Do you want REAL jazz/soul from the Righteous Brothers? Mainly sung from Bill Medley [baritone] Well what are you waiting for? It is called "I Just Want to Make Love to You." *OH THEY TREASURED THE FEMALE ALL RIGHT* !! "I don't want you to be no slave ...."
There will never be another two like these guys. What is it about the 60’s and 70’s that gave us some of the best Rock&Blues ever created. 🤷🏻♂️😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Back in the day we did treasure our woman. She was the only one and she was the one who you sang to especially when a song came on the radio that showed how you felt about her. And songs back then didn't have profanity and disrespectful lyrics or talked bad about woman. Music lead to marriage and family and a long happy life together.
I completely agree with you Fred. We treated her like the Queen she really is and our hearts desire in every way. This music led to marriage, children, and a life together forever in love. Any problem can be fixed if the man leads by communicating how much that woman means to him, that he is lost without her, and that he needs her more than anything.
When Bill starts speaking my goose bumps get goose bumps. I've been listening to these talented men since I was a child over 60 years now. Loved them then and still do.
This song is absolutely beautiful. Lord have mercy did they know how to sing just to you! So talented and precious not inappropriate just simple but powerful.
This lady really feels the music. And I am someone who also loves the way these artists performed this song. For some of us there is a religious respect for romantic love. We get it!!
Yes, my lovely, I know this song. The Righteous Brothers were a mainstay of my musical upbringing in the 60s and 70s. Bill Medley's baritone and Bobby Hatfield's tenor are so perfectly matched that their singing could break your heart. One of the greatest duos ever. SO happy you loved this song. I'm with you!!
@@DrewsClues Oh, please do find the Everly Brothers, who preceded the Righteous Brothers by several years. In fact, the Everly Brothers would be considered as some of the pioneers of rock 'n roll, and no one has ever surpassed them when it comes to beautiful close and precise harmonies. They influenced everyone who followed them, including the Beatles. I probably enjoy the Righteous Brothers just a bit more because they put more depth of emotion into their music, but the Everly Brothers aren't getting very many reactions, and that's a shame because they shouldn't be missed. You're gonna love 'em!
I am 72 and these songs bring back so many memories and now the women now can feel what we felt back in the 60's!! They were just so special......amazing!
They don't have beautiful music like this anymore. There's no longer respect taught in our culture or music. It's amazing when I see young ladies reacting to this kind of music, the look of emotion on their faces is priceless, to think of a man talking and singing these kinds of words to them, they look like they could melt, lol.
I love this group and the oldies. They actually sang with emotions and heart. Not like this music of today. And they did it natural with no auto tune. I like sending my girl songs like this and singing them to her. Even though I can't sing lol
In a few months I will be married to fantastic lady. I play this song for her often. I love the way you speak of respect for a lady. Too often folks marry but do not commit to each other. Thank you dear lady and thanks to the brothers.
Another excellent reaction to The Righteous Brothers!!! You may want to react to another one of their songs titled: "I Just Want To Make Love To You" because they always deliver the Heat & the Fire!!!
@@DrewsClues You're absolutely right, it is an intense title and you will get to experience another side of the soulful variety that The Righteous Brothers bring to the musical table!!! By the way, your reactions are priceless, you crack me up (in a good way) especially when you have difficulty containing yourself because that romantic old school music has a way of getting to you and you are so sincere with your expressions toward it!!!
I absolutely love you reaction. I've watched so many reviewing the Righteous Brothers and every woman has absolutely been just bowled over by their romance. Their voices are crack for our ears! I'd do anything those men requested because of the respect and love.
Yes, I wish currently society Be those hey days. Truly were innocent, pure , simple, and totally respectful!! 🎙️🎶🎼. I wouldn't mind be living In those much happier Times! Wish could bring Back those GOLDEN hey days again!! Warmest Regards Linda M Cinnamond 🙋🤗💜
I was only a kid, but I loved the 60s and the music. I would put my transister radio under my pillow at night and listen to these songs until I went to sleep. Knew all the words to the songs. There were real men back in those days!
Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, the greatest husband/wife writing team ever...You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling, Soul and Inspiration, Brown Eyed Woman and so many others. They wrote these last three for the Righteous Brothers. Thanks, you two are the best!
Having seen her reactions to this song & Tom Jones. Makes my heart smile. GOD BLESS, stay happy, and continue to react to the music I grew up with. I'm 70 yr's old. Now she needs to hear the GOD FATHER OF SOUL, the one, the only JAMES BROWN.
You're not crazy... "50k thumbs up" !! well me too !! This was "our song" in 1966, when we graduated HS. I'm 75 years young, and watch this reaction, almost every morning to start my day. Keep it up !!
Bobby was an old fashioned guy. He adored his wife who was ill with lupus. He took care of her. He even tried to collect money for the disease. She felt the same about him. She died a few years after him at 58. Soulmates.
October 27, 1967. The Andy Williams Show. The handsomest, most talented Tenor ever heard, Never forgot him, I was totally in love. And last year was so so happy to find them on you tube on Andy Williams Show.
First time I'm watching this ladies reaction to this song. You sound so genuine it touched me deeply. You now have a new subscriber. You sound sincere and so honest it comes true in your voice and reaction to this song. You are wonderful. I'm glad I clicked on this video. I got carried away just like you did. Spectacular reaction. Loved it. I'm a big country music fan. Didn't expected your reaction to this song.
Love your feeling for and interpretation of the music. Even more....so nice to see you appreciating the good old days....when a love between and man and woman was pure and real. Much love for you.
drew, I have one question for you. Where are these kind of singers today? I was blessed as far as music goes. I was born in 1943 so I was in my early 20's when these guys were popular. There were dozens of great singers at that time. And on top of all that we had Motown too. I just want you to know I love your reactions. Would you do a reaction to Home Free -- When a Man loves a Woman
Oh, I wish there was more of this now. I saw that home free, whom I love by the way did when a man loves a woman’s and we have it in que...I will be doing that very soon. I will dedicate it to you Arnold.❤️
Everything you said, you nailed it! I love them both but Bill Medley's baritone gives me *chills*! Bill Medley was still touring or working in Vegas, last I heard. Sadly, Bobby Hatfield passed away. Bill works with a younger guy now, don't know how good he is, but I'm sure Bill knows how to pick a partner!😊
It was Bobby who lifted the In to the great" category. Bobby could sing anything. Bill sang the tune on many. watch; Bring it on home to me; Summertime, Somewhere so many hours of the great Bobby.
Love all of your Righteous Brothers reactions. They are so much fun. Its pretty obvious you love the love songs. We know you already know the Bee Gees. Can we convince you to try a different genre of love song like Crosby Stills and Nash love songs: "Our House", "Helplessly Hoping", or "Suite Judy Blue Eyes"?
I just love your honest reactions. I can see your heart just melt when Bill Medley puts his "soul" into those baritone notes! They are awesome together and separately. But, the SOUL, is all in Bill's voice! Keep those reaction vids coming, I enjoy watching you!
I had the honor of growing up in the 50's & 60's, that is what you call Soul music, they just walked out and sang, no lights or fireworks. That's good old days
They are still amazing and you were wonderful with your reactions you s till need to hear you will never walk alone, somewhere, summertime , the prayer , my girl , only you the list goes on.... thank you
These two guys singing move you and they did me back in the day. When I hear the last part of this song it almost brings a tear to my eye remembering and missing those great years now long gone. Being a baritone myself, I always hummed along with the last part of this beautiful song trying to stay in tune with Bill Melody and always will.
This is my favorite Righteous Brothers song. One of those "I wish I'd wrote that" songs. Try listening to their recording of I Just Wanna Make Love To You, where Bill takes his deep, soulful voice to new levels.
Wonderful reaction to a superb song. I got to see them in concert in the late 90's (San Antonio) They didn't show their age. They sounded as fabulousas whe5n I first heard them on the radio in 1964-
At the school dances in the 60s, when the Righteous Brothers came on, it was a slow dance and the boys got their chance to feel a girl's body against them. It is amazing how well I still remember those feelings.
Nothing but puuuure remance! Loved these guys since I first heard them in the beginning of their career. Yep, that makes me 72, and I still believe in romance. 😍
Mommy Drew... When you have QUALITY voices like this emanating from the Drew Dome.... I am ALL EARS my dear woman ✋️😉🤚 Their voices speak to EVERYONE who truly listens to them ✊️😄. Take care & much love always from 🇦🇺Australia🇦🇺❤️❤️❤️
@@DrewsClues ... I’m always happy to stop by & say “hi”, or as we say here: - “g’day ✋️😄” 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺. I’m keeping myself busy looking after my dear lady (my significant other) in the lead up to “delivery day” (🍼👶🍼).... Just on 4 months to go now. Everything is set to go... All we’re waiting for now is the little one to make his or her appearance ❤️🤞😁🤞❤️
Hey Drew-- Check out the album "Standards" by the guys... Bill Medley sings solo on one section and Bobby Hatfield sings solo on the other. You WILL be blown away... I really enjoy your reaction site...
Unchained Melody by the incomparable Bobby Hatfield was and is the most beautiful song in history as far as I'm concerned. We lost Bobby way too soon and he'll never be replaced.
These guys melted us. I was 15 yrs old when these guys came out. OMG I still melt when I hear them sing. They were so awesome. I cry when i hear them. Brings back so many memories when I was a teenager. ❤❤❤❤
I was just 14 when I heard this song. I have never forgotten slow dancing with my boyfriend to their songs. Yes, I felt protected, loved and cherished. It was dreamy. A different era. I was fortunate to have grown up then. I'm 72 now, and I still feel the same lovely feelings that I had then. I love your comments. Perfect.
Great reaction to the blue-eyed soul that is The Righteous Brothers. The words you hear in this song ARE genuine as you say. This song and these words are from a bygone era when women were treated with respect and honor. Sadly, these words or anything like them are rare and difficult to find today. How far we have fallen.
My friend was absolutely right when she said, “ Bill Medley’s hauntingly deep, rich baritone voice shakes me to my very soul, and Bobby Hatfield’s sweet, smooth tenor voice sends chills through my spine. Their harmony is unmatched.”
Your so right! What woman wouldn’t want to be told this & instantly be back with them. Men back then did know how to treat a woman they loved. They cherished them, respected them. I know, I’m now a 68 woman. Not like now a days. I’ve watched reviews of the Righteous Brothers done by men (more boy than anything) most don’t respect them as true artists & laugh at them for feeling that way. Guess that’s why their in so many failed relationships. Take note of the hair also. No shaved heads, no slicked back, greasy (never want to run your fingers thru that) hair. And it’s still as sexy today as it was back then.
Back in my Saturday nights at the SockHop period, the very last song played was always a Righteous Brother's song....Every girl in the place, and I mean every girl, all ran around grabbing guys to slow-dance with them....I always obliged....For the thousandth time, thank you, Bill and Bobby....................................By the way, they got the name Righteous Brothers from a concert at which, after hearing a couple of their so soulful songs, some guy yelled out "You're Righteous Brothers!".....Also, Cher (don't think the video is clear enough to spot her) was one of those back-up singers in "You've lost that lovin' feeling".
that is how it was back in my day - songs expressed respect and kindness towards woman - and we were treated so much better than what I see these days.
