Riding Broadford Racetrack and the 60 Second Target

Broadford Racetrack in Victoria, Australia, is a short yet incredibly fun to ride racetrack where anything 60 second or better lap time is really on the money.
I wanted to know how far I could ride in 60 seconds on one of the California Superbike School coach bikes, a stock 2023 BMW S1000RR, fitted with Metzeler Racetec RR DOT approved tyres. So I captured two laps on video where we had a clear run after student coaching had been completed.

Very impressive! Were those racetec k3s and did you use warmers? Ive got the same setup… good to see I’ve got room to improve without going to track day tyres

Thanks mate, no warmers, this was on a Superbike school bike so we just don't have the time when coaching. I just take a couple of laps to warm them up as much as I can and they are good to go. Hard acceleration and braking in a straight line helps to do that. We are running a K2 on the front and K3 on the rear, seems to be a pretty good combo doing what we do.
