Camping at Fossil Falls campground for FREE!! Fossil Falls itself is really fascinating.
Fossil Falls is just off 395 in California. This is a really fascinating place where the Owens River carved through a lava dam millennia ago and created a double falls. It sculpted the lava rocks into incredible sculptures that really captivated me. I also camped in the adjacent campground for free. Definitely visit if you're in the area.
