Took this suit (3/2) out in 52 degree water and the only thing that brought me in after an hour and a half in was the 1mm fin booties I was wearing. I’m a bodysurfer so my body is fully submerged 100 percent of the time. Wherever the suit covered my body, I was warm. Given this is only a 3/2, I find that pretty impressive for the price point. If your on a budget, prefer the flexibility of a 3/2, and live in a cold water area, this suit is pretty damn good.

A query. Which suit is better; Billabong Absolute 5/4 or Rip Curl 5/4 Dawn Patrol Hood.

Hi, I have a question for winter which one its warming dawn patrol 4/3 or E bomb 6 4/3please I need the advice before I get it .thank you

HI Julian. The Dawn Patrol Warmth would be warmer than the E-bomb. Just make sure you get the warmth version not the performance. Hope this helps

One question... i own a Dawn Patrol 2017 .. 5/3 which was totally ok for me.. means if i go on this suit.. can i pick a 4/3 because it's better warming

Hi Cem, I would say yes it will be warmer but still a 5/3 for cold waters going to be a good shout. The last thing you want is to be too cold. While being too warm is not actually a bad thing as can mean perhaps you don't need to wear gloves or a hood as soon.

There is a difference in the Dawn Patrol range. At Shore we clearly label what is warmth and what is performance so check out our site

I think we can say confidently it's going to be noticeably warmer than all previous models of the Dawn Patrol. The amount of Flash Dry thermal lining in these new Dawn Patrol Warmth will be 100% noticeable. As with all wetsuits putting a % on it is tough as there are so many factors but if you were to compare a good fitting 2018 suit to this 2019 version there would be a big jump in warmth.

@@r__b6095 100% at this price point it is the warmest suit. It won't be as warm but an O'Neill Hyperfreak with the TBX neoprene in the shoulders are worth a look as they feel fantastic on and would be more flexible but do not have the thermal lining like the Dawn Patrol. Depends really on how much you feel the cold.

I wore this mode all winter last year and it really worked well I’ve had mine now over a year and a half after use 1-2 times a week it’s not keeping me as warm this winter but for the price it’s definitely worth it

I had a flashbomb, leakage after 2 mths, lasted 6 mths,I'd never buy a rip curl wetsuit...!!!!

Hey Frank The Dawn Patrol and the Flashbomb are different suits at different very price points so hopefully at the Dawn Patrol pricepoint abit of leakage (which can happy in any suit) is a okay given the low cost for the warmth and materials you are gaining
