Mate's name will be written in the automotive history alongside those of Ettore Bugatti and Ferdinand Porsche.

Svake pohvale Mate na ovom poslovnom uspjehu! Mnogo sam sretan da je jedan čovjek iz male i ne zamjetne zemlje (do sad) poput Hrvatske da je uspio na svjetskoj sceni automobilizma! Sjećam se od 2006 tamo negdje kad sam čitao o tebi u Auto Klubu kad si sastavio svoju BMW eM3 zelenu kockicu a pogledaj gdje si danas. Da mogu skinuo bih kapu ispred tebe i dao ti ruku jer ako iko zaslužuje pohvale u Hrvatskoj, to si ti! Nije lako uspjeti u takvoj državi gdje vlada korupcija i političari kojih nije bilo briga da ti daju novčanu potporu, nego samo par lijepih riječi. Svaka ti čast, mnogo sam ponosan na odakle dolazim, neka sam Srbin, ali sam Srbin iz Hrvatske koji je ponosan da je bar neko na Balkanu uspio na ovakav način, jer kad neko tako uspije, kao da sam ja sam uspio u životu. If you think about it, it somehow was logical, that the most innovative inventor and innovator in the new electric hypercar area, Mate Rimac, comes from the same country, Croatia, like the famous inventor Nikola Tesla 100 years ago.

That's probably like the smartest move Volkswagen has ever done. Many years back the heads of VW were like "Electric vehicles? They will never be a thing!" Meanwhile, Tesla smashed the competition completely and when VW bought a Tesla via a subcontractor, they disassembled the car and realized they're around 6 years behind Tesla. Doing a partnership with Rimac (I always pronounced it wrong :D) that will probably provide good technology for Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, will assure VW keeps the top spot in the automotive world. Very good business decision
