It was such an honor to be invited on your podcast Helmut! Thank you for all the invaluable work that you do for MB sufferers in your own inimitable way! Looking forward to continued pearls of wisdom and successes on your horizon!😎🌈☀
@@rlabarbera I have had crps for 16 years. Enjoyed this very much. Could I get your email to discuss my symptoms & what might help? Please and thank you
Loved this interview! It was eye opening to hear that doubt is a symptom as well. As I am full of doubts. It would have been great if we could've heard about her journey in the actual recovery process and what she did exactly to heal.
I firmly believe that people only need the ground rules.. Applying these opens the doors to knowledge, which resides in all of us. Better to use innate knowledge!
Agreed. That's what Glinda the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz said to Dorothy , "You had the power all along my dear"...so I just remind people of that and wear my puffy sleeves in solidarity with Glinda lol.
So glad you found it helpful!❤ I look forward to reconnecting with Helmut so that we can go into even more detail about the cognitive and emotional aspects of tms recovery. I'll be sure to give even more of the lowdown next time!💗
Great video! For ease of reference, I've typed out the following from it: The quotation that Rita read out from Dr Claire Weekes to encourage people who have improved and then have set backs is as follows: "For recovery the sufferer must have deep within himself/herself a special voice that says during any setback or dark moment "it's all right, you've been here before, you know it works, you know the way out, you can do it again, it works and you know it does". That voice speaks with authority and brings comfort only when it has been earned by the sufferer himself/herself and it can be earned only by making the symptoms and experiences that torture no longer matter. No longer mattering is key. It is not a question of some method of treatment spiriting misery away, anaesthetizing it. It is a question of the symptoms, the experiences no longer mattering." - Dr Claire Weekes "Nothing inhibits feeling like thinking" - Carl Jung "Indifference to the symptoms really is the silver bullet'" - Rita 'From Paralysis to Fatigue: A History of Psychosomatic Illness in the Modern Era" by Edward Shorter
Kit…..im doing a few sessions with Rita as my TMS issues are similar to hers etc. i was on Dan s zoom calls a yr & rid my post covid stuff in 3 months. My lingering is burning feet & legs. TMS can be very odd in type and location making it classic TMS
Great interview. Thanks for addressing the doubt, big thing, it is a symptom itself. I need to keep an evidence sheet with proofs like inconsistencies to remind myself that my condition is psychogenic and not physical if doubts creep up.
Yes exactly! You can use it as a battering ram against doubt and doubts that come at you from society. Stay determined and resolute to beat the doubt Most of all, believe in yourself!💗💗💗
@mindfulgardener911 Absolutely, she's super woman. I watched her Dan Buglio ( Dans my coach) interview alot. This is another one that will be great to watch again. Thank you for your work❤️
Yes, the limitation of the DNRS program is that it only addresses 1 aspect of the MB (human) experience, with a narrow focus on triggers. It's also a generic program that doesn't take into account individual psychologies, belief systems, or emotional processes. I don't believe they give credit to Dr. Sarno at all and therefore it's a marketing spin with heavy use of sciencey sounding buzzwords . They don't care what happens to people once they have completed the program and the majority continue to struggle which feeds more doubt.
