The point was to prove to ring support that the speaker in fact had a issue since they could not prove it remotely. They agreed and replaced the device.
Oh pardon me youtubers.. The soluton was to get a replacement. Amazon/Ring sent me a old refurb unit that was 1 gen older than my present one.. it was DOA upon arrival. They sent me a brand new unit and that fixed it.. all within the 1 year warranty. I suspect, I will buy my own private system down the road.. Good day RU-vidrs and Happy 2021, hope you all keep safe.
I have just ordered a ring door bell mine does the same thing when I talk into it makes so much echo and it repeats itself I hope it’s not the doorbell because I have paid a lot of money for it I hope there is a way to fix it without paying for anything 😞
I've checked everywhere and there appears to be nowhere to lower it in the app. You think you have a problem? Mine is located in an apartment hallway lol.
You can only adjust the volume in the Pro version. The two-way communication is way too loud that you can hear it across the street. I have been searching for a way to dampen the volume. Maybe some tape on the speaker? A cloth wrapped around it?
I installed RING doorbell yesterday and having similar issue. Doorbell speaker volume is VERY LOW and somewhat garbled. Turned "ringer" volume slider all the way up on the app. Didn't help. I checked WiFi signal at the doorbell location and it is strong. Reset the doorbell with side button. Called customer support and after 45 minutes of trouble shooting they are sending me a new doorbell. Hope it's a faulty unit problem...
I've been having the same issues. By any chance do you have bluetooth permanently activated on your phone? I believe this may be the issue. I did a test where I switched Bluetooth off on my phone then got my daughter to test the doorbell. The quality was fine. Switched bluetooth back on during the same conversation and it went all distorted and choppy again. Weird. I'm trying to raise this with Ring and if you have any smart wearable devices these days, you most likely have bluetooth switched on permanently
Your internet or your cellular is no fast enough to run it ... get a fast internet speed. That will sort the laggy speaking to each other. Simple .........
