Rivals 2 could end up taking the mantle of "Best Platform Fighter"!
And this is my quick declaration of admiration towards such a game.
I freaking love platform fighters, and I've sunk unholy amount of hours in quite a few of them!
YES! I'm still in the honeymoon phase with this game!
SURE! No one knows what the future has in store!
Anything can happen!
BUT! I wholeheartedly believe in the sheer potential Rivals 2 exudes.
It hits all the right checkmarks and it's just straight up fun as hell to play.
My experience in every way leaves me feeling no less than completely impressed with both Rivals 2 and the dev team, Aether Studios.
I'm excited to see Rivals 2 rise up to the top!

Thank you so much to everyone who watched this video! It seriously means a whole lot to me that this video got 1,000 views! I was honestly expecting about 20 views when I put out this video, so this is mind-blowing! I've also had tons of fun interacting with you all in the comments, so an extra THANK YOU to the commenters! For about a year, I've been considering making videos kinda like this one, or at the very least going into detail on why I love a particular game and such! So, thanks to everyone's support, I'm allocating more time into actually creating videos like that! Also, a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge omega Thank You to the one who posted this video in the Rivals of Aether subreddit. That was so damn sweet of them! Not only did that make me so damn happy for the whole week, but I legitimately don't think this video would have even gotten to this milestone if not for that!

It really is! Rivals of Aether and Rivals 2 are the only non-Smash platform fighters that I truly feel like I can really sink my teeth into, and savor every single bite. I'm very excited to see what the future has in store for it!

Rivals 2 basically being the love child of Rivals 1 and PM, while also having some cool new shit of it's own is just so perfect for me, considering my 2 favorite plat fighters of all time are Rivals 1 and PM. Rivals 2 is gonna be something really special.

That is an excellent and succinct description of Rivals 2 and why it's so damn good. Rivals 2 just hits all the right checkmarks for me, and every Beta Weekend makes me more and more hungry for the game to finally come out. And it's always a good day to meet another PM enjoyer!

@@UmiOnami Hell yeah dude. I still remember discovering PM back in the pre-3.0 days, and I'll still boot up P+ from time to time. Such a shame Nintendo killed the scene for it basically overnight, and it's never quite recovered ever since.

Oh how nostalgic! For me, I believe I discovered PM like 2 days before 3.0 came out, by coincidence. And the rest was history. I'm very grateful towards all the work that is done with P+. I'm truly happy that it exists. But thanks to Nintendo and its constant antagonism towards all fan-made stuff and all the crap that came from such antagonism, there will always be an aching in my heart for the PM that used to exist.

I agree completely! I've never resonated with a game as quickly as I did when I first played Rivals 2. It was immediate. Every day that isn't a beta weekend is me waiting until another beta weekend.

Forsburn brother, hell yeah! 🤝 This video that was meant to just be a quick and casual dump of my feelings towards the game ended up becoming the video I care about the most so far. This game is basically a what if Nintendo actually understood and cared about their competitive community. Rivals 2 will be the best platform fighter of all time down the line.

The vision and direction of Rivals 2 so far has left me nothing less than completely impressed! I have full faith in the effort and talent of Aether Studios, so I'm really excited for the future of this game! I truly do believe that Rivals 2 could certainly make it as the best platform fighter down the road!

What the heck! Thank you for pointing that out! I never noticed. At the time (which was like only the second Beta Weekend, so everything was still really new), Skyjay was definitely the second-best Fleet I fought, and he was freaking tough! Though seeing that he recently got 9th in Rivals 2 at Supernova, it's safe to say that he will absolutely wipe the floor with me if we ever match up again. Which I hope we do!

Haha, yeah! You're right! I was sorta very barely beating him! I'm the best, babyyyy Goodness, you're right about la Reina. The best Incineroar playing her could end up being quite the menace!
