I neither play nor like Draven in any way, but goddamn is that buff FLAVOURFUL! Like seriously why are buffs always aligned with changing numbers on abilities when they could add cool gimmicks/conditionals that align with the character traits?
@@bagonwali That's it? Do you know how massive of a buff that would be to a champion who can literally build whatever the F he wants and still do a shit ton of damage already just by hitting his abilities? Auto attacks are free, and he has plenty of range to launch them. Getting 2 AP for every auto attack would probably double his AP gain from his passive. We'd have like 1500 AP Veigars running around one shotting people with Qs, or 700 AP full tank Veigars running around half healthing people with his Qs.
Azir is either very broken or useless and because od his high skill floor he could have 30% overall win rate and 60% win rate in high elo with 100% pick ban in pro play
@@michakrupowicz8901 Who cares if low elo players can't play Azir? That's why they're in the low elo, to learn and get better. Stuff should always be balanced around how they are played at their most optimal, aka challenger+ and pro play
Healing is only allowed when Irelia can 1v9 at level 14 and has a Q that heals, activates bork, grants attack speed, and shoots a fork from your monitor to your eyes
If Riot REALLY wants Lucian and Senna in the bot lane together they could've just put in some direct synergy between the two characters as a bonus like Xayah and Rakan have, instead of forcing Lucian to need a support to get the most out of his kit.
They synergize pretty well with each other already and they already said they're not making synergies like xayah and rakan because that would make less unique of an interaction and the champs would lose meaning. It's a direct buff as Senna has 3 BUFFS IN HER KIT a Heal, a Shield and a Camouflage that's as much as directed it can get
Ngl, either this is going to be one of the most fun or one of the worst patch in league Either way I'm here waiting with my popcorn when this all blows up
It's not like they explicitly removed her from being a jungler about two months after she came out because, like with Sylas, the idea of someone being able to jungle or go mid is too much fun for players to handle
@@samcraig8533 She should've been a jungler in the first place IMO, using the different terrain types to modify her abilities makes way more sense because she has frequent access to all 3 in the jungle.
@@100organicfreshmemes5 Totally agree. Same with Sylas, I play him jungle and it's so much fun having to weigh up different ults in different lanes to figure out which lane is best to gank, and being able to use E to jump around over walls is so free. But instead he's constantly crippled and basically acts as a worse version of Ekko who takes 10x the work for the same reward.
Please no hate on me, for me I think if they changed his q to be like that is fine if he can't stunned the same enemy 3 times but if they did like that that is like stunning the same champs for YEARS and they can't do anything about it at all and it would be a no for me if they did him dirty like that y?..... I do play him sometimes now stop playing for 2 years and see changes like that happens to that champs or any champs would be a burden to others w/ the peoples that played him long and it's own kit for the champ. My opinion :(
They're willing to sacrifice how the game FEELS for every single player in order to improve how it LOOKS for tournaments. Another thing they do is do a change, usually a nerf, it's clearly bad and then fix it much later on or add something blatantly stronger and never give it the nerf that they gave the original. Remember removing Aatrox's revive? Well fuck you, now we have Akshan, who can revive his entire team instantly. Remember everyone hating on Akali because of her stealth after the rework? Well, lets create Qiyana who could perma stealth right in your face.
@@d4s0n282 I much rather the game that i'm playing feels better to play than to watch pros playing because the balancing is clearly focused specifically on making tournaments more interesting to watch. I don't give the slightest fuck about having good memories of pro games if, when I play the damn thing, it feels like crap because the changes aren't designed to make the game feel better.
@@d4s0n282 Good memories of a pro games won't be worth anything if everytime to go into a game you already want to leave because you know it won't be fun.
@@d4s0n282 as a player ? Every time I see a cycle of changes like this, I just picture this: "I shoot you with my laser! you're dead!" "nuh uh! I have a forcefield!" "Nuh uh stupid, I shot you with an anti-forcefield laser!" "No dummy, this isn't a NORMAL forcefield! It's immune to lasers!" "Well my laser is special! It's immune to all forcefields anyway!" And so on and so forth.
We've hit the curve, nothing is impossible now. We'll start at true healing and from there it'll go like this; true antihealing, true armor, true magic damage etc. There's no stopping the ride when it starts
The fact that LoL was released in 2009, is a multi billion dollar franchise now but Riot still doesn't have any solution to balance pro play separately from casual play is absolutely mind-boggling to me. Why the fuck are casual players being constantly shafted so that pros stop using the same 3 champions in mid lane?
As a humble Aatrox main, I understood only one thing from these patch notes: If I was f***ed against good Singed before, I am now f***ed quadruple more times. Soraka change is nice though, but I don’t think I’ll see one wherever I play my main. That’s just how it goes for me at least.
At the very least I can promise you we Singed players will make those disgusting Irelia and Riven players tilt to oblivion. More than we already did anyway.
@@tehrik0020 1. we Humble Aatrox players we mind our own business destroying worlds peacefully, unless any meta champion comes to slap our frail heal dependant champion
Ye it seems like everytime he says simething negative he continues with "its good/it changes the meta so its good/it puts this caracter into the meta so its good" Looks like he's being held at gunpoint
My favorite screwup by Riot is how they didn't put any of the actual ruination champions in the ruination event (Yorick, Kalista, Hecarim etc) instead Aksha who no one cares about takes the spotlight.
Lúcian: dominating the meta for ages, already has a good passive, rather than nerfs gets buffs and adjustments so he fits his role. Aurelion Sol: Has high win rate due to his 0.8% play rate, never or rarely shines in worlds or any competitions, whose entire playerbase was mad at changes that were never reverted and whose passive is so weak that it equals "he can't hide in bushes", gets nerfs rather than adjustments.
@@Jake7105 almost as if games don't last long enough for Lucian to get 47 shots of his ulti and deal 1800+ damage in a single one normally. Damn, who'd have known, the champ that scales late game with his ulti doesn't win games before getting to late game if they're not good at the game
@@EddieB-ready his early was far to strong, I stomp nearly every game because of his insane burst dmg, and decent sustained dmg and he hard scales. He 100% needed nerfs and he's still really strong

@@tiagoferreira234 I lost a game to a 3/12 Irelia that went full life steal and by the end of the game we weren't able to kill her because she healed so much. That BS
Soraka ultimate seriously needed healing reduction cleanae - grevious wounds were messing around with her power fantasy and made her ultimate unnoticable at times so I am very excited over the changes.
I feel like having true heal should be something exclusive to her, I seriously hope they do not expand this to other champions. Soraka is the dedicated healer enchanter support, it should be her and her own personal niche to do such a thing.
i agree on both of these statements, Support + healer is a though role in this game and really not fun at times, Let soraka players have some fun and be impactful please
by that crazy Logic Aatrox should be able to cleanse healing cut in his ultimate since it does mess around his power fantasy, or Karma should have true shields
@@streptococo4735 any logic will be absurd in the end if you push it to the extreme. What we’re discussing about is nothing crazy. If you cut in half soraka heals on her super long CD ultimate the concept of the champ weakens drastically considering her regular heals take part of her HP and she’s very fragile. on the other hand if you cut in half karmas shield she’s still able to group shield her team every 10 sec late game and perma shield one allies nonetheless and it doesn’t cost her anything. The champ is still good lol
@@streptococo4735 Aatrox is a bruiser who's fantasy is being the center of attention during fights/war, getting hit by enemies and sustaining his injuries while wreaking havoc, his main theme isn't healing, it's sustain, it's deeply ingrained in him and his core to his character that he will survive by inflicting pain onto others, but the keyword is survive. And some sustain and increased sustain during ult time does the job very well on the theme side. Soraka on the other hand is all about healing others, even though she has to inflict herself self-harm to heal, she has three dedicated spells to healing and one that his meant to rush by the side of those in need, she is the banana healer for those who wish to heal instead of dps, as such, true heal wouldn't be out of theme for her, tho it do be op as an in-game mechanic, so temporary removing GW from your teammates with her ultimate is a very good compromise and will help her strive in a time where she isn't performing that greatly
Play Sett with ignite into him. Its basically a free lane. E him when he tries to walk away and hold your w til you see him wind up his ult. Or use it if you're certain it'll kill him. Use flash to reposition if W isn't gonna land. I main Sett and he wants long fights. Darius thrives in em, Sett likes em more.
@@mr.mystery9338 Depends, if he gets less stacks from a killed unit, maybe not. They could also play with the numbers, making the stacks not translate into bonus damage in a 1:1 ratio. Like, example, 1 stack=0.5 bonus physical damage, effectively doubling the needed amount for the same damage, but therefore opening space for granting him special perks at certain points in stacking.
@Jasix the only 2 things in this game that got me mad like EVERY league youtuber was the re-rework on lb and the rework on mordekaiser, and i play this game since s2
With Soraka it's a must. It's annoying to ult and have the ult do nothing because everyone has gravious wounds. Like, there's selecting a proper counter to your champion. And there's every random champ with 800 gold/ignite making your ult become small buff+assist farm at best.
Grievous wounds does nothing. There's so much healing in the game and a full grievous item does literally nothing. Still full healing in 2 autos. That's not even considering Champs like aatrox. Healing needs to be toned back

@@LordValdomerol maybe not entirely in terms of balance, but that's just sticking to what Riot is known for. I more so meant that card designs are cool and the art is amazing. (Also it's a very expensive card. If they were to make it fast speed instead so you could at least Deny it or smth, then it'd be balanced)
Riots feet are riddled with holes: Spell vamp was an issue - release vlad. Nidalee spear damage deemed toxic - release zoe. Healing too strong - buff ignite - then buff healing again. Every time there is a big problem with the game they exemplify it. Those examples are from top of my head but I'm sure there are more.
This is how riot solves each problem as metaphor. "X champion right now clears jungle to fast. So were buffing the jungle and reducing smite damage" And repeat when 10 new issues comes from that
Akali's stealth is too good. They nerf it, then release Qiyana, who was even worse. Revive is too broken. They remove it, along with the infamous removal of Aatrox's revive, then launch Akshan, who can revive his entire team just by killing whoever killed them. Multiple times they nerf assassins only to add a new one/rework one to be flatout superior and ignore the nerfs. Same with burst characters.
Since Quinn's ult doesn't get more damage as level increases, if she hits multiple champs with volley marking them all, hitting one champ that is marked should activate all marks instantly. My girl needs more then a higher movement speed ult.
When Viego came out I had a lenghty conversation with a couple guys about why I thought that Sunderer would be great on him, and I was heavily criticised because everyone was building Krakenslayer. Well, last patch they nerfed his Sunderer build while buffing the crit, because everyone was using my strategy. People are slaves to the meta.
@@RenShinomiya121 I hate crit viego. He feels soooo squishy. He’s supposed to be an in your face duelist but he’s in a weird spot now where you need to catch people off position to get a pick. I miss old sunderer viego. RIP.
back when they nerfed him to 3 barrels, there wasnt as much mobility and ways to dodge the barrels. now there is. its fine to give him scaling up to 5 barrels
@@AzureRoxe i mean we do have loads of ranged top laners with some mobility and people playing shut like yone who can just dodge it top, same as aatrox who can just dodge
What I want is a Cho buff that designates him as the tankiest most unkillable chanp in the game. I want him to have bonus resistances that scale with his Feast stacks. For every stack he gains 10/15/20 flat Armor/MR. There's so much damage in the game that he just gets melted so this Passive on his ultimate should revive him pretty effectively.
They should just give champ size actual bonuses. That would not only improve cho, but also incentivise another stat for other tanks to build. And the proplem he has atm isn't gonna be solved with resistances. The problem this season is that items have more % dmg and true dmg than ever. Bruisers are busted atm because their items aren't that expensive, they get tons of hp but also decent amounts of ad. Tank items are hella expensive while not really giving more hp than bruiser items with no additional dmg. So carries with %dmg and 30-40% pen will burn through resistance anyway while the tank can't do anything about it. Meanwhile bruisers are able to tank just enough and have enough sustain so that they can kill their enemy before they get killed.
Ignite is here since forever and it gives that amount. Kled has 80% on q i believe. I think it's still more balanced than viego healing for 1200 in one reset while you can't damage him
I kinda liked Singed one. He didn't want like any of the grevious wound items. And in favor of Soraka I can say that buffing heal would have broke her, so, since the only thing She can do is heal, at least she can heal for the full amount
I think people need to remember the change only affects her ultimate, not her W. And you can just reapply the GW right after she ults. Ultimate abilities SHOULD be powerful. I don't think it's balanced when a character's ultimate which actually has quite a long cooldown gets countered by one 800 gold item.
@@dmb1745 yes, furthermore, her basic kit is quite situational. It makes even more sense for an ulti to be powerfull if the rest of the abilitire are bad
@@dmb1745 yeah it doesnt do shit, i wish antiheal stacked. champs that heal massively normally like sylas, aatrox, yuumi, soraka, ext ext many more healing based champs its a fucking joke how useless the item is, and thats not even coming from me. That simple. if antiheal stacked i woulve bought thornmail/morrelos/and mortal reminder in the same damn champ. its pathetic how broken healing is. example: im playing against sylas mid, me having ignite AND MORELLOS okay, here me out. i won the trade very well and when im about to kill him i ignited WHILE HAVING OBLIVION ORB BTW MEANING HE SHOULDNT HEAL man heals for half of his health still. If you think healing is weak you are special in the head
Thank the Legends of Runeterra community for their contribution on this, they spent almost 4 months with nothing but Trundle/Lissandra and Azir/Irelia dominating the meta with no counterplay only to be greeted by a patch that changed 2 whole things, it got so bad that all the major content creators were threatening to just walk out and quit so they forced Riot to completely re-evaluate their entire balancing philosophy which eventually lead to the Bandlewood expansion which is by far the best expansion the game has seen yet.
I really hope they notice Rek'Sai, a change I've wanted for so long is her bite to have a lower cooldown / reset on takedown, or maybe consider giving her her AoE knockup back. I'd love to see her back on the pro scene!
I love reksai's gameplay and visuals, but i dont play her because she feels too much of a "oneshot one enemy, then you die too" vibe. The E reset sounds so good.
I must say the idea of anti-anti-heal is hilarious. Reminds me of the jokes everyone made about season 11 "true healing" coming soon. Reality is stranger than fiction.
I've watched the video twice and have seen 0 mention of the anti heal and more healing, can you time stamp it, literally the only reason I clicked on this video.
I feel like Rito's balance "team" is just made up of unpaid fresh batches of interns every patch, and I mean they change the team per patch because they never make any fucking sense chronologically like how they just brought back 5 barrel GP
i dont like the "get back to where we designed you for" approach that they have from season 8, i love the idea playing anything any lane, god forbid if any support champ picked for another role or any other champ picked for support; i say it like this cuz im a support main, but you get it like why an AD cant be played mid why kaisa cant be played jg, cuz riot wants them out not that ppl enjoy them; yes if any of these uncommon picks dominate their non primary role they must be nerfed but if those plays were nonpunishable, as a support main i sometimes play like 2 ad's in bot like ash support or mf support it's not like it has no counter a good gank can simply end the game for this bot ad supports; but it takes time for players to figure out. i love to see flex picks are somewhat back. i remember days of senna wukong, days of 4 support and smite adc, 4~5 way flex picks those pro games are fun to watch, but this split i didnt had fun watching it was same bans same picks for majority of games and nothing chaotic like before. i was curious about thumbnail and was hoping to see what happened for those two champs, was hopping skooch cover them too. i maybe have too read bunch of stuff
I wholeheartedly agree, and it's one of the reasons I dropped the game entirely after playing for 11 years. I'm someone who's always loved trying different things in the game. Used to love playing certain ADCs mid or top. Used to love doing "weird" stuff in bot like ADC Teemo or ADC Orianna with supp Lissandra. The way the game is currently doesn't really allow for experimentation anymore, and it's obvious that they have been focusing more on keeping the meta-focused players and pro players happy than they care for the more casual audience. The Lucian changes make me glad that I dropped the game.
you do realise that there's one big problem with that thought? its that champions are balanced for one role so they might be balanced there but broken in other lane (like lucian and vayne top were at one point because riot forced them to be meta champs in botlane)
Yeah I liked how early league was kind of a wild west; everyone could do what they wanted as long as they could pull off their task. Now it's "YOU are a SUPPORT; you go to BOT LANE and LIKE IT." Or "YOU are a JUNGLER; YOU DO NOT LANE, EVER." Champions often feel pigeonholed into a role and GOD FORBID you find a way to play that champ effectively outside its intended role or the nerfs and team rage will crash down upon you like a thundering storm of divine vengeance. Ever seen a Sivir go mid? It was probably me...and I probably spell shielded three out of every four spells. Riot: "WE CAN'T HAVE THAT NOW, CAN WE?"
This is one of the best things I like in DOTA 2, the fact that any hero can play any lane and pretty much any role. I wish Riot copied the good things from there, too ;w;
@@therealbahamut Oh yeah, definitely. I still played Morgana mid up until the last few patches I played. I even jungled as her a few times before jungle Morgana became meta, and I had people dodge queue because they thought the idea of a support jungling was dumb and that I was trolling. It's a game, I miss when people played just for fun. Nowadays it's hard to find people who aren't hyper competitive even in normal matches (could depend on region, but still). And finding out how to make champions viable in roles they weren't made for was part of the fun for me.
Draven is Fun and not gonna change a lot in soloQ. Dravens in our mortal game Goes 80/0 pra 0/80 so they not gonna have that giant amount of stacks like his professional counterpart
It was so obvious that Riot would make changes for the pro scene, but any time I ever said it all the people smoking that copium would give me shit for it. And now Riot just flat out admits it.
I'd love for the laning phase to be longer unless the teams do everything to shorten it. Like, if you play bad you get to play longer and if you complete some objectives you get to end faster. Rift is a cool example. If a jg gets a rift early, ganks on a strong wave then you can ussualy take tower. Incentivise it even more. Right now jg in low elo revolves around ganking. Imo the game should be more about objectives.
I stopped playing this game some time ago and every new patch there seems to be something so humongously broken, it's pretty funny and sad at the same time
The thing with Gangplank is, that bis bulky build got nerfed so he basically has to build squishy and crit to be strong, however what he doesn't have now, what he did before is Kleptomancy, which was absolutely broken on him since it gave him a way to shorten his terrible early game, by supplying him with an immense amount of money making it so he would basically finish his second item when his opponent finished their first item only from playing lane passive and safe, now he still suffers from his early game, which can easily be abused by many toplaners, especially junglers, and in midlane he will never have lane priority so his lane opponent can easily outgank him especially since he misses the tools for proactive ganking, so in general the gangplank changes were actually a nerf.
I like when leauge is fucked up, I love seeing random champions being op, but if it's more for 2-3 patches it gets boring. I like that they want to shake up the meta for a few days.
The Draven one is hilarious, I love it! Fits the lore and also encourages last hitting/catching axes more. A buff that can't be felt unless you are good at doing Draven things in-game.
as a marskman player, changes like these just make me sad. it has felt like riot wants to do everything in their power to remove marskman from the game
10:45 The GP changes are the best thing that could have happened to him. Let me explain. Riot knew these changes would extre nerf gp, however removing the unfun and uninteractive Q-pressing allows to free more ways for them to buff him somewhere else. And imo they took a step in the right direction when buffing the barrels. Gangplank's "thing" is that he has this barrel minigame. This is what defines the character. Not the Q-spam in lane. Riot chose to put emphasis on the uniqueness of gp's kit, and I for one like that. Now, he's currently severaly underpowered, sitting at a measly 42% winrate according to u.gg, however I believe (and hope) that riot will buff him back up in following patches in a way that gives him his uniqueness back, like just after his rework. I don't want to play a boring press Q walk back, wait cd press Q walk back and repeat; I want to play the unique barrel-minigame champion. It's more fun, it's more unique, it's more skill-expressive.
I want a Blitzcrank rework. He needs something like Morgana. No drastic changes to his kit but more of a visual adjustment. His P, W and R could need some more synergy but nothing super new.
As an Aatrox main, I have managed to learn the Singed matchup over the course of 2 years to the point that I can reliably beat an Singed with at least a 65% lane winrate. One of my friends is a Singed player and swears that Aatrox loses to Singed every time I move into a lane with Singed as my enemy, and claims 'he's just a bad singed' every time I manage to stomp them. Are you able to comprehend how angry I am that they are rewarding a champ whose entire concept is 'right click' and destroy all my hard work
its actually interesting because there is no debuff removal in the game (like removing the ad reduction from trundle Q trynd W or morde R stat steal) so rhese are the first ability (soraka R) that actually removes debuffs
@@zinnia4516 yes its literally the only spell in the game that removes a debuff not (not speaking of removal from crowd control etc.) even cleanse removes only the damage part of ignite and QSS doesnt even care if you ahve grievous wounds
"Nerfing things that shouldn't be nerfed, they're buffing things that shouldn't be buffed..." I don't know about you but to me it sounds they're doing their damn hardest to kill the game O_O
Something I talked about with a buddy is if they just did not allow the top 10 most popular characters every other week from champ select in ranked this would force players to learn more characters, mix up the meta, and also would grant a style of back and forth week to week that would require both skill and relearning the meta without removing the meta.
they're now forcing how and where the META should shift. it would be even funnier to see that teams would adapt to counter that meta Riot wanted and would pick some odd champs that riot would miss after the patch 11.18 which would be funny because RIOT can't change anything after a certain period unless a game breaking bug occurs.
GP q ranged attack was a necessary change imo. Too op to give someone that shoots you from 625 range (25 less than caitlyn's auto range!!!) a full grasp proc.
Is there really nothing in Lucian's lore that implies that he desires companionship? The guy chasing his wife for 6 years? The guy who's fought alongside weirdos like Olaf and MF in the Bilgewater Ruination event?
Honestly, if Riot just removed Grevious Wounds altogether, they could balance healing more consistently Currently, buying that is mandatory since almost all melee champions have 30%+ lifesteal from runes and items, making healers redundant and everything else unfun to play
I feel, grievous wounds should be reworked. They should be a good counter against lifesteal/omnivamp and not nearly as good at shutting down actual healing abilities. They should be an item choice against an item/rune choice, not meant to make overtuned champion kits bearable.
@@pesci20002010 By balancing their stats and/or focusing them. I basically want healer strength to be independent from self-heal strength. Healing spells are fundamentally less broken than lifesteal or omnivamp. Healing spells take a place up in the champion kit, cost ressources to cast and can be prevented by killing/stunning/silencing the healer. Omnivamp and lifesteal on the other hand does not cost you ressources to cast, does not have cooldowns and cannot be prevented by other means, nor can it be easily balanced by stat changes without having major implications on 20+ champions.
this game has been going downhill for 5+ years it is just full of meta slave players. Sorry but meta slave players are why games die because they remove the fun for any actually highly skilled players who play off meta champs. can't even count the number of times I utterly trash a meta slave and still lose because they just start split pushing all game. Have even made it fairly high in ranked but outcome is always the same takes ages to climb using off meta champs because the rest of the player base only use meta champs. There are way better games to play now due to this game being full of meta slaves. Not even to talk about the fact riot whores itself out to the pro players only. forget the fact that grevious wounds is absolutely useless on any champ that heals for % damage dealt, % of self max health. nunu, vlad, ww etc. even when they get the "60%" heal reduction that still get hundreds of health off 1 ability. shocking that riot still can't manage to make grevious wounds actually useful. also lets not even talk about the fact that you can counter any ad champ almost entirely with just armor boots but you can't counter a mage with 6 mr items.
I actually kinda like these changes tbh. As a Dota player, it may happen that randomly some heroes just gets new abilities, ult and basic abilities gets swapped, straight up removing items from the game or just reworking abilities or even the hero itself. It keeps the heroes and game fresh every big patch. So buffing champs by giving them new passives and reworking some abilities is a sign that the balance team is going down a good path (for normal buffs n nerfs ofc, powercreep is still very rampant in LoL with each new champ).
If the game was actually balanced you wouldn’t need “pro focused buffs” cuz everything would be equally viable. Glad I quit playing. Still love the content creators but man the game is cancer inducing
Just play Singed. If you win lane you make the enemies uninstall. If you lose lane you proxy and make the enemies uninstall. You basically cant lose with that champ I love how they buff him soon :)))
i really want to hear what you think abount soraka R changes and by changes in mean deleting grievous wounds before healing also you can talk abount vex too
With the back to back Xayah buffs I’m hoping they revert the changes and let Rakan be able to flash while in the starting animation of his R, or animation cancel to get a W knock up while in his E dash again
