Yes it's a great spot but the police have made it clear they do not want me using it!🙄 They said they better not catch the car on the road again so that's why I wait till I don't see any cars at all when I make a pass now! Kind of a pain but it is what it is! Thanks for watching brother.

Yep that's exactly what I did to the Rlaarlo mount! I think I seen it posted on Facebook a few months back. It's not very hard to do really. I also have a 4050-SVM 4236kv I'm excited to try next spring! Did you get your AK out to test yet?

@@micron3268 not yet. I kept having parts break as I built it and it took too long to get replacements. I stripped out an aluminum rear lower arm as well as the housing that goes over the front differential. It took Rlarrlo 2 months to send me a new front housing and 5 weeks for the lower arm. I suppose I could have put the plastic lower arm back on and glued the front housing but I wanted it right. The biggest issue was a secure motor mount for my 4040 SVM. I bit the bullet and bought a PPS mount a few weeks ago and it hasn’t arrived yet. I think I’m going to try to modify the Rlaarlo motor mount - not much to lose there and if it works, great for my other Rlaarlo car (787). The main thing is I couldn’t determine how to work with the Rlaarlo adj. mount other than to shim it and the results were a little flimsy; I thought it might break under load. I’m also building a full Scorched Parts Infraction GT/FC-100 with a TP 4070 SCM and XLX2. I have wanted that combo for a while. Good to chat with you!

Yeah, I understand about the getting parts from them, they are better than they used to be, but it still takes a while to receive them! I just placed a big parts order from them just to stock up for next spring's runs! That Scorched Infrac sounds sweet man, I'm very seriously thinking about building a infraction or Vte2 myself! Bad news or report! I tried to turn over the Rlaarlo motor plate and drill two new holes o In three opposite side and could not keep the drill going straight? One hole was mostly straight and one was a disaster. I don’t have a drill press so I held my drill on its side on a table so it was fixed in that plane and my results were a disaster! The next problem was the thread tapping tool I bought did not have threads going all the way to the end so the holes needed to be at least 2mm deeper than the screw ends would be. The threads were not cleanly cut. Do you have a drill press? Any suggestions?
