Imagine, Graham crackers, and instead of chocolate chips, using NUTELLA......oh my, if the Ritz is CRACK, then I'm scared to think of a slang word for changing to grahams & Nutella.... I hate even saying a conp raison on here, so I'll refrain, but just saying we may have to search for a HDA group!! HDA= Holiday Desserts Anonymous!!! Maria, you'll have tob be our group leader!! lol O hhh good times....except not really for us this year. Just lost my Mother 3 months ago... I'm an only child, married 30yrs, but spent 53 Christmases with my Mom....especially since she was widowed in 2005. She became like our child.... She was a huge support when tragically in 2013, we lost our youngest son. Sadly, we more or less loist our other son around the same time, as he became estranged from us, and has not really been back around since. Didn't even grant his only Grandmother her dying wish, just to see him before she left this world.... nor did he bother to pay his respects at her funeral. So disappointed in him, it's hard to talk so harshly about my very own child, but he brought it all on himself. Everything my Mom did for those boys. growing up and he refused to come see her,... That's awful, and has fractured our family forever, because while I may forgive him, I'll never forget what he did to my Mother, who gave him everything when he was growing up.,,. And it's not like we're talking about a 16 yr old KID, no, he's supposed to be a 31 yr old MAN. But I'm very ashamed of him....and she's not the only one he's hurt... it's like he leaves a path of destruction behind him, wherever he goes.... I used to think he needed help, well now I don't THINK, IM CONVINCED! But he's an adult now, he has to figure that out on his own.... until he does he will continue being a miserable person who will die a lonely old man, all alone, f he doesn't change his ways and start behind kinder to people in his life who have TRIED to help him... Idk where we went wrong... he was NOT raised to treat people this way... our other son was polar opposite, there was NOTHING he wouldn't do for his family & friends....so I don't know but our holidays are NOTHING like they once were.... I miss having everyone over, all the noise, hecticness, & chaos.... now the silence is deafening.... If not for OUR FAITH, our love for each other & our grandkids God certainly blessed us with I'm not sure where we'd be today. So I share this just as a warning to everyone- DON'T TAKE A moment for granted..... Hug your kids a little tighter.... ALWAYS remind your parents just how much they mean to you.... and every family member..., It's not something that can be said too Many times.... TRUST ME. GOD BLESS YOU ALL & HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS #JesusReallyIsTheReasonForTheSeason #FamilyReallyIsEverything #DontTakeYoyrLovedOnesForGranted #MissingMyBoysAndMyMotherAlways
I'm embarrassed to say, we already finished the first batch about a week ago 😬😅 I'm making more, screw it! These are truly addictive. I may need some help.
Just as well it’s better, Saltines cost an arm and a leg in the UK🤣 I use brown sugar but I bet this tastes just as good. I’m thinking of trying the ‘Ritz crackers sandwiched together with a melted Rolo’ recipe for a change.😋
I've done this with saltines but never Ritz. I'm definitely going to try it. Although I used brown sugar instead of white. With the brown sugar it ended up caramel-y. Lol Does the white sugar have the same effect or is it different?
I think EITHER SUGAR WORKS, BUT THE BROWN SUGAR DOES BECOME MORE CARMEL-Y LIKE....I saw this recipe from Trisha Yearwood's show... She uses brown sugar and Saltines...but I think the Ritz definitely would upgrade the dish! I also knew a lady who made this with Club crackers, and finely chopped pecans, no chocolate... it was awesome too... I loved both recipes, but can't wait to try it Maria's WAY!!!
