Truly amazing to watch as a massive fan of before and after engineering projects and everything Disney. Having been lucky enough to ride Rise of the Resistance a few times in Feb/March, it was interesting to see the build process and extensive attention to detail put together by the Imagineers. Thanks for the epic quality video Martin :D
WOW. Incredible job. I'm local here in Anaheim and I'm so happy I was able to ride this before Disneyland was shutdown. Lots of people here didn't even get the chance because it was only open for about 2 months. Watching this is making me so excited to appreciate the incredible artistry of this attraction again once we reopen the gates. Cannot wait.
This, like the rest of Martin’s videos, are well shot and the most comprehensive info on the subject. This was no exception. His Main Street Electrical parade and Space Mountain videos are among my favorite. Great work!
Whelp, wasn't expecting this. I won't have the time to sit down and watch this until Monday but I know it's going to be excellent. I appreciate all the hard work put into your videos and documenting this amazing company.
I've ridden it twice, thankfully from both POV cars. Your video is amazing at how it describes the layout and the side-by-side POV's at the end is masterful. Great video!
Always high quality. For a change I was looking for myself in one of your videos just in case. Your behind the scenes videos and blueprints stole the show as usual. Thank you for this video.
31:30 This was me when my wife and I rode on it. I got into character and gave the big four to the First Order Officer. First Order Officer: How many are you? Me: Captain Galen Wick of the Ebon Hawk crew of two. First Order Officer: Wait here... 31:48 First Order Officer (The same one in this clip): Hpw many are you? Me: Captain Galen Wick of the Ebon Hawk crew of two. First Order Officer: I'll ask again, how many are you? Me: Captain Galen Wick of the Ebon Hawk crew of two! First Order Officer: So it's safe to assume that there is only two of you.... Me: That's all you get out of me First Order lap dog.... Several Disney guest had a good chuckle for that roleplay. But on a serious note, I hope that cast member among the rest are ok due to the layoffs at Disney because of COVID-19. I've seen him on other RU-vid videos and he was cool for engaging with me.
Ah, the memories of sitting on the floor in the corridor around 31:18 waiting for the ride to come back up after a breakdown 😅 Great video as always Martin!! Been looking forward to this one
i think galaxy’s edge was designed with florida in mind because the whole reason it was built in the first place was because hollywood studios was such a lackluster park with almost no rides & disney needed to get people to visit DHS. and they really had to cram it into disneyland in california because that whole resort is really small compared to florida & the amount of land they have there
I will definitely ride this attraction at Disney's Hollywood studios whenever I return to walt Disney world because it looks awesome. I hope to go back to walt Disney world next year in 2021 in order to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
See ya there! Hoping Tron will be operational. BTW I love Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios this was hard to get a spot on but well worth it(just keep mashing refresh, it worked for us in October).
Also I am the one who made the simulator and is currently redoing it, and I am panicking because I am seeing everything that I messed up and it all makes so much sense. The best part is that its all so minor that you would not notice.
Another outstanding video!! The detail you put into your videos adds beautifully to their quality. How in the world do you get the attraction audio? Love your videos SO much!!!
On the side-by-side rv comparison scene, you should've put those car -aduios in stereo; transpor t on left and tsansport 2 on right, rather than on mono which 1's louder than 2.
Disney fans are excited because they are used to rides like Alice, Mister Toad and sitting in a slow boat. Having an actual expensive ride design with such heavy theme work has them wetting themselves as you normally only see this thing at international parks.
You know what's really sad, even though I live in California I was Never able to ride this amazing ride. Someone offered to take me once and I was able to At least see the land and at least buy a Kyber Crystal ($200 for a lightsaber was Way out of my budget) Being a Star Wars fan Disneyland has never been within my budget but I guess I'm not a fan if I can't fork over hundreds of dollars huh?
I was at Disneyworld about a month ago on November 11, 2020 I have to wear my mask to keep me 6 feet away. I didn't go to this attraction just Magic Kingdom
I went on it at Disneyland and was not impressed at all. I thought it was a bunch of empty rooms. No desire to go back on it, and Im a HUGE Star Wars fan. To me Pirates Of The Caribbean and Spaceship Earth at Epcot have more elaborate show scenes.. They don't make them like that anymore. I enjoyed Beauty And the Beast ride at Tokyo Disneyland more then Rise of the Resistance.
