Rip Taylor was "one of a kind", just exceptional in every way and much underrated, no one could ever come close to the Man! He had a wonderful attitude towards people and loved what he was doing, thank you Rip for the memories.........
Rip Taylor always cracked me up. I loved his appearance in the Cheech and Chong movie from 1982 "Things Are Tough All Over". The pair are stranded in the desert and in bad shape and Taylor comes along and picks them up in his car. Taylor proceeds to launch into his pun and prop comedy routine and Tommy Chong is all but begging to die as the trip proceeds and Taylor won't stop talking.
Rip Taylor was on all the talk shows, variety shows, celebrity roasts, game shows, as well as guest star roles in practically every sitcom on television in the 70's. He was unavoidable.
Welcome to the REAL world, you see... those born later on this planet have some work to do... you must Discover (first shut your mouth) and discover and most of all RESPECT those before you!! Chum.
I was too young to know that there was this thing with Paul Lynde and Rip and Liberace and so forth. I just thought he's just this remarkably exuberantly joyously happy fellow.
Or are you saying that you didn't realize he's gay. Just being a homosexual doesnt make you so joyful and "flamboyant" I believe that was his personality. I first understood that they all had discussed being apart of something the way your comment suggests.
This is a transition time between old school shtick and new school brainy - Taylor / Letterman. Rip was wacky and out of his head. today’s world needs material like this cuz we’re all in our heads too much.
@@dongiller Oh my gosh. I'm sorry. I meant Rip Taylor's entrance song the band played starting 0:34? Thank you for introducing me to that other great song and band tho!
