After the creation of the Khaganate, the Göktürks rush to Western Asia only to find many Turkic peoples that had been living on the frontier of Eastern Europe for centuries. When Istemi Yabgu - in command of the western part of the Khaganate - meets the White Huns further south, a war breaks out for the control of the trade cities along the Silk Road. The Turkic army takes on the White Huns during the Battle of Bukhara. Meanwhile, diplomats and generals in the capital cities of the Byzantine and Sassanian Empire are keeping an eye on the Turks, who by defeating the White Huns establish their position as a new regional power in Western Asia. But Istemi's Journey to the West has only just begun.
