His Ult scaling with crit makes me feel as if they thought that Viego's W would make him as mobile as Yasuo and that he would be tanky enough with levels to build pure crit items and he would just shred, too bad no one looked at his damn health, and I can't even tell you wtf happened with the hybrid W ap mess

I read in a Viego's development (which you can find on the wiki) two things, the first being that Viego's designer was also the one who made Senna which... yeah that one speaks for itself. More importantly however, they wanted to make sure that Viego synergized with blade of the ruined king, and in order to do this gave him his double on hit passive, fair enough the ruined king wants to buy his own weapon. However, they didn't add this double on hit passive until after the rest of his kit was already designed. They released an on hit champion who's on hit synergy was added as an afterthought. After having designed his ENTIRE kit, they decided, "The solution was to give Viego the August special: another passive. Viego’s Q is called Blade of the Ruined King, and grants him the ability to apply on-hit effects twice." If that doesn't explain why his kit feels so disconnected from an on hit carry than I don't know what else would. Huh. As a game designer wannabe I Often like to imagine how I would rework champs to make them fun (not sorta balanced but more focus on fun) and honestly... After giving it some thought. Viego E shouldn't be reworked cause it's kinda perfect. You say it's a warning to the whole world and... That's the point. Just like in the lore you see the mist coming miles away and you know what's coming. And you either are prepared or you should run. That's exactly what his E feels like. Now his W I would totally rework to tackle (basically he dashes but if he dashes against a champion he likes knocks them down) and if you charge it it would be like a Morgana Q/ Kaisa W that can go through minions and every ability would be buffed in the mist like is charged W would be way Thicker and his q would like teleport him anywhere where's a champion in the mist (like a "nothing personal kid" moment) And honestly this mini rework would make his feel like the boss he's supposed to be (maybe not the mist upgradeable stuff) Edit: his ultimate should get just a little more range and when he kills a champion they turn into ghost (old morde ult) which you have the choice of become if you want to P.S. I maybe should have commented this sooner but oh well. It's not like anyone gives a shit about my opinion

Actually, even if the enemy team builds tenacity, the 0.25 second stun is still 0.25 seconds. 1/4 second stuns are the minimum length of stun. This is why it's useless to build tenacity against kennen.

I think they confused Viego's recommended items with their new sentinel ADC.

I feel like people are really missing one thing regarding his itemization: how about Shieldbow? It helps heavily with his early survivability issues while giving him his crit scaling, decent attack speed and life steal (which scales very nicely with Conqueror + BotRK for pretty high life-steal when the shield pops) Then you go all-out on bruiser items (titanic for double procs, thornmail/force of nature/visage for specific match-ups) You don't need to escape that kha'zix when you can outheal his burst with shieldbow's Lifeline proc.

The new akshan guy gets to revive 4 people he probably doesnt know about meanwhile viego cant even revive his ONE dead wife. Sadlife

It's funny looking back at this not even patch later and seeing Viego go from bottom of the barrel to middle of the pack with specifically a kraken slayer rush despite only getting a nerf and some bugfixes

Viego possible buffs : Convert ap scaling to bonus ad Increase base and lvl up defensive stats Increase move speed Make w's stun duration scale with rank Make w's stun 0.5 to 2.25 s at all ranks Increase w's missile speed by 500 or make it scale with attack speed Increase w's dash distance with time charged+ at max time goes over walls Make E's must effect localized around Viego (something like 600 unit around him for 5 seconds) and with "lasting effect" (he leaves mist for 3 seconds) Rework his passive so he doesn't die from controlling a squishy, something like "if he uses his ult while possessing he restore his health to the amount it was before possession" (would make him survive in certain situation but also give him counter play because he couldn't possess a fast healing champ to sustain) How to not change his playstyle : Increase his burst either by bugging his crit or total ad scaling, he wants to play like a kha zix: going in the fight killing a target then invulnerable then another etc etc he has to be able to kill something. To make him have crits: -Passive health or resistance per 5% crit (max 500 or 50) could carry over to possessed enemies. -halve rank 2 through 5 W's damage, instead make it give X crit chance if it hits an enemy (scaling with time stunned) should help with combos -give E half bonus crit half bonus attack speed if fighting in the mist. -change Q double proc passive, no longer sustains but gives bonus crit on the next attack or spell against this enemy If any of those are made I think it could be a good way to make his survive but not broken, let's remind ourselves that he has 5 zhonia's per fights (10 if you count ult)

I like to imagine that Tresh would laugh his ass off seeing Viego

Imagine if his "e" looked like this: cooldown~30 sec. You drop the mist on the specified, very large area, enemys have lowered sight while in it, you gain bonus speed and you are invinsible while being in the midlle maybe some other buffs or debuffs. This gives the feeling of the ruined king spreading mist, and makes it more of an ability to change battles or to confuse enemy, delay teamfights. Kinda like Anti-quinn.

I've been playing Viego a good amount and I find that going Hail of Blades and building a Divine into BORK feels a lot better than anything else ive tried
