River Scuba Diving - Found Something in a STRANGE Place. I like scuba diving strange places looking for relics. It's strange scuba diving. Diving in etowah river near allatoona dam looking for bottles with airbuddy is a one of kind experience. I go treasure hunting bottles. My favorite places to scuba diving are under bridges where it's easy hunting for stolen items.

I got this from Wikipedia…how ironic you also found vintage radio gear? The Woodbury Soap Company is an American manufacturer of personal care products such as cold cream, facial cream, facial powder, after-shave talc and ear swabs. Founded in Albany, New York in 1870, the company was sponsor to popular radio programs in the 1930s and 1940s.

The Woodbury jars were women face cream. I think it was supposed to remove freckles and age spots.Very cool dive.

(fyi’s) milk glass has value/variable sizes, colored thick glass w/set product writing, corked tops not screw on/ bottles & jars with #’s and state names have value .. (your local library or book store have books on jars & bottles to help start you out on info to look for) :))

1:50 They still sell Claw hammers with a wooden handle. The handle might not be as strong as the metal or fiberglass ones, but it can be easily replaced. Cool find and it is still useful for pounding on things!

Nice clarity when up close! New cameras? .. hammers are a hard one, (is that maybe 15 yrs old?) I have 3 really old small ball’ping hammers make great rock wall/fireplace art. Another safe” ..hi fishy …. You find really cool stuff Nug!

Considering the level of corrosion on that hammer versus the firearms you've found and the wood condition I wouldn't guess it's been down there more than twenty or thirty years. The claw part didn't rust away, just from looking at it, you could tell they'd been busted off. It was probably used in trying to open money boxes, cash registers, really cheap safes, etc. Once the claw broke off it was basically useless for their purposes so they just tossed it.

When you see hammers, especially when the claw part is broken off, wrenches or other heavy tool parts are found under water. They are most likely used as a murder weapon.

That hammer is not broken it is a brick/masonry hammer. Probably dropped from a bridge repair, I myself had a safty line on a new 30 ton bottle jack to lift the bridge to grease brake after 2 lifts an it went swimming

There are other hammers and wrenches just tossed of bridges. It was a generic remark considering how many they find while diving.
