what you would expect as well! Breathability? well, you always trade off with that with any waterproofing don't you, time will tell on that one. All the best!
They look very interesting, Paul. I would prefer a one-piece upper & tongue but that don't half put the price up! The rubber rand will go along way to keeping them waterproof, and I like that they are a proper high-top boot... low-cut boots are a stupid idea - you might as well just wear trainers. I hope they work out for you, they look great :-)
nicestknives Cheers Jim, the proof will be in the wearing of course! I am impressed with what you get compared to some of the other brands that cost upwards of £250 for the same features. All the best!
Hi, How did you get on with these boots ? Was the UK sizing correct ? Did the seam on the inside of the foot going up and across the foot prove a problem - haven't seen this on other boots and wondered if it was a potential weak spot. Do you know if it is possible to replace the soles if they wear down ? TVM
That Ridgeline gear looks fantastic mate, loved the jacket and trousers you had on at the weekend! Where is the best place to order them from? Direct or somewhere else on the net? Cheers mate!
NovemberKilo113 They are very well made in my opinion mate, the proof will be in the wearing of course! The RRP? well its a lot lower than a Pair of Hanwag tatra's or Lowa Hunter GTX's that's for sure! lol!
jediknightofthewoods I swear by my Lowas but for the money they cost you'd expect them to be comfortable lol. I'll be watching with interest as you review these more. Could do with a non military pair tbh
Forest Prepper Will do mate! First impressions are very good, great build quality. Will give you a shout when I get back with an update mate. Then you can have a closer look at the Christmas meet if you can wait that long! lol! Oh and knowing you, you'll buy two pairs anyway! lmao!
