I know, that like most sub cultures in the US, big business has been successful in morphing the outsider into the mainstream. So, yeah, you’re right. When soccer moms and everybody else too are getting tattoos I understand that the industry has adapted to the times.

Some of the most unbelievable tattoo artists tattoo high. Just FYI. Him smoking weed shouldn’t have anything to do with him tattooing, especially if he was smoking on his own time.

@@nelshay581 I think smoking could actually be a benefit in some ways in a high stakes contest that could make people freak out, which his why it was against the rules. Regardless of whether you think it is fair, he DID sign the contract and he violated it, so it's fair that he got kicked off the contest.

Right like I guess that was before they legalized it because thats like taking a shot or something for people who regularly smoke. Scott from season 4 was a heroin user the judges felt bad for him he still won so I think they just didn't like joshua

I think it mostly has to do with the fact that he used it to cope and help himself. While the others were also struggling and didn’t turn to the same mechanism, plus it was against the rules anyways 🤧

There are stories that he actually cheated with his tattoos, the weed was just a cover story. You can Google it for more info. Not saying its true or false, though it does make more sense.

Season two was the same. Three was the worst in terms of bullshit. Jason’s win was deserved. He had a better piece with more elements and executed amazingly. I’m a bit bias because I like that style more, but it’s a great piece and got him the win he earned.

I think Josh feels like he's above reproach. The fact that he said he did it for his anxiety and he didn't feel like it gave him an advantage is a huge slap in the face to Jason who has severe anxiety issues. He was absolutely doing it to get ahead.

On this series of clips they didn’t show the completed Cat Woman tattoo. That one won, and rightly so. One of my favorite tattoos in all 13 seasons.

@@adaml4406, you clearly misunderstood this comment. He was referring to the competition itself. After an artist wins a flash challenge, they get to chose what artist tattoos what canvas. This gimmick has been on and off within seasons; but the canvas is given a skull with the name of the artist the flash winner gave them. I think what X-Static 's comment is trying to convey is about this gimmick. After winning a flash challenge, someone or everyone wants to go against one another instead of helping each other improve.

Apparently most of the footage of him had to be edited out because he wasn’t following the same format of everyone else- for instance, he would just stare right into the camera when not even the people giving interviews or narration would look directly in the camera (they’re all looking slightly off from directly in the camera). So any part where he might not be complaining had to be axed... but seeing some of his reviews online make it seem like there probably wasn’t a part where he wasn’t bitching about something.

You can do the best work in any field but when obliged to a contract that is stating you can't do something and if you do this thing the contract is terminated that are the consequences period. That's how it's work. If I'm working with kids and is stated in my contract i can't smoke pot and drink coffee on my brakes i can't smoke pot and drink coffee on my breaks even when my pedagogic work would be top notch and the kids would love to work with me that's the rules.

BRUH...he was cool as a fan...said he was down...I flew from San Antonio to Portland met up with him...we kicked it and he smashed the tattoo...during the breaks we chatted about the show vs real life and dude is legit...
